“Okay my turn to ask some questions number one, why are you all here and number two who sent you?” Major Leroux looked at Michael and shifted his gaze at the entire party. Daniel was the first to speak and said “we are here to destroy any projects that the ARMY is or has created, that is detrimental to the human and animal species. Quite a few of these bases have been destroyed as of recently and we intend to make sure that all of them will be destroyed or at least shut down.” Oscar looked at him and shook his head in acknowledgement. “I have heard of some of these bases being taken out but mostly up in the northern tear states. The incident at the base in Georgia is still sketchy but we are investigating the details as we speak.” Susanna spoke this time and said, “Would you like the low down from the horses mouth so to speak Major?” Oscar looked at her and actually sat down. He then offered all of them to have a sit down and asked for some coffee to be brought.

After they all got comfortable and the coffee arrived, the Major asked Susanna to proceed with her story. Ketchin scooted back over to Nancy and lay at her feet as the story proceeded. Susanna told of all the things that happened with Michael and Daniel and Theresa filling in spots that Susanna had forgotten about. She told the Major and the other men in the room all about the General and the Colonel and how things had progressed. She hesitated long enough to let Daniel tell about his part and how he came to be with the team. After they had told of the incidents and even brought the base at Tallahassee into the telling. The Major was very quiet for a short period while everyone sipped there coffee and ate some pastries that had been brought in. Oscar then looked at all of them and rested his eyes on Theresa. He said “my second question has not been answered yet so I am going to ask you young lady because I remember you from somewhere but it has slipped my mind for now so maybe you can fill in some blanks.”

Theresa knew this man from the secret base in Wyoming and how he had been kind to her when she first came there. He was an ensign in control of a small platoon of guards at the time and she did not converse with him much but even so he was a kind man. She looked at him deeply into his eyes and tried to speak into his mind but he was not open yet and so could not hear her. She then spoke and asked if he had ever been stationed in Wyoming. Oscar’s eyes lit up and his face grew a big surprise on it. “Now I remember where I had met you.” You came to that base with those other scientists. I remember when we were all called to that other base how that Major and the lieutenant destroyed the experiments and took all the other scientists away except that one that appeared to have committed suicide.” Theresa thought it would be better if she did not tell Oscar how and why that man had chosen to die. She did tell him what happened to the scientists and the two officers that destroyed the base and why. “So those two officers and the scientists are still alive I presume?” Theresa told him, “yes they are all still alive and Major Ballard is the one that sent us here.”

Oscar stood up so quick that his chair fell backwards. Ketchin stood up also and moved closer to Nancy as Oscar said in a louder voice than usual. “I knew it, I just knew it, the Major and that lieutenant was responsible for the destruction. The ARMY is still looking for all of them and has even put people on Mars and the Moon bases hoping to find them.” Oscar began pacing around and silently talking to himself. He finally came to a stop and said “That Major was a brilliant inventor and the stuff he took with him would have allowed the ARMY to control the world. I was so relieved when we all got back and everything was destroyed and nothing remained. It was a brilliant move on Major Ballard’s part to create the false flag that he did to empty that base. Can you tell us where they are located?” Theresa heard the mind speak of the team all at once telling her to not give that information until Bill gave the go ahead. The questions this man had asked and his enthusiasm gave them all cause for alarm at the moment.

Theresa reached into Oscars mind once again and penetrated the barrier that kept him locked up. He had lived a childhood of complete misery. His mother had died from some cancerous disease when he was just 4 years old and his father was in the ARMY so he was away most of the time. When his mother had died his father came home for about a week just to bury her and make arrangements for him to live with the Grandparents. His Father was a Colonel in the ground forces or infantry and had command over a small battalion of men that were fighting in the Asian theater at the time. After he had come home and buried Oscar’s mother he went back to his JOB and Oscar never saw him again. A few months later, Grandpa Joe received a box in the mail and it had his fathers name on it. Grandpa and Grandma were his mother’s parents and their last name was Leroux. Grandpa took the box and had shown Oscar what was in it. Oscar was locked up in his mind by then and he really never knew his father so the contents of the box meant nothing to him. Grandpa took it and went to the northwest corner of the property and buried the box in a deep hole. That became the end of Oscar’s given name at birth which was Richard and his knew name of Oscar and he took the Grandparents last name.

He grew up on the small farm with his Grandma and Grandpa until he was 15 and they both passed away within a few weeks of each other. The farm was confiscated by the bank and he was taken to a state facility to be raised until he turned 17. He was there for 2 two days and snuck out a window and never looked back. He lied about his age to get into the ARMY. Theresa had read all of his history and his pain that blocked his thoughts. She also discovered that he was not a bad fellow but just wanted to help the people. He had his run-ins with the Emperors people and the ARMY upper echelon. He was just being exuberant with the discovery of Major Ballard and his continued existence. He had celebrated for months about what had happened and had been transferred to this assignment shortly afterward. His promotion in rank came suddenly and he found himself in charge of this assignment in a short amount of time. He had been told what the emperor was up to and that it would be an invasion into a foreign country so he had to keep a low profile. Theresa soon found out all of the details of his life to this point and slowly and easily began to open his mind.

As Oscar began to calm himself he turned and asked Michael a very pointed question. “We need access to your Chopper; can you provide that to us?” Michael looked at him and said “I thought the hatch was left open and you should have been inside by now. I do not know what has caused you to not do that.” Michael was so thankful that he had printed the chopper to respond to their commands only and that it had shut itself up after they had been taken. Major Leroux looked at him with skepticism but moved right ahead. “The only way we could and can find that bird is with our dogs because they can see it and we can not. We even broke the code of the dispance cloak but the one you have around the bird is far superior to what the military is using today. I would suppose that is a new invention of Major Ballard, am I right?” Michael just looked at him and shrugged his shoulders. “I am baffled as to why you can not get into the cabin.” The Major looked perplexed but said “okay we will let that drop for now but maybe when we get to know each other better you can tell us all about those things. I think for now we need talk about what is going to happen and how you all are going to be involved in it. I will tell you that there is another base like this up on the western border of the Panhandle and they do have the silo’s loaded and ready to fire.”

Sherman and his two deputies had sat on the side and listened to the preceding conversation and even thought for a moment that he was going to have to calm Oscar down himself. He was distracted by the beautiful blond haired woman that Ketchin had taken a liking to. She was about his age if he was a good judge of that sort of thing and he could not take his eyes from her very long. She had looked up and caught him starring at her a few times now and had even smiled at him. He found her so striking that it was all he could do to keep from looking at her continually. She looked like a twin sister of the other blond haired woman but a bit older and perhaps more mature. That was just his influenced opinion but she was just so beautiful. She caught him starring once and looked at him with deep blue eyes. The smile on her face made him blush and he had to look at one of his deputies and say something to him. The deputy reached over and said Huh what did you say chief? He told him to shush and turned back to the conversation. The woman was patting Ketchin and whispering to him. He was so infatuated with her he wished he could be the dog at that moment.

Susanna had caught the deep feeling emanating from Nancy and when she looked at her she was starring at the sheriff. When she looked at the sheriff he was looking at one of his deputies. She looked back at the Major as he was talking and did a quick look back at the sheriff and he was starring at Nancy again. She had caught him doing that quite often since they had been in the office. She knew her sister quite well and could feel the emotions from her on a continuous basis since they were both just a few years old. Nancy was a few years older but they did appear to be twin sisters. Susanna could feel something between the two and it was a very good feeling. It was as if two souls had just found each other again. Oscar stopped talking for a few minutes and then told everyone that they would all go to the mess hall and get some dinner.

When all the people stood up to leave, Ketchin stood up and bumped next to Nancy. Sergeant McConnell gave a sharp command for him to come but Ketchin did not want to move. Mitch looked at him and walked over to attach his cord to the dog’s collar. When he got close enough to do that he spoke to Nancy and said “looks like you have made a friend for life here Miss”, Nancy told him that her name was Nancy so he said “Nancy, this dog has taken to you very much and he does not want to leave you. It appears that he would rather die first.” Nancy bent down and while scratching and petting Ketchin she spoke very quietly to him. He whimpered a little and moved to Mitch and let him attach the cord. Nancy had stood back up and said to the Sergeant “Will you allow him to sit with me after dinner then?” Mitch said he would and they all left to eat.

They all left the office or conference room and went over to another block building that the crew could not see from the chopper position. When they walked in it reminded Michael of one of those old time restaurants that he had seen pictures of in his young days. Along one entire wall standing away from the wall was a line of cases or something with different foods in each case. They were in a line so people could walk on each side. At one end was a large table area where all the plates and utensils rested. At the other end of the food cases were condiments and paper products plus glasses and cups. Past all of that there were vending machines lined against an end wall where one could fill cups or glasses with all sorts of drinks. Along a partial wall area were trash containers and places to leave the plates and utensils and any other dishes. They all stood looking as the Major and the other men walked over and picked up trays and put their dishes on them and then began to walk along the cases and pick what ever food they wanted and place it on the dishes as they moved along. The team took note and followed suit moving along to gather food. The one thing that happened that was a surprise to all that witnessed it was the sparking between Nancy and Sherman.

Nancy had waited for all her team mates to go ahead and then gathered her tray and began to place some dishes on it as she moved slowly toward the food cases. She hadn’t noticed at first but Sherman fell in right behind her and was moving with her through the line. When she reached the food cases she stood for a minute looking at the choices and decided to build a salad. When she reached for the tongs to get the lettuce Sherman had also reached for the tongs. As their hands touched an electric arc buzzed into the air. There was a bright light at that moment that lit up the entire dinning room. For the brief moment the two connected each looked at the other and their eyes were lit also. Nancy and Sherman both let out a small gasp and the recognition between them was confirmed. Sherman pulled back his hand and asked forgiveness. Nancy stood very still and looked at him with a big smile on her face and handed the tongs to him very gently. She said “you first my dear man” and then asked if he would sit with her while they ate. That became the coming together of two souls that had been searching for each other since reincarnating back to this plane of existence. In a far distant place of time Hava and Luun rejoiced for the reunion of the two spirits.

