The feminine mind is the earth waiting for the seed. ~Carl Jung, Letters Vol. 1, 22March 1935.

The feminine mind is the earth waiting for the seed. That is the meaning of the transference. Always the more unconscious person gets spiritually fecundated by the more conscious one. Hence the guru in India. This is an age old truth.

As soon as certain patients come to me for treatment, the type of dream changes. In the deepest sense we all dream not out of ourselves but out of what lies between us and the other. ~Carl Jung to James Kirsch, Letters Vol. 1, Page 170.

The jungle is in us, in our unconscious, and we have succeeded in projecting it into the outside world, where now the saurians are lustily playing about again in the form of cars, airplanes, and rockets. ~Carl Jung, Letters Vol. II, Pages 608-609

Whenever Carl Jung's name comes up I am instantly sparked to be reminded of the power of transcendence, his writings on it were and remain groundbreaking sign posts to sovereignty. Well worth the read: http://www.sunypress.edu/pdf/60876.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Alan met Carl in 1958 and has some insights and perceptions about him and his work to be enjoyed.
In Jung's estimation ego is not a dirty word - but a/the path to transcendence... which in the light of his point of view makes perfect sense.

The process of individuation, of becoming whole, includes by definition the totality of the phenomenon Man and the totality of the riddle of Nature, whose division into physical and spiritual aspects is merely an act of discrimination in the interests of human cognition. ~Carl Jung, Letters Vol. II, Pages 617-620
