The General’s right shoulder and arm was in excruciating pain and his eye was bleeding profusely. He was having a hard time seeing and he could not stand up. It appeared he was stuck on something. Sergeant Loomis had dropped his worthless rifle and pistol and rather that try to rush the men with the swords he turned and ran toward the front of the house. His thought was to escape back to the truck and get back to where the sub was. He made it almost to the main road when a man dropped from the sky right in front of him and stopped him with the point of a sword. Loomis felt the bite of the end of that sword into his stomach but he had stopped before it could go to deep. He jerked himself backward and reached for his knife. The man in front of him put the sword to his neck and said “tsk tsk, I don’t think you want to do that just yet.” Loomis took his hand from the knife and raised them above his head. The man told him to turn and start walking. He was marched back up to the garage.

When the four men came at them with their knives, Otto, Devlin, Jubel and Johansson pulled their swords up and defended themselves. Johansson was the closest to the barn opening so the lieutenant went for him first. The long sword came up in a big swoop and lieutenant Kickass lost his right hand at the wrist. The hand and knife fell about 10 feet away from the man as he screamed with pain. He dropped to his knees and doubled over while holding his stub of an arm. The blood was gushing until the man that had cut his hand off grabbed it and wrapped something around it and then applied a tourniquet around his elbow. The other three men that rushed with their knives lost them as the men with the swords virtually knocked the knives from their grasp. They all stood in a daze as the men with the swords stood at the ready.

During the major ruckus Leif had flown up and went to stop the man that ran away. Nathan was going to make sure the man on the porch was incapacitated but before he could move it seemed, a person came rushing by him and leaped to the porch and went to their knees in front of the man. Nathan finally recognized Marni as she bent over the man. Her red hair was in wild disarray and she was breathing very hard. She had a knife to the man’s throat. He did not know where she might have gotten it but it was clear that she meant to use it on this man. He started to go to her but Galia appeared and took his hand. He turned and hugged her. “Let mother deal with this. Her and father must heal through this man.”

General Clay Trappe was fading in and out; when he heard the voice of the woman he had hated and wanted to kill for such along time. “You remember me don’t you lieutenant clap Trappe, oh yes I see that you are a General now but that means nothing doesn’t it. You always wanted to be an emperor didn’t you but I and Jubel stopped your climb to the top didn’t we? I want to show you something you little weasel.” She slowly pulled down the turtle neck sweater she had on and exposed the gills on her neck. “You see, clay pigeon boy, we did become what you so dearly wanted for yourself and those others. Surely you remember Hank and Ginger and dear sweet Caitlin and her husband Jacob? She pushed the knife a little tighter into his throat and the blood ran down his neck. Marni had her face so close to his that he could see the veins in her cheeks. Her next words made him wet his pants. “I am going to cut your rotten little head off slowly and watch you try to scream. I am going to put your head on a stick and display it so your horrible evil sycophants will know what happens to them when they get caught doing what they do.” All the while she was talking to him in a quiet voice she was pushing the knife deeper into his throat. Jubel finally put his hand on hers and slowly lifted it with the knife away from the monsters throat. He spoke in the old Scottish Gaelic language as he helped her up from the deck and wrapped his arms around her. She finally broke down and cried hysterically into his chest. She dropped the knife and they both walked off the porch.

Hanna and Marni crawled through the tunnel and came out about 200 yards from the barn. Marni was acting like she was possessed. She did not speak the whole time and as soon as they were out she took off almost running toward the house. When Hanna finally caught up to her she was standing by the shed. Hanna saw the man standing by the corner of the garage, she could physically feel the tension in the air and when she hear the voice ask the question from the house, she tensed up herself. Marni bent over and picked up a rock then all hell broke loose. Hanna saw the rock sail into the man’s eye and saw him go down then the skirmish began. She waited and watched and then saw Marni halfway to the house. The men from the barn attacked the family so she moved into the barn and hurried to uncover the hatch. She got the lock undone and opened the hatch and went down and got the inner door open. Everybody was on edge but they wanted to come up so Megan was the first and everyone else followed. The commotion did not last long and finally Jubel went to the porch and picked Marni up. She broke down and cried in Jubel’s arms while everybody made sure the bad boys were secure. Galia had appeared next to Nathan and they held each other as Megan flung herself into Devlin’s arms.

Jeanette had went out and in and found Lonny and Timmy resting in the ocean with two dolphins. They told her that the submarine was resting on the bottom directly below them waiting for the bad men to return. And Fau’tra was floating directly above the entrance to some secret underground, undersea base. Jeanette told them she would be taking care of the submarine and the base and that the two boys should come back to the farm with her for now. The boys were reluctant at first but the dolphins spoke to them and they agreed to go home for now. Jeanette touched them and went out and in to the barn. They all walked out and the two boys were picked up by Debra and Otto and hugged. Jeanette talked with Galia and Nathan about the submarine and the under sea base and it was decided the end it all. The General had been pulled from the limb he had landed on when the rock hit him in the eye and sat down with the other riff raff. Jeanette and Galia read the dark minds of the men and knew that they all were very nasty assassins and that the few that were stationed on that underwater base were all the same. It was nothing more than a den of vipers that would go out and destroy people and places around the world. Jeanette found out about the only other place like this one and intended to give that info to Hava and Luun.

Jeanette, Marni and Galia stood close to the 6 assassins and proceeded to show them what they were so intent on destroying in the world. Marni made sure they all knew how she and Jubel could live in the oceans and cross to other worlds. Jeanette and Galia showed them some of the wonders that all human being possessed in the past and could possess now. The General could only grunt, his voice had been damaged with the knife. However, his vileness was still intact and he tried to spit at them. The other men had nothing to say but the entire family could read their thoughts and all that emanated from them was hate. Each one of them wanted nothing more than to kill these people that took their power away. Jeanette and Galia finally touched each man and they disappeared from the farm.

Inside the submarine, resting on the bottom, Captain Junkard was not a happy camper. There was still a few hours left for the team to report back in and then get out into the water to be retrieved. It never failed; these assassins always liked to cut things close. It was like a standard procedure with them. It was forever an irritation to him and one of these days he was going to leave before they got back and say that he had an emergency. Hopefully they would be captured or something and he would not have to deal with them anymore. What a pipe dream he thought. There would always be a bunch of these freaks to go and kill or cause havoc. He was no different. He would have to take the submarine and sink ships that had nothing more than civilian types. He never could understand the reasons for doing such things but then he just followed orders and he had no desire to go against that grain because he would wind up being shot from a torpedo tube. He went to get some coffee and on his way he heard a commotion in the assassin quarters. As he approached the Generals state room he saw a throng of ships sailors. “What the hell is going on here don’t you swabs have duty stations to man, so get to it. The men broke up and cleared the passageway. He stopped at the stateroom and almost choked. “What the”, the General was lying on his rack with a thick gauze pad around his throat. “How the hell did you get aboard? We haven’t surfaced yet.” The General just looked at him and could not speak; he motioned for the captain to come close. While picking up the paper pad and pencil he had lying beside him. He jotted something and showed it to the captain. GET THIS BOAT BACK TO BASE AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE, THE REST OF THE TEAM IS ABOARD; WE HAVE NO TIME TO WASTE.

Jeanette took Rene’ and little Jubel and went out and in. They hovered over the two dolphins that had been guarding the location of the sub and Jubel told them to hurry back to the family. Rather than wait for them to fly through the water, Rene’ and Jubel picked them up and they all flew through the air to the family. Fau’tra saw them fly down and land in the water. She talked with them and Jeanette told them to leave this place and head out to sea further. Something big was going to happen and the ocean would sink and then rise. A big wave would be created and wash the shore line for miles. The underwater place would cease to exist soon. Fau’tra chirped and whistled and the pod took off heading further out to sea. It was a sight to see them all flying and skimming across the water.

Captain Junkard went directly to the con and gave the order to get underway. How all six men got aboard without the sub surfacing was a mystery to him but to see the condition of the General and that pest of a lieutenant gave him hope after all. He sipped his coffee as they radioed their position and waited for the entrance to open up. This was a peculiar mission indeed but he was not going to question it as the entrance opened up and the sub moved forward. The channel was exactly 1 mile long before the sub could surface and dock its self. There were three sub docks or bays in the underground base. One of the Subs was under re-construction and would not be ready for action for another 8 months. He pulled the sub into its bay and waited for the dock crew to secure it. The General had gotten himself up and was standing, with his men at the hatchway impatiently waiting. Junkard finally gave the order for all clear and one of the men unsealed the hatch. The General climbed the ladder and out the hatch as quick as his condition would allow. The other assassins virtually ran up the ladder after him. These men were very antsy on the journey back to the base and very tight lipped. Junkard and his crew could feel the animosity and the anxiety of these men. He wanted to take the sub back out almost immediately simply because he could feel something wrong. Little did he know that the timers on the four missiles aboard his boat were ticking down to launch and detonation? He had a full compliment of torpedoes on board as well and they could be very devastating when they made contact. He had sunk many ships with just one well placed hit. He retired to his cabin to complete his log before going ashore while his crew secured all systems.