Susanna had witnessed the electrical arc and felt the connection of her sister and Sherman. She totally made the connection and had complete understanding of why Nancy had sought out the first man she was married to. He was a policeman or had become one after the schooling. So Nancy had been searching for her soul mate, twin flame and the instinct in her was for the law enforcement type. All the team members were smiling at what had just happened and they all knew what Susanna knew at the same time. Montgomery and Kalista were in the middle of planting another orchard in the northern area of Nevada when the connection made them stop. They floated to the other children and all rejoiced. When they resumed the planting of the orchard it grew in size and the seedlings began to sprout almost before they completed the process. It was as if all of heaven rejoiced and the planting of the spirits grew mightily. Montgomery and Kalista both knew that something quite dangerous was coming but yet a complete miracle was happening and would be happening. When they completed this planting they would all be taking a small vacation in the mountainous area of northern Nevada before engaging a project with so many others.

After getting their food they all moved to a table that would seat all of them and began eating. Oscar spoke up after a few mouthfuls and began to talk about the base up around the Northwestern part of the panhandle. “We have scouted the base a few times in the past few months and there is a small platoon of Texas Rangers that keep a constant eye on the doings of that place. Lieutenant Jeremiah Wilson is in charge up there and he and his men are like the Native Americans. I do belief they have Apache blood in their veins. They all ride horses for transportation and sleep under the stars. In the winter months they have hidden huts that no one would ever find. Now that ground or land up there is mostly desert but those boys blend right in. We have communications with them and I can tell him who and what to expect if that is where you are headed? Michael had listened and spoke in the mind to the team about trusting this man. Everyone gave their feelings about him and had decided that he was a trustworthy soul. He was just a bit exuberant. Michael shook his head for the man to continue.

Oscar continued and told them more about the base. “When the Emperor could not get his way with this base and lost too many of his minions over it he appeared to give up and the president of Texas told the little toad that he would send his army to invade Denver if he did not stop trying to take Texas back. The toad did not want that to happen so everything got quiet. It wasn’t long when Jeremiah and his men witnessed the toad’s minions building that base. They actually tried to enter Texas once more but were stopped by a regiment of the Texas Militia. They moved back into New Mexico and began to build the base as close to the border as they could without actually encroaching onto Texas land The Texas Militia Bivouacked just 2 miles from that base as it was being constructed When it was finished it looked like a mirror image of this base so we knew there purpose and sure enough they trucked in the missiles and loaded those silo’s in broad daylight as if to antagonize us. Well President Sam Houston, wait I know what you are going to say, He is the spitting image of his ancestor and he was elected by the good folk of this nation. Anyway he told us that we could do nothing at this point because they were on their own land and all we could do is to keep a close eye on them.” As far as those Nukes go we are putting a contingency plan into play unless you have something better. We cannot start something but you folks can, see-ins’ how you ain’t Texan’s.”

The conversation carried on some more about the base to the North and very good Intel was given as to its exact location and how to contact Jeremiah. Once that was accomplished Jeremiah would direct them on an approach that would be safe. They all ate a very good meal and the Sun began to set in the West. When they all finished, Major Leroux asked if they would all like to join him and his men around a large fire pit that they kept burning in the night. He said it was a great place to bring the civilian folk and talk about the happenings of the day all over the county and even what was going on at the capital over in Houston. The team said they would be honored to sit around that fire. Susanna had kept her mind open to Nancy and Sherman and the two had talked about their experiences and even connected with their past lives. Once they all stood up to go outside, Sherman stood also and helped Nancy up and asked if he could escort her out to the fire. She held out her arm for him to take and asked if Ketchin could join them. Sherman walked her out of the mess hall and towards a barracks looking building. Once they reached it he asked her to wait for a moment and went inside. A few minutes later Ketchin pushed the door open and moved right up to Nancy and stood waiting for her to touch him. She bent and patted his head and Sherman came out and took her arm once again and they all moved toward the big meeting place around the fire. The evening air had begun to cool off from the heat of the day and it was very comfortable. The Sun set had left a beautiful red, pink and lavender sky and the distant hills painted a wonderful skyline.

They all found places to sit and some of the men were adding logs of mesquite, Juniper and scrub oak to the center fire pit. Michael noticed that cars and trucks were arriving from the east which would be from Mentone he surmised and it seemed like a big gathering of folks. Theresa stood and moved off toward the front gate area. Daniel wondered what she might be up to but knew that she always had a purpose of some sort so thought to wait for her return. Sherman and Nancy walked up with Ketchin following very close to Nancy’s side. They came over and joined the team and the Major with a few of his men. Once they were all sitting the Major started to speak to Michael. “I must apologize for my rudeness today, I am sure I was over exuberant and enthusiastic and you may have mistaken my questioning for a hostile move. I assure you that I am just protecting this base and the good folk of the County. I am just so interested in what you and your team members are doing for the healing of this world. It has become such an evil planet over the past hundred’s of years and this century has brought the most sickness upon human and animal kind. We fight daily to keep our sanity and when we are called to go and help others we do that at a moments notice.”

As Oscar continued to talk he asked if the team would like to stay over. “We have some great barracks and as you have seen and experienced we have some great food also. The men under this command are all Freemen and do this for the cause of freedom and health of all.” Michael had finally read Oscars mind and felt at ease with the man. He looked at the team and they all spoke in the mind at once about staying over for the night. Michael looked at Oscar and told him they would be honored to stay the night. “It might be the safest evening we get for awhile.” He then spoke in a more quiet voice and told Oscar that he would like to take him and a couple of his best men to the chopper for a quick tour. Oscar’s eyes lit up and he agreed. Folks started showing up from the town and around the county and finding places to sit and greet the men and women of the base. A very friendly feeling began to fill the air. Susanna asked if this went on every night. Oscar said no it does happen twice a week though and sometimes if the need is great for the folks to speak about what is happening. We get to have Sam and his men up once in awhile and that is a real shindig. Sam does love to come here and we get folks from all over the nation who can make it when those times happen.

Nancy was talking with Sherman and feeling the absolute love connection with him when Sergeant Mitch McConnell walked over and bent down to pet Ketchin. The dog had watched him coming and seemed a bit anxious at first but when Mitch started to pet him he relaxed once again. Mitch looked at Ketchin with loving affection and then looked up at Nancy. “Nancy I have to tell you that this dog has never taken to someone like he has with you and I am given over to loosing him.” “The Major has asked me to give him to you as a gift from all of us. I do not think he will ever leave your side and if you have to leave him he will pine for you until you return. He is the most loyal guard dog we have and to let him go will be a sorrow to me but knowing that he will be with you gives me great happiness also.” Nancy had tears falling from her eyes as Mitch spoke these words to her. Ketchin had sat up and was looking at her with his big brown eyes and reached a paw up and put it on her leg. She looked at Mitch and then at Ketchin and slipped to her knees and wrapped her arms around him. Ketchin laid his head on her shoulder and they both connected in spirit. When she stood back up she hugged Mitch and thanked him and looked around at the other folks who were all smiling and beginning to clap. Sherman hugged her and they both sat back down.

As her and Sherman sat down she noticed Theresa walking toward the fire. Right behind her was Bill and Carolyne. They both were dressed in the uniforms that she had seen them in when they had visited and then when they came back for a short vacation before they were to go on that very dangerous mission into Nevada. She continued to talk with Sherman and pat Ketchin. Ketchin looked at the three people and his tail began to wag wildly. Nancy whispered to him to be calm for now so he lowered his head and waited with patience. Susanna and Daniel both saw Theresa coming with Bill and Carolyne. Michael and Oscar were discussing the chopper when Theresa walked up and stopped. Oscar heard the silence and stopped talking. Michael also heard the silence and looked around. He saw Theresa first then Bill and Carolyne in their uniforms. He turned back and saw Oscar starring with a white face. Oscar stood suddenly and saluted. He used his other hand to motion to his men to stand and salute. Bill walked forward towards the fire and warmed his hands. Carolyne had risen in the night sky while every ones eyes were on Bill so they did not see her float upward. All the people around the fire had been silenced when Bill moved to the fire and their eyes were glued to him Daniel and Nancy along with Susanna and Michael witnessed Carolyne rise and as she did she placed a finger over her lips as if to say quiet.

Oscar started to stutter something but Bill turned from the fire and said “easy Oscar we are here to help you all. Do you have any coffee I might have a cup of? Oh and by the way my wife would like some tea it you have any?” Oscar found his breath and speech after a gasp or two and asked for some coffee and cup of tea. He looked around for the Lieutenant but did not see her anywhere. He asked Bill where she might have gotten to. Bill raised his arms and Carolyne floated down and touched the ground. Everyone around the fire let out a large gasp. Carolyne spun up a little bit and turned around to introduce herself. “I am Carolyne Johnson and was once Jamie Carol. My husband and I are here to help and give some gifts that will help all of you.” With that she lowered to the ground and someone came up and handed her the cup of tea. Bill took the cup of coffee and they both sat down next to the Team. Bill asked everyone how they were doing and if they were ready to do the next job of taking the base out at the Panhandle. Everyone said yes and Michael told him what Oscar had been telling them. Bill looked at Oscar and said “yes I do suppose Oscar has been a wealth of information and now it is our place to give these fine men and women the gifts we have brought. First we have another guest that has been itching to join us” and with that Bill opened a portal to Sam Houston’s living room and asked him to come. Sam stepped out next to Bill and the entire crowd of folks clapped and yahooed. Sam raised his hands and told everyone “thank you but I am just another guest here and you are the real folks that are the hero’s.”

When Sam stepped into the midst of the crowd Sherman stood and helped Nancy up and then walked over to shake his hand. As he approached, Sam saw him and welcomed him with open arms. “Sherman, I did not expect to see you here at this time of the night but I am very glad. I have some good news for you it you can wait till I speak with Oscar and Bill.” Sherman shook his head and he and Nancy sat back down with Ketchin. Sam walked over to Oscar and told him what Bill and Carolyne had done for the great Nation of Texas and how they have given the new dispance cloaks and the new stealth gear for all their vehicles and choppers. “They have given some other wonderful inventions that will help with winning the health and healing of the country and the world and they will be given here tonight also to this place.” Someone handed the President a cup of coffee and he said thank you and then turned and Pulled Bill and Carolyne both closer to the fire and introduced them as Bill and Carolyne Johnson, newly confederated allies of the Nation of Texas. Every one whooped and hollered and then Sam asked every one to stand tall and that place up around the border of the Panhandle was going to be dismantled. Before everyone could whoop again Sam held up his hands and bid them farewell for now because he was in the middle of a planning for better times. He walked over and talked with Sherman for a few minutes and Sherman’s face lit up with a giant smile. Bill opened the portal once again to his living room and the President shook all of their hands and stepped through. When the portal closed every one whooped and hollered again. Some one started playing some music and some one set off some fireworks. The night became quite jovial and the fire burned warm. There was an area where folks were dancing and the laughing and music mingled into wondrous times.

