$ex, Drug$, and Nursery Rhymes!

Post by Naga_Fireball »

Well, the other day, some of us here on EE were discussing our personal definition of and feelings regarding empathy in general and the various interpretations of the E word. Lol

Tonight I had one of those epiphanies where some history explained away some long lived mystery that had danced erstwhile on the edge of my thoughts. Bla.

;)

OK so the dirty story. I've always laughed at the song She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain. It sounded vaguely sexual to me I guess.

Well tonight the Still Small Wiseass Voice pipes in with, how about looking up the origin of the song along with the advent of cocaine, girly,

As it turns out, our song is a tongue in cheek Africanized version of a hymn, the former dating to about 1880-1900. First printed in 1927, well after the Official advent of cocaine in 1898.

Any thoughts on numerous white horses, puppies, long routes thru the night , and five mile lines?

Or is it all a coincidence.
Maybe Obama knows. ;) lol
Brotherhood falls asunder at the touch of fire!
He finds his fellow guilty of a skin
Not coloured like his own, and having power
To enforce the wrong, for such a worthy cause
Dooms and devotes him as his lawful prey.