Colonel Hector Gripe had been told that Number 52 was returning and all the assassins where aboard. He was told about the General’s condition and how the lieutenant was missing a hand. He expected the General to contact him but there was no communication which he thought was very peculiar. He decided that the General had very top secret information and would wait until he was secure on the base before making a report. The real strange part of this mission was the time frame, and the fact the team had just shown up back on the sub without Junkard even surfacing to pick them up. He kept running that over and over in his mind. The injuries he had been told about did not make any sense either. The General sustained a cut across his throat and it damaged his vocal cords. He also sustained a deep puncture wound in his right shoulder from the back and on top of all that he was blind in his left eye due to a blunt force impact by some object. The lieutenant was missing his entire right hand that appears to have been severed at the wrist. The other men only had minor cuts and bruises except for Sergeant Ringer who also was missing some appendages from his left hand. It seems that whatever or whoever these men encountered on this highly classified mission was remaining top secret because none of them were talking.

Hector Gripe was in line to become the commanding officer of the entire Agency. The only thing in his way at this point was General Clay Trappe and the man was not looked on with favor from the Emperor, who was the only one left in full charge of the assassins that had slowly but surely taken over the only two underground/underwater bases left. Was a time when the Chinese and the Russians had their own assassin agencies, but they had been destroyed over the past 10 years? Emperor Vinnie, as he was called, had shrunk the Agency and there were not more than a few hundred personnel left if that. Hector did not know the exact number between the two bases left. He did not know how many were on this base as a matter of fact and that aggravated him. He would rectify that as soon as the imbecile was gone which he hoped would be soon. He did know that an admiral Swartzcrout was in charge of the North Atlantic base but that was all. This recent incident could spell the end of Trappe. He did not bring any prisoners back and it was unknown at this moment weather he succeeded in destroying the scientists that he went after if they even still existed. The hidden cameras did give indication that they may have returned from somewhere but even that was iffy at best. Hell, there were a variety of ways those things could be activated and the idiot General knew it. He got up and poured himself another stiff drink, waiting for the General to show up. He liked the chair he was sitting in, it felt very comfortable to him. Soon it would be all his and he had plans to take control all the way to the top. He had his special force of mind controlled assassins and the number 53 sub would be his ticket to domination. The retrofit was so amazing, he had not even told the General about all the special features and he never would.

Clay was still spitting up blood from what that woman did to him. He was going to get some rest and get his neck healed through the healing computer and go back after those bumpkins. He would nuke the damn place if it came to it. In fact that was what he intended to do but first he wanted to take that woman and her husband and make each of them watch as he carved them up slowly. He opened the door to his main office and immediately saw the Pip squeak Colonel sitting in his chair. His first though was to grab his other .45 and end this idiot’s miserable life but he needed him for the sub runs. Captain Junkard was competent but there was something very untrustworthy about him and this man in front of him was much more experienced. He could not speak so he walked over and motioned the man out of his chair. He watched the Colonel slowly get up and move to the opposite side of his desk. He sat down and flipped his computer on. He opened the top secret file under the password “waterdog” and began to type his report of the mission. The Colonel was still standing and becoming heated. He had already discussed the next move with the Emperor which was to let the General provide the secrets he may have discovered and then to terminate him. Hector stood and waited patiently yet becoming quite agitated as he watched the General type on the computer. He could not see it but he knew the man was reporting what he had found and what had happened. He had already hacked the file about the experiments with dolphins and drew his own conclusions that the entire project had been bumbled by this man because there was no conclusive formulas or any evidence that there might be any real results to make the soldiers able to breath water.

His patience was just at the verge of exploding when he heard the explosions and the shaking of the room. He quickly glanced out the large clear aluminum windows behind the General that were built into the side of a cliff. He could see the mud debris rising from the floor of the ocean and turned and ran for the door. All the doors in the base were dogged like hatches on a ship so as soon as he got through he began to dog the door. He heard the General pounding on the other side as he dogged the last latch. He turned to run toward the sub bay and saw his end. The entire ceiling was collapsing at the end of the great open space. All he could do was stand and watch rock and water rushing at him.

Captain Junkard was just finishing up his report on the ships log when the alarms went off. He jerked back suddenly and stood up immediately. He knew those alarms and it scared him almost into a heart attack. The damn hatches for the missile tubes were opening. He ran down the passageway toward the control room. As he entered the control room he stopped abruptly and looked at Ensign Roper. “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?” Roper turned and looked at him with a blank stare. “I don’t know sir. These controls do not work. I can’t shut them down.” Junkard flung him aside and began to flip the switches but nothing worked and then the sub rocked with the missiles being launched. He turned and said “How many crewmen do we have aboard? We need to get underway.” He turned and ran out of the room and started to move toward the con tower. The explosions above came within seconds of the launch. Junkard knew he was going to die but he tried to reach the controls to move the sub anyway.

On board Sub number 51, Lieutenant Durstowich had tried to stop the launch of the 4 missiles on that sub and tried to do the same thing that Junkard was doing on Sub number 52. The eight guided missiles impacted with the carved out rock ceiling of the cavern within a few short seconds after launching from the subs. The explosions caused fire balls to roll downward and sideways which destroyed anything in there path. The ceiling of the underwater base caved in with a domino effect and the 200 feet of ocean above collapsed downward in a slow motion, all incapacitating action. The surface of the ocean sank in a whirlpool action and quickly filled back in. The wave that was created rolled toward the land at a few hundred miles per hour. 15 miles away the water drained away from the land and a few short minutes later the title wave swallowed the beach and bush and broke over the top of the bluffs as it rolled over the old road that ran through the long abandoned beach area of Toomulla. The wave exhausted itself in the forested areas and ran back out toward the ocean. Under the ocean, a high reef area had completely collapsed and there appeared a giant canyon that ran east and west for a few thousand yards. A tremor was recorded on the computers of the oceanographic monitors that lined the reefs off the coast. It registered around 5.6 on the Richter scale and was noted by the small station located further north on the mainland. The time was also recorded at 2345 hours. Off the coast line of the Carolinas of the North American Continent roughly 130 miles a similar incident occurred. The ensuing tsunami was not very big by the time it reached land fall and was more like a 20 foot wave that washed a coastal highway out and took a few buildings off their foundations. The Emperor of the UNITED STATES would not know that his assassin agency had mysteriously disappeared until a good month later.

59 A WEDDING OF PAST AND PRESENT (PART 1)

Kyra was on her knees whilst she dug the holes for the tomato plants that she was transplanting today. Cody was lying up next to the shop/garage and she was thinking remotely about the wedding she and Ethan were going to attend tomorrow. Debra Petrovski, Kelly had visited her and Ethan in the dreamnet a few weeks earlier and asked if she and Ethan would attend a wedding of two young kids, Deb had told her that the young woman had attended her school when she was very young but then her parents took her out to home school. She mentioned the name Galia Weatheral but the boy’s name did not ring a bell to her, however she had known the Weatherals and knew they worked for the government on some very iffy projects. She had never met the girl and apparently there were two of them that had been raised after the parents had mysteriously disappeared. She was jolted aware from her musings when Cody came running by. He yipped as he made his way to the open gate. She looked at him run and then saw the two Kangaroo’s standing just inside the fence. She smiled and said welcome, please come in, there are some great plants to munch on over by the building. Boxer and Hopper both reached down and patted Cody as he joyfully danced around them before they moved toward the place Kyra told them about. They came by ever so often just to see Cody who had become a great friend to them. Kyra watched them for a moment then went back to planting the tomatoes. She had a basket full of beets, carrots and even some cabbage that grew through the winter months. She was going to make a favorite dish for the festival tomorrow; one that Ethan had shown her. Ethan had gone to the store and said he would be home early. He had to collect one item for the wedding and he had one in the shop that he almost had completed in restoration. They both were giving these gifts to the happy couple.

