I laugh when i think
About how people believe
They see the grand design in themselves
We are part of it all
When we do our best
To honor the truth around us
Like a leaf falling
Turning end over end
Tumbling from its parent tree
How can one leaf
Be greater than the tree
No matter how beautiful the dance
Humility is being
Big enough to know
That we are so small, truly
Motes, sparks, feathers flying
Briefly born and briefly dying
A breath between two pages, and a rustle
But the freedom that comes
With knowing how humble we are
It's hard to put a size on Freedom
Because things that are small
Have all that space and time to enjoy
While those who plot and plan
Never seem to have enough time
Freedom isn't about power
It is about becoming small enough
To see around the ego and accept
We belong

Drifting
Brotherhood falls asunder at the touch of fire!
He finds his fellow guilty of a skin
Not coloured like his own, and having power
To enforce the wrong, for such a worthy cause
Dooms and devotes him as his lawful prey.
~William Cowper

Lady Fireball, I had to log in just to thank you for your poem. You are one of the most creative people I know, practicality is hardly a good measure. Fire 'em off dear friend, love you.
The journey, the challenge is to step into the
projection room and stop being lost in the script.

I see your love shining out from my furry friends faces, when I look into their eyes. I see you in the flower’s smile, the rainbow, and the wind in the trees....
Re: Drifting
I too think you are very creative and loved your poem and especially these lines
"Motes, sparks, feathers flying
Briefly born and briefly dying
A breath between two pages, and a rustle
Freedom isn't about power
It is about becoming small enough
To see around the ego and accept
We belong"
Your poem gave me goosebumps of a lovely kind! Love, Maggie