Bill, Michael and Daniel gathered Oscar and Mitch and Harry, the two men that Oscar had as his closest men of the base and floated them all out to the chopper. When they reached the area Oscar saw a suburban sitting in the open area. They all landed and Michael gave a voice command and the chopper hatch opened. He stood aside and offered Oscar to enter first. Mitch and Harry were amazed and walked over to the suburban. Mitch opened the driver side door and gazed into the vehicle. “This doesn’t look any different than one of those old gas powered trucks. You gonna show us the difference?” Bill walked over with Daniel while Michael and Oscar climbed into the chopper. Bill handed the keys to Mitch and said why don’t you start it up and turn some lights on so we can all see.” Mitch hopped in and turned the key. The truck started right up and purred like a kitten. The lights on the dash were on and Mitch found the cabin lights and turned them on. Bill backed up and shut the door. He stood next to the window and asked Mitch to roll it down. Mitch complied and Bill showed him a special pull knob just under the dash where the emergency brake was located. He said “pull that.” Mitch did and quiet engulfed them. Mitch looked at bill and the other two men with a surprise and big question. “What just happened?” Bill told him that he just activated the stealth gear and the truck could not be tracked with anything as long as it was activated.

“Now on the other side of the steering wheel is another pull toggle, pull that one.” Mitch found it and it looked like an old fashion lighter that was in all of the vehicles. He pulled it thinking it would come out but instead nothing seemed to happen except the toggle came out a little ways and stopped. He turned and looked at Bill through the open window and said “so what happens now?” Bill told him to “place your right hand on the 1 o’clock position of the steering wheel and push the button on the dash where the speedometer is and while pushing the button give a password of your choice. Make it something that you will always remember. It’s very important.” Mitch found the button and pushed it with his left hand and said the word Ketchin and then let the button go. It popped back out and then he said “Now what?” Bill told him to open the door and roll up the window then get out and close the door. So Mitch did all of that and as soon as the door shut the truck disappeared and nothing could be heard. Mitch backed up of a sudden and stepped on Harry’s boot. Harry pushed him and said “What did you just do?” Mitch looked around and said “apparently I broke it.” Bill smiled and so did Daniel then both of them began to chuckle. Mitch and Harry looked at both of them and appeared to be agitated. “Why are you both laughing I just destroyed something that you created and you told me how to do it?”

“What is the matter with you two?” Bill and Daniel continued to laugh and even got louder until Bill finally stopped and pushed Mitch forward. Mitch was caught off guard but fell into something hard. He put his hands out and felt the truck body. He pushed himself back and said “My God the thing is invisible.” Bill told him that he had activated the dispance cloak. Mitch again backed up and said “well how the heck am I going to know where this vehicle is if I do that and then leave to do something.” Bill told both of them to follow him. They began walking and got about 30 feet or so and Bill stopped. He turned around and the two men did the same. Bill told Mitch to say his password. Mitch did not understand at first but then remembered that part of the learning thing and spoke “Ketchin” out loud. A split second later the window rolled down on the driver’s door and they all saw the lighted rectangle in the air. It was weird but Mitch could see into the truck and the overhead light was still on. Bill looked at him and said “Next time you might want to turn the light off especially if it is night time and you don’t want others to see where you parked. You can see the difference when the window comes down even if it is totally dark out. The second time you say the password the door will automatically open for you. Give it a try”. Mitch said the word again and the door swung open.

Bill told Mitch and Harry that each man that would use this vehicle would have to do the same instructions that Mitch just did. The men had the big question of how they were going to make a vehicle like this one until Bill told them that this vehicle was going to be theirs. He talked about the dispance cloaks and the stealth gear and then brought up the other attachment, the jet pack that was attached to the motor and would let this beastie move at around 500 miles per hour if needed to be. He told them all about the special reinforcement techniques and the special tires and how to make those. He told them how to outfit the other vehicles on the base and that all the gizmos were in the boxes in the back of the suburban. “There should be enough to outfit at least 20 more vehicles and three choppers if you have those. We know you have some smart men on the base that know all about the dispance cloak and probably the stealth gear also and we will show them how to hook this stuff up so it will be up to them to make more as needed from there. We have given this to the President and he is putting his best men on it as we speak. Now we intend to give all this to the Rangers also plus some other things they can use that are special for them. I do believe Michael has given some good stuff to Oscar and showed him how to hook things up in the choppers you might have on the base so you two will take this back to the base and we will meet you there.” Mitch and Harry climbed into the suburban and headed off towards the base. Bill and Daniel walked over to the chopper and climbed aboard. Michael and Oscar were sitting in the front and when Michael heard the hatch close he spun the rotor and they climbed into the night sky and moved toward the base.

The telling and the gift giving lasted well into the early morning. The fire was warm and people had begun to meander home around 9 pm and kept clearing out until just the base inhabitants and the sheriff were still sitting around the fire at 11pm. The team was introduced to all the men and women that lived on the base and Bill and Carolyne finally stepped into the Garden around midnight after informing the team where to meet them when the mission at the Panhandle was complete. The mission to Area 51 in Nevada was going to take a well concerted effort to clean up and the time frame was running out so the team had only a few weeks to take care of the business up North. Nancy and Sherman had sat quietly off to one side of the fire and talked with each other continuously. Sherman had petted Ketchin as well as Nancy did and the dog was in bliss as it seemed.

Around 12:30 Sherman’s deputies showed up with two scrammer jeeps and left one for Sherman. He shook all the teams’ hands and talked with Oscar for a short time and when he turned to leave Nancy stood up and grabbed his arm. Ketchin was right beside her as they all walked toward Sherman’s Jeep. The team, and the other folks watched as the three climbed into the jeep and drove towards the east. Daniel looked at Theresa and Susanna and asked it they would be picking up Nancy and Ketchin when they left for the North. Susanna looked at him then looked at Theresa and then moved close to Michael and hugged him. Oscar stood and asked them if they would follow him and he would show them their quarters. Theresa spoke in the mind to Daniel and said she would explain where Nancy is going when they were alone. They all walked with Oscar to another building that none of them had noticed until just now. They entered into a hallway and Oscar showed them to separate rooms as they moved down the hall. As they entered the rooms it was like walking into a motel room with a small sitting area and all the amenities of a small kitchen and separate restroom. The rooms were decorated simply but felt quite comfortable. Before they had entered the rooms Oscar had asked what time they would like to be woken. Michael had told him that they would get up around sun up and that would be good.

In the rooms Susanna told Michael what has become of Nancy. You saw the sparks in the dinning room. Nancy came with us because it was her destiny. She found her soul mate or twin flame as it is also described. She has been looking for him all her life and this just happen to be the place where both of them finally came back together. Ketchin is a spirit that was with her in a past life also. That is why he was so taken to her and her to him. All three of them are now one again and all for the better. Sherman and her will be connected or wed by the Devine Creator. They already are connected. I am sure we will see them again but for now they have much to catch up on and Nancy was taken to a dream healing place when she first came to the Haven. She will take Sherman and Ketchin there and a place called Paradise. It would appear that all is coming together the more we heal and cleanse this world. I see us continuing for now and tomorrow we will prepare to go north and meet some more healers. So for now my darling shall we get some much needed rest? Michael and Susanna both slipped into the dream network and stayed for weeks while they slept in this realm of earth. They both met Evelyne and Eryne and enjoyed the bliss of learning and being. In the room across the hall Daniel learned all about what was happening to Nancy from Theresa and they both slipped into the Dream network and met with Michael and Susanna and the girls.

38 PHILAMENA

One day at the Haven Joanna and Christine were walking through the orchards and gathering some fruits to make some pies and fruit dishes for the café’ when they saw a cow wondering along and munching the grass. Joanna starred at the cow and said “that is a Brahman cow I have seen them before and they are such wonderful creatures”. “Would you like to get close to it” I am wondering how it got down here”? She began to walk towards the cow and said to Christine “come on we can go and see if this creature is tame”. Christine was a bit concerned about approaching a big animal such as this but being around Honovi and Arie and his mate made her feel less afraid of any animal and especially one down here in the Haven. Both women walked easily towards the cow as she grazed.

Philamena had seen the two humans picking the fruit when she had begun to graze the sweet grass. She grazed slower and waited for them to come closer. She loved humans and as she waited she thought about her family and how she found this place. She had found the cave in the hill side a few weeks prior and it had been raining while she was in the forest so she ran into the cave to escape the downpour and saw something at the back of it that was interesting. As she approached it something happened. As she walked into it she thought she would be going back to the farm where Harriet was. As it turned out she did not go back to the farm but rather into a place that had a road way and as she walked along it she saw the orchards and the tall grass. She became quite hungry and wandered towards those places. She ate her fill and bedded down in an orchard with a huge tree. When she awoke she ate some more of the grass and walked back to the swirling dust cloud and left the cave. She made it back to the old farm and Harriet was very happy to see her.

Harriet was the only one living on the old farm now and always took care of her. She loved her and Harriet loved her back. Harriet would milk her when the time was right and she always gave sweet tasting milk with thick cream. She had been born on the bigger farm that was to the area where the light turned on in the morning time. Harriet and Philbert Mena raised her from birth. Her mother had died shortly after her birth and Philbert and Harriet nursed her until she could move around on her own and then they fed her and made a very comfortable home on the big farm. Harriet was the one that named her because she loved her husband. The name stuck and she learned that when it was used the humans were calling her so she would go and eat such good foods and they would comb and curry her and even wash her. Her color had solidified into a creamy Carmel brown and her shoulder hump had a darker shade around the top that resembled a smoke gray and her ears were long and floppy. Her face was longer than a standard cow and her eyes were large and blue.