Aberdeen had left early this morning with a group of the children to plant some trees. He had been working daily to clear a big swath of trees that had been washed from the ground during the big storm at the end of last summer. The children had been helping him as well as many neighbors that lived along the big creek. Today was going to be short because of the wedding he and Connie were going to attend on the morrow. The children were all abuzz with it also. It seemed that the Kelly children had notified them about the happening and there were going to be many, many folks from Paradise. The Farm they would be going to was north of them and Aberdeen had been up the road many times to purchase fresh milk from the big dairy farm. Connie was making up the dish to take and he had heard about the carpentry work that the man and two of the Kellie's had accomplished. He would be talking with Leif Kelly and his nephew about building some of the cottages if the man would be interested. He would even talk with the one getting married in the future about using his talents. When he talked with Connie about this she told him that he should enjoy the wedding festivities and not think so much about always building something. He could not help it though and Connie knew this. She loved him and his giving attitude for homeless and poor folks. She knew there was still many Hectares of land that could be built on for people and Aberdeen continued to buy other parcels when they could.

The Kellie's were taken home by Nathan, Galia and Jeanette. The skirmish, the night before had brought both families closer together in sister and brother hood. The wedding today was going to unite them all much closer than they knew at the moment. Jeanette and Galia had set the destruction of the underwater base in motion when they removed the black hearted agents from the farm and placed them on the submarine that would return to that den of vipers. Jeanette told them, especially Jubel and Marni what she and Galia did and how the entire place would cease to exist before midnight. She also told them about the other base and how Hava and Luun would be taking care of it. The time was 2230 hours when they cleaned up the remaining evidence that the agents left and made it so their existence was no more. Little Jubel wanted to spend the night with the other children so Megan, Devlin, Marni and Jubel all wanted him to take a good dip in the ocean first. Jeanette, Galia and Nathan took all the water dwellers to the ocean and returned almost in the blink of any eye. Everyone was refreshed and the Kellies were returned home for a good rest prior to the wedding/party. Nathan said he would notify Keith Hammond on the morrow about his truck while Otto and Henry replaced the wires and fixed everything so the truck would start. They had found the keys under the seat and handed them to Nathan before they were taken home. Keith lived alone on his small farm but his children would come and visit once a month or so. His wife had died a few years back of some kind of fever.

Rene’ and Ursula had spent time helping Debra clean up breakfast and they both were quite excited. Everybody had gotten up the normal time and made sure the animals were fed and turned out. This was the big wedding day and Debra had her pies already cooking in the ovens. The Kellies would be bringing mostly fruit dishes to the party and would also bring some bushels of whole fruits from Harmony orchard. They all had to be at the Comet Farm by at least 11am as Hattie and Debra would be coordinating the dressing. Others were showing up to set up the foods and drinks for the party. Jeanette would be helping also with the dressing but she was getting married to Johansson. The wedding was to take place in the early afternoon. The girls were being very antsy and it was already 7am so Debra told them to get along. The girls were going to fly over the mountains to the Comet farm this morning and decorate the Pergola structure with flowers. They both would be making the crowns for the brides and bridesmaids.

Jeanette had told everyone on the beach the previous morning that she and Johansson were going to be married along with Galia and Nathan. Everyone on the beach laughed and hoo hawed and Uncle John was given big bear hugs from his brothers and nephews while the women folk hugged and kissed him. They all, had made a wonderful breakfast and all the ocean dwellers, as Rene’ thought of them, went into the ocean, while the children did the same just to be with the dolphin family one last time before the wedding. Jeanette had taken Johansson into the no time as it was known by now and returned almost within the very second that they disappeared. The clothes that Uncle John had on reminded Rene’ of the clothes they all would be wearing for the wedding. He had a long sword belted to his side. Father had said he would make a fine soldier.

As they both flew over the meadow and dropped down to the pergola Rene’ saw the Kangaroo’s standing at the edge of the forest. She recognised Khulu and Nomusa and smiled as the group began to graze the tall grass. She told Ursula about them and to expect them to possibly come and talk. She and Ursula had a complete picture in their mind of how the pergola would be decorated. Both of them remembered previous weddings of Nathan and Galia. It was as if they were destined to repeat the happening. It was uncanny how both the girls kept coming together at this juncture in life every time they came back into the time from the no-time. There were always a few things that were different but the actual ceremony it’s self always had Nathan and Galia and the other children that were part of the wedding party. The major turning point of this wedding was her sister getting married to Uncle John. This had never happened before and the entire reunion of Galia’s family on the beach was another experience that had not happened before. She and Ursula had discussed these changes in the routine of the wedding, as they had known how it always played out and were excited that perhaps this might be the last and forever time that all these people would finally never be separated again. It appeared to both of them how all the people seemed to be connected now into one family.

Khulu and his mate, Nomusa were on the move from the ocean into the mountains. There were three other females, one other young male and 5 Joeys in the group and one was Nomusa’s child. As they came from the Northern forest into the big meadow Khulu stopped and looked at the structures standing around the knoll and on top of it. He was of mind to investigate what Nathan and Galia had built. They did not look like barriers but more like places where beings could rest except for the one on top of the knoll. As he began to move toward the structures, he saw two female joeys, one from the place called Harmony fly through the air and land on the knoll. Nomusa came up to his side and touched him. What do you think the humans are doing, this does not look like a barrier but rather a place for humans to gather in great numbers. I am not sure dear Nomusa but perhaps we should go and talk with those two human joeys that just landed on the knoll. The group of Kangaroos began to graze and move toward the knoll.

The girls had each brought a mid sized basket full of flowers that they had picked from the meadows and orchards of the Harmony farm and began to adorn the pergola structure with them. The colors ranged in the complete spectrum of what one might recognize as the well known color wheel. However there were more greens blues and reds at the entrance where the top of the steps stopped and the pergola began. Both girls hung the long stemmed roses, they had picked, from the open ceiling structure that circled around the center. The center was completely open where the two who would be wed were to stand as well as the priest or whoever performed the ceremonies of the past times. Rene’ knew that there would be four standing in this area today and there would be no priest of the government or religion like in the past. As they both discussed and continued to chatter about how this day was different their excitement was quite noticeable even if there was no one there to witness it or so they thought. They both finished with the flowers they had brought and levitated themselves into the surrounding meadow. They were so intent on picking the most colorful flowers that neither one of them noticed the Kangaroo’s or the small group of people standing just at the edge of the western forest.

The blue eyed star people watched as the two small human Joey’s buzzed around the meadow picking the most colorful and open flowers to place in their baskets. Jannali turned to Naomi and said “they look just like the wood pixies on the forest world of Thrindell don’t you think? Rene’ and Ursula should travel there to meet Eva and her clan.” Naomi smiled and said yes in a very calm voice whilst thinking of that particular clan of wondrous beings. Jannali turned to his group and ushered them back into the forest. We will rest in the far meadow today and join the festivities later. There is going to be a wonderful time and happening in the sun gazing meadow today and we will get to meet up once again with the water dwellers. We will also meet the weaver of the webs in the dreams. This is a change of much today and I see that we ourselves will be transformed in many ways. Yonny, go tell Khulu and his clan to come join us till the festive begins. The blue eyed boy waited for the two pixies to fly back to the knoll and hurriedly caught Khulu and Nomusa and quietly told them to come. The two girls, decorating the pergola did not notice the Kangaroo’s disappear into the west forest and a while later, both of them took their baskets of fresh picked flowers and flew toward the farm house.

Gyel-AYSH sat on the stool as the maid brushed her long ginger blond hair. She was to be married this day to William Nathanial Hunter. Her fortune to come together with this man, gave her thought of life times in her past. She loved him and he loved her. She had loved him in other lifetimes and the more she had been with him since he had rescued her from the Red bear clan of Vikings, the more she recognized that they were destined to always be together. She fell into deeper memories of the day she was captured and the day she was rescued as the maid brushed her hair.

Re: Story of fiction and fantasy and science fiction

It was still dark with the light of the sun barely showing on the South eastern landscape. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and saw her mother standing over a large iron pot at the fire pit while tossing bits of fresh cut tubers and other edible food bits into the steaming water. Her father and brothers were still lying down in the hastily made huts that they so often made as they moved from one place to another. They were connected to the ‘Dun deas’ Clan and the family she was in were mostly warriors. “Hurry child, go and gather the mushrooms. Your father and brothers will be getting up soon and they will want to eat.” She could see the bread cooking in the rock oven as she moved toward the forest.

