The Force, The Dark, the Unknown... our shadows brought to light

The Force, The Dark, the Unknown... our shadows brought to light

Post by Christine »

Hiya,

Not going to go deep or heavy right now. We've been watching the unfolding on the forum and it was deemed wise to dedicate a place for these explorations. There is no light without the dark, the forbidden territory... lets enter it.

The only requirement is this, to be used to polish our own mirror, a place to share deeply. Drinking deeply from the waters of life.... sort of place.

Thank you one who suggested this ... we do listen.

Today I present to you, the Code of the Sith. Take an honest look.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

This in contrast to the Code of the Jedi.

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.

One should recognize the distinction between the Sith and the Dark Jedi of the series. A Dark Jedi is a trained Jedi who 'surrenders' to the Dark side. On the other hand, the Sith practice control of the force - including the dark side - and the term 'surrender' is a divergent concept from their discipline.

Anakin Skywalker for example - in Episode 3 - is NOT a Sith (oh he was inducted, but never trained), he is a Dark Jedi.

Kooky, I just stumbled across this, a combined Jedi/Sith code,....

There is no emotion, there is peace.
Through peace, i gain strength.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
Through serenity, I gain power.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
Through harmony, I gain victory
There is no death, through victory.
There is only the force.

... not that I agree with it, but its still not bad (better than the Jedi code alone!). Still, there's yet another 'entry' that I think most could agree on,....

There is Peace
Maintained by Emotion
There is Power
For it is allied with Knowledge
There is Chaos
Tempered by Harmony
There is Serenity
Yet there is also Passion
Through this code my chains are broken
And the Force guides my way.

Even though I kind of already know I'm out of my depth even reading this thread, never mind posting in it, My very first instinctive flash of light tells me to remember that even the most "evile" b***ards in the world, have a belief system that paints them as good.