As the two humans walked closer Philamena kept grazing and moving towards the big tree she had slept under the first night she was here. She continued to reminisce her life and think of Harriet and Philbert. She remembered when Philbert and Harriet’s only child had left the farm. He was just a small human at the time but something seemed wrong, she remembered him running out of the place where Harriet and Philbert lived and making loud noises at them. Philbert was making the noises back and it seemed like when the little birds that lived in the caged houses would screech and carry on with each other. The little human, who never came close to her, picked up something and threw it at Philbert. It hit him and he started to run at the little human. One of the things that humans used to travel in pulled up very quickly and the little human got in and the thing took off and left a big dust cloud as it moved down the road way. Philbert went to the barn and Philamena did not see him again until very late that day when the light had fallen in the sky and the darkness had come. Things were different from that time on with Philbert and he would hardly ever touch her after that. Harriet would talk with him but he seemed not to listen.

One day the little human showed up with some other humans and he was not so little anymore. All the humans with him pulled up in there things that had wheels and got out and came to the living place of Harriet and Philbert. They pounded on the door and when Philbert opened it they gave him a handful of white sheets. The next light, Philbert had pulled an old thing up that had wheels and he and Harriet began to load some things into it. Philamena had wandered up and was standing close to the thing when Philbert walked over and put a cord around her neck and tied it to the back of the thing with wheels. Philbert and Harriet both got into the wagon thing and slowly drove down a road. She had to walk faster than usual but managed to keep up as they drove into a large wall of trees and kept going until they were deep into the trees. Philamena did not know what to think about this until after awhile Philbert turned the wagon thing off the forest road and moved down another different road until they stopped in front of an old building like the old shed thing that was behind the barn at the other place. They both got out of the wagon thing and went inside the building. Philamena watched as a cloud of dust started coming from holes in the building and for quite some time this continued.

She was getting thirsty and had lain down on the road and then began to get hungry. Philbert finally came out of the building and untied her from the wagon thing and led her over to a fenced area and opened a gate. He led her in and let her loose and then went to a place where he began to push up and down on a stick. Shortly water began to pour out and fell into a large container. She knew from seeing this happen before that there was water at the bottom of the stick thing. Philbert filled a big container full of water and walked back to the gate and shut it. She felt so lonely with that movement. It was as if she was being abandoned. There was a lot of grass in the area and she began to eat. She had drank the water and eaten the grass and lain down to rest by the time Philbert and Harriet had taken all the things from the wagon thing and moved them inside. It was dark by now and Philamena watched the lights come on inside the building where Harriet and Philbert were. She finally went to sleep lying in the taller grass and dreamed of a mate.

Philamena had spent time in the fenced place and during the light time Philbert and Harriet would let her out to roam around. So she fed herself on the very sweet grasses as she roamed the forests and the greater area around the living place of Harriet and Philbert. She found an orchard that had fruit trees and a place with a large hole that had small plants growing in it. It seemed like a long time to her that they had been staying in this place when she stopped seeing Philbert.in the early parts of the light. He did not come out to push the stick for the water. One early time she saw Harriet help Philbert out to the wagon thing and leave her alone. The wagon thing moved along the road until she could not see it anymore and it was gone fore three light times. When the wagon came back, only Harriet got out and went inside the living place. She did not see Harriet for five light times and she had bedded down around the living place because the fence area could not hold her anymore. The big container where the water was became almost empty. When Harriet finally came out she came right up to Philamena and hugged her. The love was given and taken and from that time on Harriet made sure the water trough was full and she even brought some oats and straw and made an inside place in the old barn for Philamena. Harriet would milk her regularly and that is when Philamena started to explore further into the trees and then she found the cave and this wonderful place of food and even thought she heard the trees talking to her and each other.

As Joanna and Christine followed the cow they saw Greybark just ahead of her. The entire Haven had met Greybark and had such wonderful times with him. The girls would spend time setting in his boughs and talking with him while they ate the rather large cherries. There were many times that they would come into the Garden with cherry juice all over the front of their faces and clothes. Joanna turned to Christine and said “what a perfect place to meet this wonderful creature shall we introduce ourselves?” Christine shook her head yes and they both approached as Philamena came to a halt under Greybark.

Greybark had seen Philamena when she fist came into the Haven and knew her. He knew that Janx was going to come also but it would be a short while yet. So when she had first come and bedded down under his boughs he dropped cherry’s on her. She either ignored them or ate them and then he whispered to her and she fell into a sleep. He gave her dreams about Janx and when she woke and began to move through the trees all the brothers and sisters whispered to her. So as she walked up this time and Joanna and Christine came walking to meet with her Greybark dropped some extra large fruit on her head and waited for Joanna to say something. The Cherry juice ran down between Philamena’s eyes and she took a moment to look up at the boughs of the tree. She saw the tree looking at her and it started to speak at her. She looked back at the two humans and turned to run towards the dust cloud at the cave.

As she turned to run the tree spoke her name rather loudly. PHILAMENA WAIT! She stood very still and then looked at the two human women and then turned again to the tree. She thought of Harriet when she looked at the two human women again and waited for them to come closer to her. She could feel a love emanating from them and the tree. The tree spoke again and told her his name. She understood every word and feeling in her being and it made her turn her head to the women again. One came very close and touched her and the feeling of love entered her from the woman’s hand which she always felt when Harriet stroked her. The women told her name to Philamena and she understood it. I am Joanna and Greybark has called you Philamena. Christine walked over and put her hand on Philamena and said my name is Christine.

Philamena bumped her head against both human women and turned to look at the tree once more. Greybark looked at her with sad eyes and spoke again, “Philamena you must take these two with you to your place in the forest where Harriet lives. Her body must be placed into mother earth for she has left the container and joined with the Divine Creator. Philamena heard Greybark and understood that Harriet was in trouble. Greybark knew what she had thought and told her to take the two women and she need not worry any more for Harriet because she is now with Philbert and one with the Divine. Greybark touched her mind in a very loving gentle way and said more to her that Joanna and Christine could not hear. Philamena then started to walk towards the cave place and stopped a short distance and turned her head and looked at Joanna and Christine as if to say “are you coming?” All three began to walk together while Joanna and Christine both kept their hand on her. Both women sensed that Philamena was pining in her heart and kept a loving touch as they made their way to the swirling dust cloud.

Walking through the forest Joanna and Christine had been given a dream by Greybark of the old farm and his birth place. They understood Philamena’s life and her family that raised her. Both women were in tears by the time they reached the old orchard and approached the old house. Philamena led them right up to the door and stopped. Joanna walked up and opened the door. The old house was a three room cabin more or less. The living room and kitchen area was fairly big. She saw two doors at the back of the room and figured one to be a bedroom and one to be a bathroom. The first door she opened was the bathroom. So she moved to the second door and opened it. The bedroom was empty so Joanna turned and told Christine that Harriet was not in the house. Philamena was standing at the open front door and knew that Harriet was not in here and had the feeling that she was in the barn where her place was for bedding down. She turned and headed for that place. Both women came out of the house and saw Philamena heading for the barn and hurried after her.

Lying on a fresh bed of straw was Harriet. She looked quite peaceful but she was not moving. Philamena walked into the barn and made her way to the manger stall and went close to Harriet and tenderly nudged the human with her head. Harriet’s body moved slightly with the nudge but did not appear to be alive. The two women moved closer and Joanna bent down and checked for a pulse and any sign of breathing. She looked at Christine and at Philamena and shook her head to say that Harriet was not here any longer Philamena had backed up and hung her head. Christine could see tears, she thought, dropping from Philamena’s eyes. Philamena was also making low mooing sounds. She moved to the cow and put her arm around her neck and her face against Philamena’s face. They all stood in silence for 5 minutes. Greybark spoke to them by the mind speak and told them to plant Harriet’s body in his old birth place so a new life could grow there.

Joanna had walked to the old truck and after starting it she backed it into the barn and close to the stall. Christine began to line the bed with fresh straw while Philamena stood and watched. After there was enough straw in the pickup bed both women gently picked up Harriet’s body and placed it on the straw. Philamena had watched the entire process and then slowly started walking out of the barn and towards the rear of the old house. There was an old road bed that ran around the house and into the tree line after passing through a meadow. Joanna was driving and saw the road continue into the tree line so she followed Philamena as she walked slowly along the old road or path as it looked to be now. As they proceeded for about 500 feet or so they came to an opening in the forest and saw the old fruit orchard that they had passed earlier. Philamena walked up to a sunken area in the ground at the head of the orchard and stopped. Joanna drove the truck close and swung it around and then backed up to the sunken area.

Joanna and Christine climbed out of the truck and walked to the rear. They both looked down into the sunken area and saw the rich earth with some small plants thriving around the center of the hollow. Philamena nudged them to go into the hollow so they both walked into the depression and stood at the bottom. Standing at the bottom they both heard Greybark talk to them and tell them to plant Harriet’s container in the center of this place. Joanna and Christine climbed back up to the truck and with tears flowing from their eyes, they retrieved Harriet’s body and two shovels that they had retrieved from the barn and carried her into the hollow. After digging the grave they lowered Harriet’s body gently into the rich fresh soil. They picked up the shovels to cover her and Philamena made a sound that made each of them turn and look at her. Philamena began to back up and when the women turned to complete the burying they witnessed a miracle. The rich loamy soil had begun to fill in around Harriet’s body and had already covered her. Joanna and Christine both turned and scampered up the hill side to the top. When they reached it both turned and looked back at the grave site in the bottom of the hollow. They both had to back up and then actually get in the truck and move it away from the hollow. They pulled the truck about 20 feet away and then got out. Philamena was standing just to the side where they had stopped the truck and when they turned to the hollow it was filling in very rapidly. Both women and Philamena stood in amazement and watched the hollow fill in and then the next miracle happened in front of their eyes. A sapling was sprouting forth and as they watched the little tree grew to about 3 feet tall. Philamena walked over to it and stood very still and then turned and started walking back toward the old house.