They had moved across the lands fighting the Vikings who seemed to always be invading from the isles to the west and even from the northeastern parts of the world. She had just become 8 years in life two days prior and she was helping her mother with the food by searching the forest for Mushrooms to add to the big pot. She fetched her pouch and wished her older sister was still alive. As she moved into the trees she remembered when her older sister had been killed in the last battle with the Vikings. Mægwynn was only a few years older than she and it was a very sad time for the family when the big man with the horns on his head chopped her down as she ran. Her father, who was a rather large man himself, killed the Viking with a great swing of his sword. When that man went down, the other bandits of his clan turned and ran away. She dreamed of other lives where Mægwynn had been killed or taken, sometimes sooner and other times she grew up with her to much older ages. Sometimes she was the one that got killed or taken first but in all those times she and Mægwynn would always somehow come back together. The forest was still to dark to see the Mushrooms but she knew it would be light enough very soon. She moved further away from the camp hoping to find bigger ones this day. The light was getting brighter as she walked and then she heard the screams. She turned and ran back toward the camp and before she could reach the area someone picked her up and she swung forward and then was slung over a man’s shoulder. She could smell the animal hide the man was wearing and had caught a glimpse of horns on the man’s head.

She was carried into the camp where she saw the nightmare that could not go away from her. Her father and mother were both lying on the ground in a pool of blood. The man put her on the ground roughly and it hurt her. She saw her two brothers standing close to the fire and then a big ugly man came and killed them both. When she woke from that gruesome scene she was on a ship and tied to a post with 3 other girls that she knew from the camp. One was bleeding from a cut on her leg so she scooted as close as she could and tried to stop the bleeding. The ship was rocking up and down and to the side and water was splashing on her and the others. There were men on both sides of the ship and they were rowing. A few days later they reached a landing and she and the others were taken to a village. She was treated as a slave and lived in that village for the next 7 years until the man she was going to marry came with a small army and saved her and the others that had been taken by the Vikings. The next three years she lived as a free maiden in a village close to the western shores of Scotland. Nathanial and her were best friends and loved each other. She found out that he was part of the Hunter clan and he was soon to be a captain of 20 brave warriors. He asked her to marry him and it was today she would become Nathanial Hunter’s wife. She had told him that she was with child and they both kept the secret because she would be sent to an abbey and punished if it was known that he and she had relations before marriage.

“My lady, my lady, Gyel-AYSH, Galia, Galia, good lord girl, you almost fell off the chair. Where ever did you go?” Hattie was standing in front of her holding a bore hair brush. Galia looked at her sheepishly and said, “I was in the past Hattie. I think further back than before but I was getting ready for a wedding.” “Well listen girl, I know you can travel to the past and into the future but we are here in the present and we only have a few hours or so until you and that young man get to stand in that wonderful pergola and say your vows or whatever it will be and you both were right to tell us, I mean Jeanette and me about you being with child and all so we could get this party done before you start showing.” Galia smiled and felt the babies move. “Okay, okay but there is something about this day and what is happening that is awakening more and more in my heart and mind and there is also something else going on that I feel weary about. I thought I heard the flower girls earlier.” Hattie stepped around behind Galia once again and began to brush her hair some more. “Yes you heard both of them little pixies. They flew over early this morning and spent time out there adorning the pergola and what not with flowers. They are in the kitchen right now making the crowns you and Jeanette will be wearing and said something about making gifts for everyone with the flowers. Ha, those two act like they have done this all before and to tell you the truth, with the special gift’s those children and you and Nathan and Jeanette and the entire Kelly family have, I would not doubt it.”

“Hattie, where are Mother and father and Megan and Devlin, and where is Nathan?” “Well don’t forget Hanna.” “Yes, Hanna, where are they?” “Well then, you slept in this morning and everyone decided you needed it. It is around 10am and Jeanette and I came over at around 9. She spent some time helping with the clothing. I think everyone is thrilled with the theme and most can’t wait to get all dressed up for this party today. You woke up in a daze it seemed right about when we showed up. I finally got you through your shower and some breakfast. Anyway Jeanette took all the water folks out to the ocean for a quick refresher. The Kellies are on their way over and I think most folks that have been invited are starting to show up. Nathan has set up a place for them to park and has already taken some out to the Meadow. He is being quite busy but he is going to have to let others get involved. Marni, Hanna and Jubel said something about the lab this morning but I don’t know what they were talking about. Seems they had already discussed a bunch of stuff before Jeanette and I arrived. Galia looked at Hattie with a blank stare for a few moments and then said in the old Gaelic language “you mean Jeanne d’ Lafayette, Hunter?” Hattie looked at her with a surprised expression and said “I am not exactly sure what you just said young lady but if you are talking about Jeanette then yes, she is with all the water folk and they should be returning shortly, now lets get you all fixed up.”

William Nathanial walked through the tree line that was just to the West of his stone dwellings. Today he was to wed with Gyel-AYSH whom he had rescued some three years prior from the Viking held Isle of Mull. She and others of her clan had been captured when she was just a child and treated as slaves. His father had learned that the small group of folk that were part of the Dundas family had been captured and taken to one of the isles some 7 years in the past and a group of his family members told him that they had seen them and how they were still alive. The wars with the Vikings were on going and the Scottish would always try to bring back their clans. He was just a young man of 15 years at the time but his father kept him close and taught him the ways of a warrior. The rescue operation was to be one of stealth and did manage to succeed albeit his father sustained a wound that would kill him later. The 22 warriors including him landed in a quiet cove and traversed some 10 miles to the village and fought the few men and women to their death. They let the Viking children live and sent them away as they gathered the Scottish children. They set fire to the village and left as quickly as they came and escaped back to the mainland without any more fighting.

He and Gyel-AYSH were the same age and became fast friends. His father died from his wound some 3 months after the skirmish and his mother took Gyel-AYSH as her maiden in waiting. His mother had come from France by way of ship into the lowlands of the south and met his father. His mother was almost considered a witch in many places because she could do things that most men and the papal bishops of Rome thought, bordered on the shamanistic, heretic practices of the times. Joen’ pronounced Jeanne never paid much mind to the false accusations from the clergy and his father was fierce against anyone that spoke ill of her.

He was thinking of the skirmish he and his men countered the night before, with a group of Vikings that entered the village and managed to kill 5 good people before they were killed and ran off, when he bumped into the big Swede. He fell back and Leif grabbed him by the arm before he could fall. “You know Nathanial, you should wake up now. Your wedding is only a few hours away and we still must get the boys and men ready. I have placed the men around the garden to watch for invaders such as we had last night. You must get ready. I think the lady Gyel-AYSH is being attended to by your mother but that is not for certain because I saw her walking the street earlier with another maid. It is said that she visited the clothe maker and the jeweler and then she was seen at the smithy. Far be it for me to say your mother is magical and I am sure your father would beat me to the ground if he ever heard me say such a thing, but your mother was wearing the strangest clothes such that I have never seen before. She was almost unrecognizable to the village. There are only a few that did recognize her and I thought she may have laid a spell over the folk, forgive me Nathanial, I must not be in my right mind this day.”

Nathan opened his eyes and looked at the bright sky above the tree tops. He reached up and touched his forehead and felt the lump. It was sore and he immediately jerked his hand away. He rolled over to his side and got up. He felt a bit woozy and then looked at the tree. Apparently he was sleep walking or something and walked right into it. He had taken a short cut through the trees after he directed some folks to drive their cars around the woods on the dirt road that led to the far pasture. He told them were to pull off into the south end of the big meadow where the wedding was to be held. In his dream, he could see Leif, the man whom he considered a close brother and who was going to be his best man today and the man in the dream did not look any different. He continued walking through the trees and came out into the meadow. The folks he had directed to park were already moving coolers and baskets up to the tables under the roof covers. A tall slender man turned and saw him come out of the trees and hurried over to him.

