It is an honour to converse on such a personal and honest level Spiritwood>>thank you for the opporturnity to do so by your courage to share indepth, clear and honest self revelations.
Your experiences are worthy of all the investigative ways to appease curiosty, wonderment and mystery. If I had them (or allowed them... LOL) I would be doing the same. I am and have a reputation of being unusual, different and way too up front all my life and thus been called Nuts more often than I can remember. This may be my resistance to gain anymore awareness, than the ever so convoluted presence of the Matrix we live in...I have seen beyond the facade all my life and this is daunting enough to carry while hanging with those who can't see the forest for the trees.
However in saying the above I do have what I think is a valid rational for wanting others to become as serious about knowing self on a very deep emotional level as they do about other mysterious things in our world. We unique/individual humans are the greatest mystery of all!! I believe if we all did this versus buying into all the delicious distractions available, the world would change automatically.
Self Love is a concept that many think means having a warm bubble bath, a night out on the town, massage, favorite food or drink or drug, etc........but it goes much deeper than this and is another shamanic experience that happens when one is stripped of ALL identity with ALL the roles we play in life......when one is left with only awareness and staring one's Spirit in the face, the choice to exit or love is forefront and unabating. This is when the journey of Self-Love began in earnest for me and whoa----- it is a continuous journey............
We put so much store into what I call mind candy (I'm just as guilty, as it is a fantastic and addictive distraction) versus what makes us tick...like what do I feel at any given moment as feelings are just as sporatic, flashing, mysterious, reactive, etc. as thoughts and they are really a feedback loop for investigation of the self, IMHO.
How can we truly Love others if we struggle to Love Self or pretend to Love Self. We can Love many of the roles/actions we play in life but that is not the same as Self-Love. Even though I no longer look for answers outside myself I do stay connected and care deeply about Mother Earth and all her creatures, thus I Love the world at large, Love my fellow Being and so want Peace on Earth.............as a result I try to stay relevant and interconnected as possible through the net more than anything as hermitville has a real place in my life for the most part.
I'm babbling so I will stop LOL and make my point. I believe if humanity individually worked as hard to point the finger inward for answers (not the brain) as they do outward we would be on the road to Paradise on Earth and Love would be the imminent energy through which all curiosty would be satiated. I don't mean sappy Love either as real Love can some times be quite harsh in it's purpose.
Thank you again for your reflections and inward sharing Spiritwood.........it is rejuvenating and so refreshing..... leaves me filled with tears, tears of joy refueling my spirit.......... AWESOME HEART TO HEART