Joanna and Christine climbed into the old truck and slowly followed Philamena back to the old farm house. When they pulled into the front of the house Philamena was walking toward the barn and went through the open doors. The women got out and went into the house and put a few things into a basket and took them out and placed them into the old truck bed. They then went around and closed up the windows and doors of the old house and then walked over to the barn. When they entered they both saw Philamena laying in the manger stall on the straw that Harriet had been lying on. She looked as if she was mourning for Harriet and the women began to tear up once again. They both walked to the manger and sat down next to Philamena and placed their hands on her to give comfort. Philamena laid her head down and closed her eyes. The women saw the tears flooding forth this time and they all cried for Harriet.

After the grieving period of a few hours Joanna stood and wandered around the old barn to find any thing that they could take that would be useful and help Philamena in the Haven. She meant to bring her back and give her a home there now that her family was with the Divine Creator. They would make a new family for her and take care of her. Greybark would tend to her in the orchards and if she wanted to roam through the cave then Alexander and she could wander with her. Both women gathered all they could and mind spoke with Philamena and they all made their way back to the Haven. Joanna had driven the old pickup and left it at the barn for further work sometime when Bill thought to mess with it. Philamena had been given a manger to stay inside the old barn that was at the Haven. And everybody in the haven loved her. She gave the sweetest creamiest milk and everybody got a chance to learn how to milk her. She wandered the orchards and talked with Greybark and the other trees. The girls took her to the dream healing hospital and Philamena knew where Harriet and Philbert were and even met with them. After coming back to the Haven she would wander out through the cave and visit the tree that was growing over Harriet’s resting place of her container. The tree had grown in stature and was already 20 feet high. It was the most beautiful peach tree that anyone could imagine. The fruit was so tasty that Alexander and Joanna would pick it and bring it back to the haven and make the most delicious cobblers. Alexander worked on the engine of the old truck and he and Joanna would take it out to the old farm and come back with a full load of fruits from that old orchard.

Joanna began to have dreams of a time when she raised another Brahman cow and they had grown up together. He was a perfect full bread specimen and she loved him. One night she remembered a name and tried to put it all together. It was well after the midnight hour so she got up and went out to see Greybark. As she approached Greybark he had seen her wandering through the orchards and waited for her to come and touch his being. She walked up and laid both hands on him and searched the name. Greybark whispered to her and said JANX. She opened her eyes wide in recognition and sat down and leaned against him. He dropped a cherry on her and she smiled as it bounced from her head into her hand. Greybark opened her mind to who she was in the past life and Marna was the name that she understood. She and Greybark communicated in the mind for a few hours and then Greybark said to her that she should go back to her place and have a restful sleep. “You will know Janx and he and Philamena will be together soon. Tomorrow you must make another place in the barn where Philamena lives so when Janx comes he will also have a place to live. He will know you in a short time and he will love you as he did when you were Marna. He comes from a dangerous place and the children are bringing him. I will talk to him and he will meet Philamena at first. Time is short and you must be rested. The two are going to go to my birth place and meet some special beings. Joanna stood up and touched Greybark as she bid him a good night and moved toward the quarters and the Garden. She seemed to float through the orchards and found herself in her bed dreaming about a Brahman bull named Janx.

OUCH! Janx heard as he found himself resting on his haunches. He looked up after shaking his head and saw a large wide tree trunk with eyes and a mouth. Bulls may have vivid imaginations and they may see and hear wondrous things but looking at the tree and seeing it looking at him made him stand and turn to run away. He was still shaken as he stood and turned and began to run when the Tree spoke his name. JANX! WAIT, YOU MUST STOP AND WE MUST TALK. Janx thought it might be a human behind the tree but as he turned he could see the tree smiling. Please lie down and eat some of this very tasty grass. I know you have had it before and this is where it came from. We must talk about Marna and Mary and Joanna. Janx grew solemn and lay down. The grass was so sweet and he had so many questions for this life force.

As Janx lay in the tall grass and munched on it he listened to the tree talk to him about its life and where it had been born and then talk about Janx and where he had been born and the child and then the woman that had raised him and how she had to go to another place. He mentioned her name and Janx felt pains once again about losing her. Greybark talked about the people that he had recently met and how they would be alright and that he would get to see them again when they finished their business to help in the healing of the world. Janx finally dozed off lying under the boughs of Greybark so the tree fell silent and waited for the meeting of Philamena and Janx. When Janx had ran through the hole and bumped Greybark it was not long after Joanna had shown up and talked to him. The wee hours of the morning were upon the haven and the cool air was wonderful. Around 4:30 am is when Janx had finally dozed off and Greybark stood in silence.

39 THE MEETING

Philamena had been sleeping in her manger and dreaming of a male Species of her kind. She dreamed of two baby’s one male and one female and how they would be born at the same time and it would be a bit hard for her and them and how two human children would help in the birth and raising. She dreamed of a place that they would go and meet other beings that would be very loving to the children and her and her mate. They would live here even when the children would enter the new world place and be part of a wonderful healing that was coming. She dreamed of Harriet and Philbert and how they were one in the Divine and how they were also part of a healing place she had visited. She had begun to be calm in her heart and new that all was going to be alright. Her dreams showed how when she would venture through the cave and go to the old farm she would always be comforted by Harriet and Philbert and she would visit the tree that grew over Harriet’s resting place. The tree began to talk to her and she would hear it talking about Mother Earth and Greybark. The tree would also talk with Mother Earth and appeared to pine for Greybark.

The dream had startled her awake so she stood and moved to the outside. It was still dark as she exited the barn and decided to go and visit with Greybark. As she approached the tree the early morning lighting was making it easier to see. When she walked through the orchard that was closest to Greybark she saw the Bull lying next to the tree. She stopped and watched in great surprise as she recognized her dream. The Bull shook his head as the tree began to drop cherries on him. He finally stood and looked at Greybark. Philamena wondered what he might do next but as she watched he bent his head and plucked a large clump of grass and began chewing. She moved forward slowly and began to approach the Bull and Greybark. When she was within a hundred feet the Bull stopped chewing and looked straight at her.

Janx had been awakened by things that kept falling and bouncing off his head. He finally stood up and looked at the tree. As he looked up two pieces of fruit hit him between his eyes so he lowered his head and began to pull a large clump of grass and chew on it. When he had a mouth full he raised his head and began to chew. His eyes had opened wide and looking out towards the orchards he stopped chewing with his mouth open and saw the beautiful creature standing and looking back at him. His mind raced with so many thoughts but he could not move and the grass started to fall from his mouth as he stood still. He stood for a few moments and then another large cherry bonked him right between his horns and the juice ran down between his eyes. He tried to close his mouth in a chewing motion but the grass fell from his mouth. The female he was looking at appeared to be smiling at him and then perhaps laughing as the humans would do. He bent his head with embarrassment and when he looked back up the female was walking towards him. He was not sure what to do at first but the tree dropped a bunch of cherries on him so he stood very still.

Philamena had watched the male stand up and she had seen Greybark bomb him with cherries. She did everything she could to keep from hopping up and down in laughter at him. When he had bent down and pulled a large mouthful of grass and then looked back up and spotted her his mouth stopped chewing and hung open. She had to lower her head and snicker to herself as he just stood and the grass began to fall from his mouth. This made her actually feel the laughter in her self as the humans would say and did. She did have to buck herself and then began to walk towards him. She saw all the cherries fall on him as she continued to move toward him and Greybark told her to come close and introduce herself to him.

Janx watched the beautiful female walk right up to him. His mouth was still open when she stopped within a few yards from him. He finally closed it and continued to look at her. She spoke into his mind and he almost fell over. Her voice was pure music to him. She said “my name is Philamena and I live here with the humans that love all of us. They take care of me and have given me a very good place to live. What is your name if I may ask?” Janx was at a loss for thought in the mind speaking. He just kept starring at this beautiful female until some more cherries fell on his head and it seemed that a branch reached down and swished across his shoulder hump. He moved when this happened and then spoke back to the female. I… I… I …Ma… ma… ma… My name is Janx. Philamena moved to him and bumped him and then turned and walked back towards the barn. He stood for a few minutes as she walked off until the tree once again swished him. He moved then and followed after her.

As time passed Mother Earth saw that Greybark was alone in the ability to move around. She had given him the knowledge of planting Harriet in his birth ground so she could raise a companion for him. She named the big peach tree “Treesa Peach” and waited for her to grow to a stature where she could lift her roots and walk through the forest. When the time came she opened Treesa Peaches spirit and gave her the ability to move. The Divine gave of himself and Treesa Peaches loosed herself from the earth and moved toward the Haven. She crossed through the swirling dust cloud and found her way to Greybark. Greybark had been still and thinking of the places he had wandered to when he first became able to lift his roots from the earth and move. He had talked with the trees in the forest and awakened them to the wonders of the world. He was so involved with all this that he did not see or hear the tree move to his place.

Treesa peaches moved through the orchards and talked with the brothers and sisters and had asked where she might find Greybark. They all told her that he stood at the east gate and she would know him when she got there. When she saw him standing at the front of the orchard that was close to the east gate she knew who he was and her limbs tingled. She dropped a few peaches as she moved closer and the seeds sunk into the ground. She actually reached a position that was quite close to him and dug her roots into the rich soil. The tingling of her roots was wonderful and Greybark stopped his meandering thoughts and looked straight at her. Mother Earth flowed the tingling feeling up through his roots and into his boughs. His limbs and leaves began to move as if a great wind was blowing through him. The next thing he knew was the beautiful peach tree brushing her boughs against his thick center being. He heard a musical tingle and then the voice. “I am Treesa and mother earth has sent me here to be a companion to you.

Philamena had shown Janx the barn and how it was quite a comfortable place. She showed him his new manger where he could stay and after awhile she had mind spoke to him about going and seeing the old orchard and farm where she had lived prior to coming to the Haven. They both walked toward the swirling dust cloud and passed through. Janx wondered about it and asked Philamena what it was. She told him that it was sort of secret entrance to the land beyond. Janx remembered, running through the hole and hitting the big tree and wondered if he would ever go back to the sanctuary and the corn fields. As they approached the old orchard Philamena walked to the place where Treesa had been standing and looked at the earth. It looked so rich and loamy and she could see the little stringy creatures moving up and through. She knew that Treesa had moved to the Haven to converse with Greybark. She then turned and headed for the old farm place to show Janx her old home.