Aberdeen had helped Connie carry the coolers over and when he turned to go and get the other items he saw the boy who had directed them to the meadow come out of the trees. The boy looked as if he was going to fall over any minute so he hurried over to him. As he came closer he could see a deep purple spot on the boy’s forehead. “What happened to you, did someone bean you on your head?” Nathan looked at the man and shook his head which hurt so he spoke quietly and said “no, I think I ran into a tree. I must have been day dreaming or something.” The man took him by the arm and helped him over to one of the benches lining the structure around the knoll. Connie walked over with a towel. She had wrapped some Ice cubes in it when she first saw Aberdeen helping the boy. She could see the nasty bruise on his forehead and knew immediately that it needed something to reduce the swelling. “Aberdeen darling, would you be so kind to help this young man back to the house?” Aberdeen helped Nathan stand up and helped him hold the towel to his head as they both walked the path toward the house. Connie and 3 other folks that had shown up continued to pack the coolers and eating utensils and things to the tables

In the Kitchen at the farm house, Rene’ and Ursula sat at the table working with the flowers they had picked earlier in the meadow. “Did you see where the Kangaroo’s got off to, I thought for sure they would have come and talked with us.” Ursula looked up from her task of weaving the flowers into a semi-crown that was open in the front and said “I saw them when we first arrived but then we got so busy placing all the flowers and then going and picking more I sort of forgot they were there. I think I might have seen them move toward the west forest. Do you think they are still in the meadow?” “No, I did a quick glance as we left to come here and did not see them anywhere. Could be they had to be somewhere so they moved on.” Rene’ heard the trucks pull up close to the barn and stood up and moved to the porch window. “Well, the family just arrived so we should get busy we still have to get dressed.” Ursula could hardly wait to dress in her Kirtle that was made for her by Aunt Hattie as they all thought of her now.

Otto and Debra drove the pickup while Leif and Johansson drove the flatbed that held all the boys. As they drove up to the barn, Otto saw Aberdeen helping Nathan walk toward the house. “What do you suppose happened to him?” he said as he looked closer at Nathan. He could see the purple lump on his forehead and jumped out of the truck. Debra did the same and they both hurried over to the two men. “What happened, that is a pretty nasty knock on the noggin.” Nathan looked at Otto and Debra and started to talk but the pain in his head made him think twice. Aberdeen looked at Debra and said “we need to get him to the house and get some more ice packs on him. Connie fixed this one but the ice has melted.” Otto let Debra go with Nathan and Aberdeen and went back to the pickup. The boys were waiting on the flatbed and Otto asked Leif and Johansson to bring the flatbed. “Let’s get all this stuff out to the meadow so we can get back and get dressed.” Leif asked if Nathan was going to be alright, “The boy looked like someone hit him on the forehead with a bat or something.” “Well I’m not sure what happened to him but I think he will be alright, just a bit woozy at the moment. Debra is there now and I think Hattie and Jeanette and the rest will make sure he comes out alright, shall we go see how the folks are doing in the meadow?”

Rene’ and Ursula heard people on the back porch and thought it was the family until the door opened. Debra opened the door and stood just inside as Aberdeen helped Nathan in and over to the table. Rene’ and Ursula both had stood up and watched as the two came over and Aberdeen sat Nathan down. Debra had already moved to the counter and fetched a towel and was loading some ice cubes into it. “Mother, what has happened,” Rene’ asked. “I’m not sure honey but we need to get the swelling down.” Debra came over and placed the towel on Nathan’s forehead and said “keep this pressed to the bruise, we’ll replace it shortly and the swelling should go down. I don’t know what the color will do but perhaps we can use some makeup to take away the purple.” She was smiling as she did all of this and Nathan could feel the pain receding as the ice cooled his head off.

Nathan felt like he could speak and said “I think I was in a trance or something. I was walking through the trees and ran into one, then Leif shook me and I woke up. I managed to get up and walk into the meadow.” Debra looked at him and said “I don’t know how Leif could have been out there in the forest because we just arrived when Aberdeen brought you around the barn.” “Well he was dressed in clothes that you all made for the party today. He even had the sword and he said something about posting the men around the party place to guard against those Vikings that attacked us last night.” Debra looked at the two girls and at Aberdeen and he turned and moved toward the back door. He was silent for a moment and said just before leaving, “Looks like you will be alright now, I’m going back out and help get things set up,” and with that he went through the door and walked straight toward the meadow. Nathan made note of Aberdeen’s clothes because they looked just like what Leif was wearing except for the sword.

Ursula and Rene’ both sat back down at the table while Debra fetched some ice tea for Nathan. “You know Nathan you can’t be doing all this business by yourself, you got to let the others help. Now look at you, you got this nice lump that is all purple and that really is not going to accentuate Galia’s dress.” Nathan smiled and almost laughed but his head still ached so he thought better of that. Ursula stood up and looked at Rene’. There was a quiet communication between them as she walked to Nathan’s side. Nathan turned and looked at her.

The trees were thick with wood smoke as he sat on the log. His men were busy sharpening their swords and making sure their clothes were on proper. The big Swede was sitting close while pulling a cloth from a bucket of water and wringing it out. The man started to hand it to him when a young girl walked through the trees and made her way directly toward him. He could feel the soreness on his head and had his hand semi holding a damp cloth. Leif was going to replace the cloth with a new one but the girl came up to his side and spoke. “Sir William, may I see your wound?” He looked at Leif and then at this very young blond haired child and slowly removed the wet cloth. He had somehow tripped and fallen in the forest and had cut his forehead when he fell. There was a rather large lump around the cut and Leif was trying to get the swelling down and bandage his head before his wedding ceremony. The child spoke softly to Leif and the man shook his head. She turned and reached her hand toward Nathanial’s face. He flinched but as soon as her small hand touched his wound it quit hurting. He had to close his eyes because a bright light came from the child’s hand. The men sitting around the camp stared at the scene but had to squint and cover their own eyes. Leif had put his hands over his eyes but could see through his fingers. He saw the child place her hand over the wound on Nathanial’s forehead and then the bright light came from her hand. She stood for a minute or so and took her hand away. The light dimmed and Leif stood up quickly. Nathanial’s forehead was completely healed. There was no sign that anything had happened to his head. Leif shook his head in disbelief but the little child looked up at him and his mind was calmed. She did the same to all the others that were sitting around and they all went back to doing what ever it was they were doing before.

Nathan opened his eyes and saw Ursula sitting back down. Rene’ and Debra were both smiling. He reached up and touched his head and felt no pain. He looked again at Ursula and Rene’ and saw the big smiles on their face’s. He understood that these girls could do the same things that Galia could do as it pertained to healing. He knew his mother could do the same and he was sure there were others, many others that had woken or were waking to their higher being. He had to smile with the knowledge that the world, mother earth was making her transition into health and the peoples were flowing along with her. Debra had watched as Ursula moved to Nathan and healed his forehead. She knew that Rene’ had the capabilities to do that sort of thing simply because she had seen her and the two boys heal cuts and bruises as those things happened and the whole affair with the healing of Otto when the men had first arrived had given her comfort in knowing that her family was very safe. The touch of Ursula to do the same made her wonder if Timmy and Waji might also have the same capabilities. She had talked with Otto about adopting the three into the family and how they had plenty of room for all of them. Lonny, Henry and Rene’ had all agreed that it would be wonderful. Henry and Leif had even drawn up plans to add on to the house. She said to Nathan, “well it would appear that Ursula has cleared up the purple nasty so Galia won’t be mismatched with you this afternoon, how do you feel?” Nathan stood up and walked around to Ursula. He stopped and bent down to his knee. Ursula had watched him and finally stood up from the chair and walked into his open arms. “Thank you my little sister we will dance in the stars today together.” He hugged her and then stood and said “Let’s get the party started shall we?” and with that he walked out the back door.

Jeanette had gathered Marni, Jubel, Hanna, Megan and Devlin in a circle in the barn and told them to touch her. When they placed their hands on her they all found themselves standing on the beach. It was mid morning and the waves were rushing in around 30 to 60 seconds apart. The wind was blowing off the ocean at a steady 20 to 25 knots and the waves were around 3 to 4 feet in height as they broke and curled into the water as it rushed back out. The tide was on the rise and the beach was much narrower where they all stood. Megan was the first to break the circle and walk into the water. Devlin followed. Hanna stood with Marni and Jubel for a few minutes and then they all three went into the water. Even though they could stay out of the water with much longer periods, the chance to be refreshed was never wasted. Jeanette told them she would return within the hour so they all could return to the farm and prepare for the wedding. Jeanette watched them until they were in deep enough water to swim and she stepped into the no-time and out into a garden of time.