Joanna had woken up earlier than usual and asked Christine if she would go with her to the old orchard this morning. She had seen some particularly delicious looking fruit and noticed a grape vine that ran along the eastern side. Christine said she would be delighted and would ask Gregory and Shauna if they would open the café’ and station and tend it today. Joanna smiled at that and told Christine to meet her at the old barn and they would take the old truck out so they could gather a large bunch of the fruits. One hour later Joanna had entered the barn and made sure the truck was full of fuel and everything was ready. She noticed that Philamena was not around and thought she might be out in the orchards feeding already. Christine walked in and the two women climbed into the truck and headed toward the North gate. Once through they exited the cave and took the old road that had been found leading to the old farm.

The forest was cool this morning and it felt so exhilarating. When they reached the old orchard Joanna stopped the truck and after getting out she began to walk through the trees and look at the big pieces of fruit. She wanted to examine the grape vine so she kept moving towards the east. Christine had taken a sack from the back of the truck and walked along picking some different kinds of fruit. Most of these trees grew in the orchards of the Haven but for some reason these fruits glowed with sparkling light and the taste made one have the same sparkling light around their face. She filled up the sack and took it to the truck and placed the fruit into a box in the back. She then walked toward where Joanna had gone to see if she could help. Joanna was picking Grapes and had filled a sack she had when Christine walked up and asked her if she could help. Joanna handed her the full sack of grapes and asked if she would give her the empty sack “Would you take this back to the truck and bring a couple of empty sacks? Look at what I found” Christine saw where she pointed and looked. There was a complete row of blueberry bushes and next to that was a complete row of Blackberry bushes. Joanna said “can you imagine what we can do with this?” Christine smiled and picked a blackberry and munched on it. Her mouth filled with pure joy and she turned and hurried back towards the truck.

Christine was on her way back with two more empty sacks to help Joanna pick the delicious blueberries and blackberries when she saw Philamena walking toward the orchard. She saw the large bull stumbling along behind her. She did not know what to think at first. It was strange at the glance to see the bull stumbling along. She almost became afraid for Joanna because such a large animal was moving her way and she could not see it yet. She hurried towards the vines and bushes to let her know that another Brahman cow had entered the old farm. She was just about 50 feet from Joanna when Philamena and the bull came around the tree break and could then be seen from the Grape vines. Christine did not want to raise her voice so she hurried toward Joanna. She was making noise as she almost ran through the orchard and its grasses. The two cows were slowly coming closer to Joanna and she looked up to see Christine moving quite fast towards her and waving her hand toward the cows. Joanna looked at her funny like and then turned and saw Philamena and the bull. She stopped and just starred. Philamena saw her standing in the berry patch and also stopped. She sensed something emanating from Joanna and Janx who was just behind her.

When Joanna looked up and saw Christine hurriedly moving towards her and waving for her to look to the south she stopped picking the berries and turned just in time to see Philamena walking toward her. She saw the other cow behind her and her heart stopped for a split second. When Philamena had stopped the bull stepped around her and also stopped suddenly while looking at Joanna. Memories flooded Joanna’s mind and they all were about Janx and how she had raised him from birth. The love she and he had for each other had been buried in her heart and then she died on a tractor accident. Her name had been Marna then. The tears welled up in her eyes and she began to slowly walk toward the bull. Philamena moved around Janx as he stood frozen looking at the human woman slowly moving toward him. She walked over to Christine who was also standing in a frozen stop. When she got close enough she bumped her and Christine unfroze and looked at her. The smile on her face told Philamena that she finally understood.

Janx’s mind flooded with the memories of Marna and all the good things they had done together while they grew up together. When she had been taken from him by the machine, He almost gave up life also. Then Marna’s parent sold him off to a far away place and he fell into a very lost place in his being. When he saw the woman and she began to walk toward him it was Marna and he could not move. Joanna saw Janx and as she moved toward him he finally started to move toward her also. They both reached a spot where she stood right in front of him and him in front of her. She began to weep loudly and he moved to her and put his head against hers. Weeping very loudly she reached her arms around his neck and put her face next to his. Janx bent his front legs and went down and Joanna went down with him. They both wound up at ground level and Joanna was talking softly to him and still weeping. After a while Philamena bumped Christine and they both moved to the two on the ground. Joanna looked up and said to Christine, “This is Janx my dear close friend in another life. He and I were almost born together in that life and now we are reunited in this life.” Christine reached down and helped Joanna to stand up and told her that Philamena had talked in the mind thoughts to her and told her all that happened and that Janx is now living in the Haven. Janx stood and Philamena bumped him and they began to walk to the old truck. The two women climbed in and slowly moved on the old road toward the cave. Philamena was bucking and jumping up and down and running around the truck as it moved. Janx began doing the same and the little happy parade entered the cave and moved toward the barn at the haven.

40 RANGERS, PONIES AND SNAKES

Daniel was watching out the side window on the copilot side of the chopper as they flew over the small city of Texline heading west toward the New Mexico border. The desert looked barren and hot. The one thing he noticed about the desert was the trees. Junipers and scrub oak dotted the landscape and he knew that they provided a variety of uses for the desert dwellers. He had only been in one desert area in his entire life and it was quite a miserable ordeal. The sands of Northern Africa could not be matched anywhere on the face of the earth as far as a desert was concerned so seeing the trees dotting the landscape soothed his thoughts and soul. Theresa had read his thoughts and feelings and moved closer to him to give comfort. She knew that they would probably only be here long enough to make the missiles disappear and then they would be heading to the Nevada site. The TMG’s had not been shared with the Texans yet and the reason was that the gizmo’s had not been completely perfected yet and people were going to have to be able to read minds and speak telepathically before these tools could be used properly.

Lieutenant Jeremiah Wilson had been contacted by Major Oscar Leroux and told what and who to expect. He had been contacted by the man flying the chopper and they had made arrangements on where to land the bird. He knew there would be four people and that they were experienced. His concern was whether or not they could handle the desert as it could be brutal. He had been in the Marines stationed in Iraq for 5 long deadly years and the desert had become his friend. He was half Apache Indian and had grown up in the deserts and mountains of southern Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico. The men in his company had all been in the military and had been through skirmishes as they were called so were quite experienced. There were only 7 of them along this border patrol but he had no qualms about them. Every so often two men at a time would rotate for R&R and the men that would replace them were trained as well. The ponies they rode were desert dwellers and could stay out here for ever he thought. They fed on the sage brush and other wild flowers and he and his men would feed them fresh oats and fruits. The ponies knew how to crawl on the desert floor to keep from being discovered and he took lessons from them with his men and they would crawl to the base and gather Intel when needed.

Today Jeremiah and Sergeant Jimmy Whitefeather were waiting in the canyon that was 5 miles to the southeast of the base. The canyon could not be seen from the ground and many Army patrols that illegally entered the Texas nation found themselves at the bottom of it as there maker took them from this earth.. Jeremiah had a short wave radio and was directing the bird into the canyon. He could not see or hear it but he knew it was coming and he was talking with Michael as it came in low and over the ridge of the canyon. Michael was telling him that they had just crossed over the edge and he could see them waiting on a wide level area at the bottom and a little to the south. Jeremiah radioed an okay and told him to bring the chopper to the widest spot and they would be hanging back enough to not get chopped up. Michael had to chuckle be did not let it sound over the mic. He brought the chopper down and landed softly. Jeremiah only saw the skid rails make an indent into the sand and thought to himself what a great piece of machinery.

As he and Jimmy rested on their ponies they saw a door or hatch open and the people jump down. The tall blond haired man was the first to hit the ground and then a healthy looking slim, blond haired woman jumped out. She looked quite fit. The first two people walked toward them and stopped in front of the ponies. They were dressed in desert camouflage outfits and could blend in very well. The next two people to jump out were also very fit in stature. Jeremiah looked at the woman and fell in love with her immediately. She was around 5’8” in height and had the most striking red hair. Her build was one of slim and strong. The man that jumped out next to her was someone he knew. He remembered the stint in North Africa. He climbed down off his pony and moved to Michael and Susanna and shook their hands and said “welcome to our little patch of desert, you are Michael I presume and you are Susanna?” Michael and Susanna both shook his hand and told him that he was right. Next he turned and started to walk to the red head and the man that he knew. As he approached he kept his eye on Theresa but walked up to Daniel and gave him a manly hug. “Daniel I could never think in my wildest dreams you would show up here.” Daniel looked at him and said “you look healthy and I would imagine in your element here Jeremiah.” Jeremiah turned and starred at Theresa with a big smile. “May I ask? What your name might be my lady?” Theresa smiled and read the man’s mind. She could feel his heart and spoke into his mind as she spoke out loud. “Yes my name is Theresa and my husband here has seen fit to bring me to the desert for some fun.” The mind speak was gentle and she let him know that she and Daniel were soul mates and spiritually connected.

Jeremiah became embarrassed but Theresa mind spoke more and told him to not be. She was flattered that he thought the way he did and he was a fine man. She consoled his thoughts and he understood even though he was still infatuated with her. He turned and told Daniel he was a fortunate man and then moved back to his pony and climbed up. “We have a camp just down the creek in the canyon and that is where we will go for now. If you folks have any thing to bring we can pack some on the ponies.” Michael smiled at that and said “if you will give us a few moments we will put some packs together and then we can go.” Jeremiah and Jimmy both smiled and waited for them to gather their packs.

When they all got into the chopper Michael had mind spoke and told them all to make sure the jet belts were ready and then he took his pack and another one with the additional jet belts that they intended to give to Jeremiah and his men. Jumping out the hatch to the sand all four of them stood with there day packs full of what was going to be needed. They all had the TMG’s hanging from their belts and the pockets on their fatigues were full of all sorts of little goodies. Jeremiah asked about the chopper and if they needed to do anything special. Michael walked back and shut the hatch and the chopper disappeared. Jimmy looked surprised and then jumped down and walked to the where he could see the skids in the sand. He reached out his hand and felt the surface of the chopper and then turned and asked about the skids and whether or not they should be camouflaged. Daniel grabbed Theresa’s hand and they began to gather some tumble weeds and some downed brush limbs and covered the skid indents. They also kicked some sand on the top and that effectively covered them.

They all hiked down the path and sometimes they crossed the creek as it swirled its way through the floor of the canyon. At one point they came across a burned out and destroyed Humvee. They all stopped and looked at it and Michael looked up the cliff side that rose straight up to the top of the canyon. At this point it looked to be at least 100 feet to the top. Jeremiah watched all of them look at the wreck and then the canyon walls. Michael turned and asked what happened. Jeremiah told the team that the guards at the base had given chase one night to two of his men. Isaac and Andrew had been watching the base when the flood lights lit up the night and they became exposed. They both took the ponies and made a run for it this way. That Humvee with 4 of their men came after them. Isaac and Andrew both knew of the canyon and just before the edge they both turned and lay their horses into the sage brush. The idiots in the Humvee thought that they might capture them and went over the edge before they knew what was happening. When they hit bottom the vehicle exploded and the men were lost. Since then they have not attempted to enter our nation again. They do rake our land on this side of their base with the 30 millimeter mini guns they have set up so it is quite risky to get to close. Lately we have been crossing the border to the south and scouting the perimeter of the base that way.

Continuing down the canyon they stopped at a cave in the side of the canyon wall and everyone heard a large rattling sound. Jeremiah told everyone to not get to close because this time of the day all the rattle snakes start to return to a very large den of vipers as he called it. We have never figured out how many snakes are in there and have never really had an urge to find out. We thought it quite strange that they would all gather into this cave in the late afternoon. In the morning when the sun finally shines into the canyon these creatures start coming out and moving up the canyon and there is a place not far from here that allows them to crawl to the top and do their hunting and feeding on top.

20 minutes later they came to the creek that had to be crossed again and on the other side was a large clump of brush and a few trees. Jeremiah stopped before crossing the creek and made a bird call sound. On the other side the brush seemed to move and an opening showed that would let a few people and a pony pass through. The Path from this point just disappeared on the other side of the creek but looked like it might continue along the canyon with a narrow passage way around the creek. They all crossed the creek and entered the narrow opening in the brush. Jimmy erased any signs of passage as he moved into the opening and then it closed. A narrow path proceeded for another few hundred yards until they came to a small grove of cottonwoods growing close to the canyon walls. The creek had split and a small tributary ran along the canyon and then moved off toward the main creek. The bank in the trees was a good 10 to 15 feet above the creek so they had to walk up a path that was hidden by grass and brush. At the top within the circle of thick trees was a camp site of sorts and back toward the cliff was another cavern that was covered by the trees and brush. Jeremiah led them all through the brush and into the open cavern. Here was the permanent camp site and hide out for the rangers. Into the back of the cavern was a corral where the ponies were boarded and had plenty of feed for them. At the moment there were only 4 men each with his pony. The other three were out on patrol. Jeremiah introduced the two men that were sitting around a small fire that appeared to have no smoke rising from it. “This is Sergeant Isaiah balsom.” Isaiah shook the team’s hands, and this is Corporal Riles Green. Isaac, Andrew and Johnny are out on patrol and will be back around dark to be relieved.” Everybody got acquainted and Jeremiah and Jimmy both began to walk their ponies to the corral. Jeremiah excused himself and told them to get comfortable.

The team all found a place to sit around the campfire and Daniel asked Isaiah how long they had been at this particular place. Isaiah told him that they had found it about 2 years earlier and it fit the home of their party perfect. “The patrols from the base flew their choppers over this area on a regular basis until the incident with the Humvee and then Jeremiah shot down one of the choppers just after it had left the base and entered the Texas Nation. After that the base crews quit coming into the desert on this side of the border. We planted land minds that we received from Houston all around our side of the border and only one team of foot soldiers experienced them. Since then all they do is rake the land with their 30 millimeter mini guns so we are very careful about where we watch from. We know that the missiles in those silos are armed and we dread the fact that they will use them one day. We had a plan to destroy the computer control systems but we haven’t found a way to get in yet. We do know that the systems are located in the center of the entire base and it looks like an old fashioned German pill box from the 2nd world war during the last century. The pill box is surrounded with four buildings that are two story block structures. There is one gate entrance and that is on the west side. They have built small gates for men and dogs on each side of the base. The size of the base is not all that big; I would say not more than two acres at most. They have the guns set up at all four corners but only shoot into our lands. I have seen 5 Humvee’s and two transports setting in the compound but never more than that. The Silos are built in a circle just around the perimeter of the fence we know that they have built tunnels that connect each silo to the other and most likely connect to the Pill box structure. We also know that they have 24 hour guards with dogs walking the perimeter of that fence. Those dogs they have do not look like real dogs but rather some kind of robot things. We know they can be very vicious and they do bark at us when they spot us. So we try to stay out of sight as best we can.”

Jeremiah and Jimmy walked back from the corral and sat on a log bench. The canyon was getting dark as the sun was low in the west at this time and had left the canyon a few hours earlier. Jeremiah asked what was being cooked for dinner. Isaiah set a large pan on the fire and began to cut up some potatoes with other kinds of wild vegetables that had been gathered from the canyon. Riles came walking up from downstream and had a bag with him. He picked up another large pan and placed it next to the pan already on the fire. He reached into the bag and pulled out some fish that were already cleaned and placed them into the pan. He put some chunks of butter in the pan with some wild sage and they all watched the fish cook along with the potatoes and vegetables. Isaiah had placed a large pot of water on the side and it began to perk. The smell of campfire coffee made everybody’s mouth water. Jeremiah spoke and said “I take it that Isaiah has sort of filled you in about the base?” As he asked that question/statement he reached over and grabbed a glove and picked up the coffee pot. “Anybody like some fresh coffee?”, Theresa who was not a big fan of coffee could not resist the smell and held out her cup as all of them had been given some utensils and dishes to eat and drink from.

After the cups were filled and everybody was watching the food cook and taking in the wonderful smells, Michael asked about the other men. Jeremiah said they would wander in about 2 hours from now and then Isaiah, Riles and He would start their patrol. Jimmy caught the break tonight so he got the night off unless something comes up. Jimmy added some additional flavorings to the fish and the potatoes and vegetables. The smell from the natural herbs made the teams eyes open in wonder and their mouths water even more. The Coffee was so tasty that Theresa asked for another cup.

Susanna spoke up and asked “Has any of you been inside that base before?” Jeremiah said that they hadn’t but they had dug a tunnel under the fence and finally had to stop because the end was blocked by a solid concrete wall. The best they could get was long range photos. Susanna continued with her questions. “Isaiah said that the dogs were robotic or some such, have you ever seen any real live dogs in there?” Jimmy spoke this time and said “we have only seen one and that was when some general visited at the time of the silos being loaded and he had a real dog with him. Those robotic things are so damn vicious we saw one attach one of the men inside and rip him up before they shut the thing down.” Susanna shook her head in acknowledgment of that and then looked at her team mates and said “remember what Samuel and Mary told us about those things. They cannot see us when we are cloaked like a real dog or animal can.” The team acknowledged that and Jeremiah looked at them with a surprise face. “How may I ask are you being cloaked?” Michael stood and walked over to the day packs they all had brought and picked up the additional pack he had brought. Once back at the Fire he sat down and began to explain about the jet belts.

The Rangers had watched Michael fetch his pack and come back to the fire. The evening had lost any daylight that was still happening above the rim of the canyon and they could see the stars when they all looked up. The fire had been made bigger but the smoke was still not rising from it. Michael sat down and told the rangers of the jet belts and what they were capable of doing. He was starting to explain the dispance cloak when they heard the ponies moving through the brush. Jeremiah raised his hand and asked for a break while the other men came into the camp and dismounted. The team sat and drank the coffee while the men walked their ponies to the corral and put them away for the night. Once they all gathered around the fire and got some food that was cooking and filled their coffee cups Jeremiah introduced them all and then motioned for Michael to continue with his explanation of the belts.

The first thing he did was rise into the air. He only went up about 10 feet above the fire and lowered himself back to the ground. The rangers were impressed and Jeremiah asked “how far can you climb and how far will these things take you?” Michael told them that the belts would allow them to climb about 200 feet but the optimum working usage is around 100 feet. The Rangers asked where they might be able to get their hands on such technology. Michael smiled and avoided that question for a space. He mind spoke to his team and told them to activate the dispance cloak and rise about 10 feet or so and then move to the corral and land. The three rangers that had arrived late were eating and listening intently when the team all disappeared. Jeremiah and the rest of them all jumped up and began looking around. Isaac asked in a confused voice “where did they go?” They all heard the ponies whinnying and turned to see the team become visible once again standing next to the corral. Jeremiah smiled and waited for the team to walk back to the fire. He was directing Isaiah and Riles to get their ponies ready for patrol and he would be their shortly.

Michael heard the orders and said “wait”! , to Jeremiah, I have something to give to you and you must spend a few minutes learning about it. Jeremiah raised his hand and held his men around the fire. “Whatever it may be we are out of time for the next patrol so you have to make this quick I am afraid. Michael walked to his extra pack and opened it. He proceeded to pull the extra belts out and hand them to the rangers. Once everyone had a belt he asked them to gather around so the belts could be explained and learned how to use properly without harm. Jeremiah pulled his men into a circle and the team began to show them how to use the belts. The first thing was the flight function and everybody lifted off and moved around and then landed again. The second function was the dispance cloak which everybody took to immediately. About 30 minutes later all the rangers were smiling and Jeremiah said that they had to do the patrol. It would have taken them at least 30 minutes to get the ponies ready and climb the canyon wall downstream where it was easier and the secret passage was located so the time learning the Jet belts had been well spent.

Michael asked if he and Susanna could join one ranger in the patrol for the night because they had to get familiar with the base and figure out the best way in and what they would do to disarm the missiles. Jeremiah took the watch and told Isaiah and Riles they could have the night off. Jeremiah had caught on real quick with the Jet belt and he and Michael and Susanna all flew to the top of the canyon and moved to the regular patrol route. He landed them on a small rise that was around a half mile from the Eastern side of the base. They had landed on the east side of the rise and had to climb to the top. Once at the top Jeremiah pulled his binoculars out and scoped the base. He handed them to Michael and told him that the two guard posts at each corner were always manned and they would randomly shoot those 30 millimeter mini guns out towards this area. As he spoke the guns went off and raked the desert floor within 500 feet of the base. The buzzing sound was almost defining even at the half mile mark. Susanna had pulled her own binoculars out and watched the scene unfold. “Seems to me they might be two dimensional in their destruction, we could fly overhead and they would never know it, am I right in my thinking?” She continued her thinking and asked if there had ever been an overhead attack at this base. Jeremiah said that as far as he knew there had never been any chopper attacks or even jets flying in with an attack posture.