Christine, Maria and Carolyne were sitting on the long lounge and drinking hot tea and coffee or whatever drinks they had chose this morning. They were discussing the latest missions the teams were on and when Jeanette appeared Carolyne said “welcome Jeanette, come join us and tell us the good news. All three knew that there was to be a bonding today or tomorrow by time standards. They did not know that Jeanette was going to bond also. Christine asked how the wedding was going. “We would like to be there.” Jeanette smiled and said “ladies, you know as well as I do that there is no time between us. Hava and Luun both know this and they are coming from the past into the present to be there, so I believe you can do the same. I have come to take you there if you so want.” Maria asked if she would like some tea. “The herbs come from Greybark’s orchard and they are delicious.” Carolyne had a big smile on her face and said “is this wedding of a medieval theme?” “Yes it is very much so. In fact it is going to be very connected to the wedding that took place in that time. Galia and Nathan are already experiencing the past as well as others who are connected to them and that time. The closer we get to the actual ceremony, the closer the time lines come together until they become one. You ladies will be from the higher courts of that time and that is so destined. That is why I have come for you. Now, may I ask where your men are?” Carolyne spoke for the three of them. “They are away on missions.” Jeanette understood and said “then you are free to come as the ladies of the higher courts?” They all three shook their heads and giggled with pleasure. Christine asked “where are we to find the period clothing?”

It was Jeanette’s turn to smile and she had to giggle also. What a catching thing, this giggling is she thought. “I must tell the extra good news and then we will find your clothing.” She took a sip of the tea and her eye brows rose. “Oh my, this tea is very good. You really must show me Greybark’s orchard. I can not say this any other way; I am going to get bonded also, so the wedding will be with two couples this time. That is the difference and I do not know what may become of it. I am not able to see the future other than with the man I will bond to. My elder sister is quite hushed and it could be she does not see either. All I know at this point is that we will all be joined.” Carolyne, Christine and Maria all had to hug her and say congratulations. Jeanette knew that Hava and Luun or Evelyne and Eryne would be at the wedding so she refrained from asking where they might be. Instead she stood and held out her hands. “Come ladies shall we go shopping?”

A WEDDING OF PAST AND PRESENT (PART 2) (ENCOUNTER AT THE FERRY)

The four women stood in a field next to a river and could barely see the city on the far side due to the fog. There were small boats and some larger ones with many sails moving up and down the river. Jeanette told them to stay for a few minutes and disappeared. When she reappeared she had four Ladies Kirtles, with rope ties for belts. Put these on over your attire for now so we won’t be thought of as witches or something. The last time I came to this period, Hattie and I were looked at as something like that. We are going into Glasgow to purchase gowns for a wedding. There is a fair being held and the year is 1262 and it is the later part of July. Christine was the first to slip the Kirtle over her head. “It is a bit chilly here so these dresses are quite handy then.” They all pulled the garments on and each took turns tightening up the lace. Jeanette showed them how to tie the Ceinture, as she called it and they all fell into a walk on a nearby road toward a ferry. As they walked along the road a horse drawn coach approached and when it reached them it stopped and a woman stuck her head from the door window and asked if they needed a ride. “I am going to the Crookston Castle and it is not far from the fair. The woman was speaking in the old Gaelic tongue and only Jeanette could understand her. She spoke up and asked if the lady had room for four ladies from the lowlands. The woman said “aye and won’t you come aboard.” Jeanette pushed the others toward the coach as the woman opened the door.

“Are you here for the fair then, it is strange to see ladies from the lowlands walking along the road. Could it be that you have lost your coach?” Carolyne, Christine and Maria were starting to pick up the Gaelic dialect but were still not sure of what this woman was saying. Jeanette had spoke into their minds and was giving them a quick lesson of the language. Jeanette looked at the woman sitting in front of them. She had long red hair and her skin was fair. She seemed to have a permanent smile on her face that immediately gave the impression of friendliness, happiness and made people relax when they met this woman. Jeanette knew that the women of the high lands could be fiery and quite fierce. She could see that this woman had a dirk hanging at her side and pitied any man that thought he could take liberties with her. This woman reminded her of someone she had known in Brisbane who had always appeared to be friendly but could put a knife in anyone at a turn of the hat. “No my lady, we have come to the city for clothes fit to wear at a wedding we will be attending soon. You see, a man of the Clann an t-Sealgair” will be wedding a lady of the ‘Dun deas’ clan and we wish to be dressed in a fitting way. Might you perhaps give us directions to a good tailor and seamstress?”

“Ah, yes the Clann an t-Sealgair, they are known far and wide and William the lion is very well renowned. The Dun deas clan is well known also, it is fortunate that two of their young ones will be wed then. I am remiss, please forgive me, I am “CH-EHZSaa”.MacGregor of the MacGregor clan. My husband is Ian MacGregor, perhaps you have heard of him. And what might be your name then my lady?” “Well my lady CH-EHZSaa, I am Jeanne d' Lafayette, Hunter of the Hunter Clan and it is my son who will be wed soon.” CH-EHZSaa smiled, “Ah it is you that are very fortunate then.” She turned her beaming smile toward Christine and said “and what might be your name my lady and where is it that you hale from?” Jeanette wasn’t sure that Christine would be able yet to answer the lady but Christine spoke right up and said “I am Kirstin of the Dunbar clan and the lady to be wed is part of our clans.” Maria was next and simply stated that she was Maria of the Hunter clan.

Carolyne was the last one that the woman looked at. She had read CH-EHZSaa’s mind and knew the woman was being very cautious. She could read the thoughts of how she and her husband and their clan were some sort of unwanted peoples in the land. She could not see clearly how this might be and she thought to herself that she did not want to know. She did know that this time period was always in a state of war with different clans and peoples of other countries. When she had been taken to the learning place, she was shown a time line of lives she lived and her clan in this period was called the Clan Buchanan and her name was Catriona or Katrina. This moment in time was shown and how this woman was intending to rob them as soon as her coach was loaded on the ferry to cross the river. Carolyne could see that CH-EHZSaa’s husband or man she was traveling with was going to enter the ferry with at least 4 other men and they would rob everyone on the ferry. She could see the death of several of the people. She was not shown the final outcome of the affair but rather was given choices that would only manifest at this juncture in time. She spoke into Jeanette, Maria and Christine’s mind about what was coming. We must be prepared to fight. This woman and her gang of men are planning to rob everyone on the ferry we are approaching.

CH-EHZSaa was looking out the window and waiting for Carolyne to speak to her question. Jeanette, who was sitting on the same seat as the woman, reached into her mind, now that Carolyne spoke of the danger approaching and could see the whole scenario approaching. This woman and her band of merry men had done this many times before and not only did they plan to rob the people on the ferry, they were also planning to enter the fair and steal much more before escaping into the Highlands. The robbing part was bad enough but to kill or murder innocent victims was insidious. She also read the woman’s thoughts about the driver of the coach. He was one of the bandits. Jeanette knew that CH-EHZSaa was getting ready to pull her dirk and press it to her throat as soon as the coach was resting on the ferry. This woman was not beyond killing anybody that stood in her way of taking what she wanted. CH-EHZSaa finally looked back at Carolyne and asked in a rather rough tone, “Well lady, are you then going to tell me who you are and what clan you might be part of? We are coming to the ferry and I surely must know where you hale from before we cross.” Carolyne could see as well as the others that this woman had suddenly become agitated and quite nervous. The woman was on the verge of yelling at her.

Jeanette knew it was time to make a move. She spoke softly to CH-EHZSaa and said “I see you carry a dirk. Is this custom for all ladies to carry in these parts?” CH-EHZSaa turned suddenly to her and said with a restrained voice, “yes it is quite customary” and with that she pulled the dirk from its sheath. Knowing what was coming next Jeanette reached out and touched the woman whom promptly disappeared. Jeanette spoke quietly and said “we only have a few minutes before we enter the ferry. I will be back before the coach arrives, so be on guard” and with that she disappeared. All three of them knew what had happened. They had seen Hava and Luun almost continuously do this so they talked with each other in the mind speak and prepared to defend themselves. On the empty seat, three dirks appeared so they all put them on as they heard the driver beginning to slow the horses up.

Jeanette stepped into time above the ocean and hovered over the group of water breathers. She lowered herself and said “come it is time for the men to protect the women in the past and for you woman of the present to be with your daughter and sister of old.” They all looked at her as they gathered together and she reached her hands out to touch them all. At the farm, the group materialized in the barn. Jeanette told Jubel and Devlin to gather their swords and get dressed in there medieval clothing while she found Otto, Leif, Johansson and Nathan who was on his way out to the meadow. She brought them to the barn and told them to do the same as she had told Jubel and Devlin. Marni, Hanna and Megan had already moved to the house.