Michael asked one question. “How often do they change guards on those mini guns?” Jeremiah told him that they had witnessed the guards changing in the late afternoon and around midnight and then around 0700 and that seemed to be the regular routine. Michael mind talked to Susanne and said we could take out the mini guns after the midnight change of post and that would give us all time to take the missiles out of commission. Susanna agreed with him. She said somehow we need to take them out permanently and still leave the husks in the silos so new ones cannot be inserted. I know we can send them to Vinnie but I believe there are other things that Vinnie would like. Jeremiah showed them the rest of the patrol areas and they flew into New Mexico and looked at the entrance to the base from that side. The patrol lasted through the night and the air was cool. Michael and Susanna both enjoyed the night and Jeremiah’s company. After the sun had come up and risen to a point in the sky that would shine into the canyon they flew back and dropped into the campsite. Isaac and Jimmy had the fire going and had cooked breakfast for everyone earlier. As they dropped into the camp Michael noticed the chickens running around and feeding on the chickweed that seemed to grow all around the canyon. These birds appeared to be wild and possibly lived in the canyon.

After landing Isaac came from the corral and asked if they would like some breakfast. He had been feeding the ponies as well. Jeremiah said he was famished and sat on a log while he poured himself some fresh hot coffee into a cup. Susanna grabbed a cup and held it out so he could pour her some of the brew. Isaac had the large pan on the fire and broke some fresh eggs into it. Another pan had fresh diced potatoes and all kinds of wild Herbs that had been added simmering in fresh butter. Susanna asked where they got the butter from and Jimmy told her that they had a cow in the corral that gave them fresh milk so they made the butter from the cream. Michael asked where all the others had gotten off to. Isaac told him they had all flown up the canyon trying the new toys out and that they were going to look at the chopper you all came in. Susanna asked about the eggs and the chickens. Jimmy told her that the chickens were wild and they gathered the eggs every morning where ever they found them. The breakfast was delicious and after eating Susanna found her self getting quite sleepy. She asked if there was a place to lie down so she could take a nap. Jeremiah told her yes. “At the back of the cavern there are shelves that are natural in the rocks and we have found them to be quite comfortable for sleeping. I can provide some blankets that you can lie upon. This time of the year they are not needed for warmth but they do help to cushion your posterior from the hardness of the rocks. The air back there stays the same all year so even in the winter it is not to bad.” Susanna grabbed Michaels hand and they both moved toward the back of the cavern. Passing the corral and continuing they moved into some darkness and then came to a larger area that showed all the rock shelves. At one place on a table of some kind they found blankets that were quite thick and grabbed a couple as they found a shelf that felt right and both lay down to rest.

After breakfast Theresa and Daniel took Isaiah, Riles, Johnny Eagle and Andrew to the Chopper. The rangers were itching to try the jet belts out further and they also wanted to see the chopper. Before they left Johnny took Theresa and Daniel to meet the ponies because Theresa could feel their thoughts about not being taken out on the second patrol. These ponies loved their riders and would fight to the death for them. The connection these men had with the ponies was a very tight bond and she knew that they had fought and saved each other many times. When they reached the corral the ponies were all standing at the gate and fence area waiting anxiously for their morning ride. Theresa heard in her mind the conversation of the ponies and their worries of why they had not been taken on the night patrol. When Theresa approached she saw the first pony standing at the gate looking straight at her. She heard his name “Cloud dancer” and moved close to him. She spoke in the mind to him and told him not to worry that the men were trying something new and he and the others would never be forgotten to fight along side. When she walked up she put her hand out and touched his face. He immediately calmed down and felt the love coming from this human. The other ponies gathered around and felt the love of the human as they always felt the love from their human connections with the rangers. Theresa learned all their names and consoled them. She let them know that they would still be running the patrols but the rangers had some new weapons that they could use to protect them. The Ponies finally settled down and knew that their riders were not abandoning them. After that the humans had all risen up and moved toward the upper canyon.

Riles was the only one that had a mishap with the belt. He had tried something different and wound up in the creek. Everyone had a good laugh including Riles and after that he learned how to control the belt much better. The dispance cloak was easier to master and they all used it to a great control. When they all reached the area that the chopper had landed Daniel had used the password he had coded and opened the hatch. They all entered the chopper in turns and Daniel and Theresa both explained the workings. When all the Rangers had seen enough and they exited the chopper, Theresa stayed behind and said she needed to call their home and give a Sitrep. Daniel sat with the men and they all talked about the base and how they might disarm the missiles so the military could not rearm them and the base would just be an ordinary ARMY facility on the boarder of Texas. Daniel said he did not have the idea yet but they would all talk over dinner this evening and Michael may have a solution. They were all sitting around when Theresa opened the hatch and pulled some baskets over to the opening. She asked for help to remove them and when the men walked over they saw the baskets full of fresh fruit and vegetable. Their eyes all grew big and Theresa levitated herself to the ground. Daniel smiled and knew where she had gone and how she got the baskets. Once the hatch was closed again they all activated the belts and each had a basket of goodies as they flew back to the camp.

Arriving back to the camp they saw Jeremiah, and Daniel asked where Michael and Susanna were. Jeremiah told them that they were sleeping at the back area of the cavern. He looked at his men and told them that Andrew got the day off and Jimmy was already saddling the ponies. “The poor Stallions and the two mares were worried that we were not going to use them anymore after last night. Jimmy and I both found them being anxious but I think Theresa gave them some comforting words this morning before you all used the technology to fly up the canyon. They can see you by the way when your cloaked so I have been told by Michael and when they saw you all fly away it made them quite nervous. So it will be your jobs now to make them still feel that you love them and count on them to be your partners. Isaiah, Jimmy and Johnny will be going out this time for the patrol and when you get back then Andrew is going to take Daniel and Theresa and I think that Isaac should also go. We are now searching and recording their movements on the base so we will come up with the most operative time to invade. Now that we have the Jet belts with the dispance cloaks I think we can get in and out without being seen.” Isaiah and Johnny stood and walked over toward the corral. Jeremiah said he was going to get some sleep and Andrew stood and asked Daniel and Theresa to follow him as he was going to get some rest before their patrol started. Isaac had moved to the corral and would get rest after he consoled his pony. It was clear that these men loved the ponies and would not let some technology get in the way of that bond.

Honovi stepped through the hole to a nearby bank next to the creek that ran through the canyon. He had talked with Hava and Luun about the ponies. Hava and Luun told him that the ponies needed to learn how to mind talk with humans even though they all had the connection of love with the men that rode them. Cloud Dancer was the leader of the group and he would be the one to talk with first. Sand runner was next and they had gone down the line of the 7 pony’s names, there was Sage who was one of the Mares and then Cactus flower the second mare. The three remaining Stallions were spotted flyer, Saguaro and Road Runner. All of these ponies were born wild to the deserts and canyons of the southwest and would run wild always. They did love their riders and knew the thoughts even if they could not read the human language. The feelings were always the communication. Honovi bounded up the canyon and stopped just before the secret opening to the camp. He knew his presents would be welcomed by the team of his brothers and sisters from the Haven but Hava had told him to wait until they would all be sitting around the camp fire before he was to enter here. It would be a few hours before this happened so he found a very secluded shady spot under some brush and lay down to wait.

Hava stood before him when the canyon was beginning to have darkness spreading from the west canyon walls. The sun had found its way into the mid afternoon. She touched Honovi who had been asleep and he opened his eyes to see her bent down and kneeling in front of him. He moved his head up and she said “It is time dear beloved.” He stood and she twisted to the side and disappeared. He moved to the secret entrance in the brush and slipped into the narrow path. He was silent in his movement and when he entered the campsite he noticed all the humans sitting around except for the ones that were out on patrol. He knew they would be coming soon. His goal was to talk with the Pony’s first and then introduce him self to the rangers. He moved quietly to the back of the corral where the shed barn was so no one could see him until the other three ponies were in the corral. Honovi found another clump of brush and entered the shady place and lay down once more awaiting his moment.

The sun shine had left the bottom of the canyon and the shade had crept up to the top of the cliff on the east side when Honovi heard the riders and their ponies coming up the canyon. He knew it would be shortly that they entered the secret passage and came into the Camp. He waited until the three men came in and dismounted and brought the ponies to the corral and brushed them down. They fed them some oats and all the ponies drank a fill of cool water from the trough that had been filled from the creek water earlier. Cloud Dancer had been moving around the corral in an anxious mode and stopped when Spotted Flyer, Cactus Flower and Road Runner where brought in and brushed down and then fed. He was still anxious but held his movements until the humans finally left the corral. The pony’s watched the men leave and then turned to Cloud Dancer. The Pony talk was excited and Cloud Dancer led them all to the back of corral close to the side of the cavern and barn shelter. Cloud Dancer and all the ponies stood still as Honovi showed himself at the edge of the barn where the humans could not see him. He knew that if anyone looked over at the corral they would see the ponies all standing close together and at the back but that might not be anything unusual at this point. He had already talked with Theresa and told her what he was attempting to do so she would be able to distract the rangers until the ponies minds could be opened to communicate with the humans in mind talk. Theresa and Susanna were going to open the ranger’s minds also so when the time came the ponies and the rangers would communicate with each other in the mind talk.

With the help of Hava and Luun, Honovi stood in front of the ponies and spoke the clear message of love and knowing for all of them. Hava and Luun had moved through the universe and opened the doors in these beings minds that had been locked. As the doors opened Cloud Dancer and all the ponies understood the connections of all life and Honovi spoke about the other animals that were moving across the world to unite with life. Once all of this was accomplished Honovi asked them to gather at the gate and he would open it so they all could move to the campfire where all the humans were sitting