All six men stood in a circle, decked out in their medieval clothes with the full dress of swords and dirks. Jeanette stood in the center and explained to them what they were about to do. “You are going back in time to save some ladies in distress. They are about to be robbed and murdered by a band of criminals on a ferry that is crossing a river into the old city of Glasgow. There are many other people on this ferry. These criminals are all armed with the same weapons you have and they are quite skilled in using them so you must be at your best to fight them off. I can bring you back within seconds of now but it will seem that you will be there for many hours. The three women in the coach are from this time and will be here for the wedding. John, you must take the man that is driving the coach and throw him into the river. He is part of the gang. I will place you on the seat next to him so be ready. The others will be walking their horses onto the ferry and this is when you all must strike. They will not be aware of you coming from their rear. Be on guard and be safe.” With that they all moved close and touched Jeanette and the barn was empty.

The coach had come to a stop and all three women inside had taken there dirk’s out and were crouched down, ready to spring when the doors opened. As far as Carolyne could tell the coach had not boarded the ferry yet so she thought they may be waiting for others to board or something. She had gotten a glance forward but the fog was thick and she couldn’t see the ferry itself. In fact she couldn’t see the river although they all three could hear the water moving. Carolyne was thinking that this would be the time for the robbers to attack but it seemed that no one was approaching yet. They heard the man that was driving speak to someone and a few minutes later the coach bucked and started to move. The driver was using some kind of swear words as he told someone to get out of the way.

Maria was sitting low in the seat on the right side when the door suddenly opened and a man jumped in. He was speaking in a whisper and said “CH-EHZSaa get ready” as he sat down on the seat next to Maria. There was no answer from the woman so the man turned to look straight into Maria’s eyes and the dirk that she brought up to his throat. She said in a very strained quiet voice “if you move a muscle or make a noise this blade will find it’s way through your neck, do you understand me?” The man’s eyes grew very big and he barely shook his head in response. Maria shifted her eyes to Carolyne and Christine moved across the seat and stuck her blade to the man’s side. “There are more than one of us and my blade will not miss its mark.” The man was now so surprised he almost could not speak but his raspy silent voice had to ask “where is my sister?” Carolyne moved into his sight on the seat in front of him. “Your sister, if she really is, has left this coach and abandoned your mission. I am afraid she had no choice as you do not. We know you are bandits or robbers. We intend to turn you over to the proper authorities when we get across this river. Now you have a choice if you so choose. You can tell this driver to hold his position because you will die if he doesn’t or you can die in this seat and we will throw you in the river.” The man almost had to laugh at the absurdity of this woman’s request but instead he started to move and perhaps speak loudly. Maria poked the knife into his neck enough to draw blood and said “I would think very serious about your next move Mr. MacGregor.” “How do you know my last name?” “Your sister told us everything and what you are planning to do. She even told us how many of you there are so if you do not want to end your life here and now you are going to tell the driver what to do and where ever your other men may be, you are going to tell them to leave this ferry and forget this mission you have plotted.”

The coach came to a stop once again but it was not on the ferry yet. The three women could hear the shouting and carrying on of the people as they made their way onto the ferry and the driver was shouting for them to hurry up. On the road, about 100 feet behind the throng of people and the coach, 6 men materialized with one woman. “The robbers are mingled with the other people but they all have horses they are leading.” Jeanette spoke quietly and spoke into Carolyne, Christine and Maria’s mind. Are you alright, something has changed. We are behind you on the road and will be coming to the ferry very quickly. Carolyne answered her and told her what had transpired and how they had one of the bandits in the coach and he was more or less a hostage. Jeanette almost laughed but held her self in check. I have brought the men from the wedding and they will be boarding the ferry to deal with the robbers. I am sending one to deal with the driver and he will take his place. We can barely see the coach as we are walking toward you now but we can hear all the people talking. I don’t think the coach is on the ferry yet so be careful that another robber does not try to get on.

Jeanette turned to the men and spoke into their minds as one. The three women in the coach have captured one of the criminals and are holding him hostage. You must hurry to the ferry and stop the others from beginning their scheme. John, I am going to take you to the driver and you must knock him from the seat without the others knowing it. The fog is quite thick fortunately so it is going to be hard for anyone to focus on what may be happening around them. This is also fortunate for the criminals so everyone, be extra careful. She let the others hurry forward and waited for them to reach the rear of the coach before she touched John and they both disappeared. She stayed in time but turned invisible and since she was holding John he also turned invisible. They both levitated and moved toward the coach. She kept a hold of John and they both lowered to the seat. She let go of John and he became visible. The driver did not know what was happening when the man appeared next to him and reacted badly by trying to pull his dirk. John’s fist landed on the man’s temple and he dropped his dirk and fell over. John levitated while holding the man and flew over to the water and slowly dropped him in. The man sank into the river quietly and John levitated back to the driver seat on the coach and took hold of the reins of the two horses and waited for the ferryman to tell him to move forward.

Inside the coach, Maria and Christine were both paying close attention to the man they had their dirks held against. Carolyne had moved to the center of the seat and was dividing her attention to both sides of the coach. Jeanette materialized on the seat close to the right side of the coach and the man jerked back. His eyes became so big; Jeanette thought they might explode from his face. He spoke in a voice that could be heard by all the people on the ferry. “THIS IS MAGIC, YOU ARE WITCHES.” Maria could not stop herself and poked the dirk into the man’s neck. He choked and gagged and blood came from his mouth and of course from his neck. Jeanette bent forward very quickly and touched the man and he disappeared before any blood could spill onto the interior. Maria sat back in shock. She had battled the Burnsacka and killed some but this was different for some reason. Christine had almost stuck the man herself when he reacted and now she moved to Maria and took hold of her. The coach began to move and they heard the hooves of the horses clomping onto the wooden ferry.

Otto took Jubel and Devlin to the left of the coach while Nathan and Leif went to the right. They had stayed behind the entire coach until it began to move onto the ferry. They all had drawn their swords and were moving into battle at this point. They had heard the shrill voice of the man inside the coach and knew this would be a moment for the other robbers to make their move. The throng of people had all turned and stood in wonder at the words that came from the coach and as it began to move onto the ferry they began to scream and move toward the sides away from horses and the coach. As Nathan and Leif came around the right side of the coach they encountered two men who had heard the voice of whoever was on the coach and had drawn their weapons. Nathan had seen them let go of their horses so he figured they were bandits. He and Leif both waded into the onrush of these men and engaged them in sword play. There were three more horses toward the front of the ferry and three more men came barging their way through the crowd yelling at them to get out of the way. They had drawn their swords and were swinging them as they ran toward the coach. Otto and Jubel were just passing the horses and saw the bandits cut down at least two innocent people as they crashed their way through. Devlin had stopped at the coach and quickly asked if everyone was okay before continuing forward. Carolyne was sitting close to the window and told him yes. As he continued forward she opened the door and jumped to the deck. Jeanette did not have time to stop her before she went out of sight.

Nathan swung his sword at the first bandit and their steel clanged loudly as sparks shot off into different directions. After a few moments Nathan’s sword found its mark and the man fell to the deck with a loud UGG. The man’s sword hit the deck and lay still as did the man. Leif swung into a big Viking and they both fell back toward the front of the ferry. The big man had a double bladed axe and he was swinging it like a mad man. Leif managed to knock it away with his sword but the big man almost knocked his sword from his hand and Leif knew this man was going to hack him if he did not end this quickly. His sword cut the arm of the big man who screamed and seemed to be rejuvenated with blood coming from his arm. He had fallen back but charged Leif now with fury in his eyes. Leif ducked the swing of the axe and caught the big man across his midsection with his sword as he twisted to the side. The Viking doubled over but came back up and swung his axe in a round house movement. Leif turn at the last moment and dropped to his knees while holding up his sword to block the axe as it swung toward him. If he would have remained standing he would have lost his head. His sword clanged off the handle of the axe and caught the big man on his wrist. The axe fell from the man’s hand as Leif’s sword fell from his grip. Leif rolled to his side and came back up with his dirk in hand. He fell against the big man and they both went down to the deck. He pushed the Dirk into the man’s chest and spoke into his face as the knife plunged up to its hilt. “I am sorry you will not reach Valhalla from this life.” Leif watched the life escape from the man’s eyes as he pulled his dirk from his chest. He started to stand and felt the twinge of pain on his left leg. He looked down and saw the gash across his thigh. Nathan bent over and grabbed his arm. Leif looked up at him and saw Jeanette standing next to his side. He saw her touch his arm.

Otto was the first to engage the bandits. He swung his sword at the first one that had killed two innocent people as he ran toward the coach. The man blocked his swing and the metal rang out. Otto sidestepped the man and as he went by with his momentum he back stabbed the sword into the man’s side. The man screamed and stumbled forward away from Otto. Jubel had engaged the second man and began a parry, duck and dance around with him as their swords clanged together. The third man was aiming for Otto when he stopped suddenly and tried to turn. His eyes were blank as he looked down and saw the sword being pulled from his side. John had jumped down from the seat when he saw Otto and Jubel run by. He saw one of the ladies from the coach run by in a crouch and then she disappeared into the crowd. When he jumped down Devlin almost ran into him and he quickly told him to follow the lady that had come from the coach. He stood for a moment and watched Otto engage the first bandit and then Jubel dancing around with the second one. It was at that moment when Otto had back stabbed the first one that he saw the third bandit coming up behind Otto. He quickly made his way around Jubel and his opponent and came in from the side to intercept the third man. His decision to stick the man was made because he could see that the man was going to stick Otto in the back. His sword buried into the man’s side and he watched the glazed look as the man tried to turn. He pulled his sword out and the man fell to the side and lay still. Otto started to move toward him when he felt the burning in his shoulder. He dropped to his knees and saw Otto come to him. The pain was excruciating and he was very close to passing out when Jeanette bent down and looked into his eyes. “We are getting married today my love and you are not going to die here in this land of the past and she touched him.

At the front of the ferry Cathella MacGregor had watched the activity. She and her sister CH-EHZSaa had hatched the plot to rob the ferry, knowing that it would be full of people coming to the fair who would have money to buy animals and grains and clothing. She was good with a bow while her sister was good at deception. The men they had as part of their band were all ex-soldiers and/or warriors that had been banned from the MacGregor clan at one time or another. She had climbed to the high point on the bow of the ferry and watched as her men were cut down by a group of strangers that none of them had counted on or even knew about. It really wasn’t much of a loss to her yet she would have to go without the money they would have stolen. The closest man of the strangers to her she could kill with her bow. So she took aim and loosed an arrow. It hit the man in the high shoulder so she was loading another shot when a dirk seemed to grow from her chest just below the bottom of her neck. She coughed and gagged and choked as she fell from the bow into the river. Carolyne had seen this in her dream learning place. When she left the coach, she made he way toward the bow of the ferry. She could not see the woman at first but then there she was climbing to the high part. She watched her place an arrow to her bow and shoot it. She looked toward the stern and saw it hit one of the men that she knew was here to help. That is when she took aim and threw the dirk into the woman before she could shoot another arrow. The young man she had seen, ask if they were alright showed up beside her and asked if he could escort her back to the coach. She took his arm and they walked through the crowd toward the coach.

The people on the ferry were in awe and stood to one side or the other as Devlin and Carolyne walked toward the coach. They had seen the fighting and the woman make two of the strangers disappear. That was frightening to them because they were thinking she must be a witch or sorcerer of some kind. Black magic was to be feared in this day and age. Otto had seen John go down and made his way toward him when Jeanette stood in front of him. She bent down and said something quietly to him and then touched him. He disappeared in an arc of light and the crowd gasped. He turned to find Jubel, Nathan and Leif. He had seen Devlin go to the front of the ferry and caught site of him and the woman from the coach walking back. He could not see Nathan or Leif but he saw Jubel standing against the rail of the ferry holding his sword on a man.

The man was leaning against the rail and had blood on his midsection. Jubel was also bleeding from his upper arm that was not holding the sword. As he walked toward Jubel the wounded man fell over the rail into the water. Jubel then sank down the rail to his knees. Otto hurried and knelt down beside him. Jubel did not look at him but said in a strained voice. “He managed to stick me before I could disarm him. I did stick him pretty good though.” As he spoke he spit up some blood and Otto told him to not speak “take it easy, you’ll be okay.” Jeanette bent down and touched him and he disappeared. Otto stood and looked at her. “Is it time to go home?” “Well dear Captain, will you ride with Devlin and drive us to the fair. I do believe that we ladies will feel much more secure while we shop for our dresses. Do not worry, when we go back the time will not have passed very much. All your men, our men, fought valiantly and these people will now go to the fair in peace.” Otto smiled and they walked to the coach. Devlin was just helping Carolyne up through the door and waited for Jeanette to step forward. “My lady” he said as he held out his hand. She took it and stepped up into the coach. The ferryman and his helper showed up and told them that the ferry would be arriving at the far bank soon enough and what would they like to do with the horses that were abandoned. Otto told the man that he should keep the horses as payment for the ride. The ferryman smiled and bowed to him and said “thank you kind sir. I will keep the people clear so your coach can unload first. They are in fear of the lady who makes men disappear and will not approach the coach, so be safe and good journey.”

On the far bank the ferry tied off and Devlin snapped the reins for the horses to move. He drove the coach off the ferry and onto the wide road that seemed to lead into a thriving city. He pulled the coach over to the side that seemed to be some kind of park and locked the wheels. He and Otto climbed down and came to the side. “Would you ladies like to give your legs a stretch while we figure out where we are going? This place looks safe enough for now.” Carolyne was the first to climb down while Otto held out his hand for her to balance herself. She stepped down onto the cobble stone and looked around. The fog had cleared away when they drove further from the river so the landscape was much more visible. It was like being in a dream to see the quaint stone and wood buildings. The trees were very large old oak mixed with Birch and some willow. They all walked for a few minutes onto a grassy knoll with a giant oak casting shade all around for many yards from its base. Carolyne was first to introduce herself. I am Carolyne Johnson and I really must thank you for coming to our rescue. I am so sorry that your companions were hurt, but they did fight like warriors.” Christine was next and said “hello, I am Christine Maddox and I too must thank you.” Maria was last but she was still in shock it seemed. “I,I,I am Maria Lovejoy and I am so sorry.” Jeanette moved to her quickly and held her while she broke down in tears. Christine and Carolyne both gathered close and placed their presence into her. They all stood until Maria settled down and then they sat down on the grass

In the kitchen at the farm house Debra and the two girls were talking about the flower arrangements. Hattie had come down for some tea and hugged them all. “That girl is acting like she is in shock or something so I am helping her get ready. I suspect you all will be getting ready soon. Where are the others?” Debra started to say something when Marni, Megan and Hanna walked through the back door. “Ah, here you are then. Where is Jeanette?” Hanna quickly told them all that Jeanette was in the past gathering some more clothing and she should be back soon. Debra stood up and gave a hug to the three. Hattie did the same and took Marni’s hand. “You must come with me. Your daughter is being distant today, of all days, I think she needs you.” Rene’ glanced at Ursula and they both smiled. It was at that moment that Nathan and Leif showed up in the living room. Leif was lying down with Nathan on his knees next to him. They all saw the blood on Leif’s leg and his hands and spattered across his tunic. A split second later a sword materialized on the floor next to Leif. All Hattie could say was “What in blue blazes?” as she moved toward the two men.

Rene’ and Ursula knew what was happening almost immediately and both ran over to Leif. It was at that moment that Johansson showed up in the living room as well and he was kneeling. Debra gasped and was by his side in a split instant. She could see that he was starting to blackout and grabbed his face with both of her hands and said “stay with us John, stay with us.” John had thought it was Jeanette speaking at first and then began to realize that he was in the farm house of the present and it was his sister-in-law that was holding his face. Hanna had come over and looked at the arrow sticking out of his upper shoulder. “We got to get this out.” She looked around at Ursula who was cupping her hands over the gash in Leif’s leg. She saw the light and turned back to Johansson. She grasped the arrow and was going to pull it out but Rene’ stopped her and gently removed her hand. At that moment the 5 boys came through the back door and moved into the living room. Lonny saw what was happening and grabbed Henry as he moved to his Uncle John. Rene’ gathered close and all three of them touched John. The light from each one came to a point and the arrow latterly fell out of John’s shoulder. They all watched as the wound healed over and John fell back. The three children caught him and levitated him to the couch where they laid him gently down. Leif was watching Ursula and his leg suddenly stopped hurting. He had some minor cuts on his hands and arms and Ursula looked into his eyes and began to touch the cuts. It was like Leif was being taken through a tunnel that was cleansing him as he floated through. Nathan had sat back and watched. He knew that he could do the same thing as well as Galia could but to watch this little pixy heal his brother made him understand that they were all family and Leif suddenly sat up and asked “Where are Otto, Jubel and Devlin. And where are Jeanette and those other three women?”

At the moment that Leif asked his question, Jubel appeared on the floor close to John. He was unconscious and had blood oozing from a bad cut in his upper left arm. Marni hurried over and fell to his side. “Jubel my love, what have you been up to? Please come back. Little Jubel had moved to his grandpa’s other side and Megan was lowering herself next to him. She reached out and wrapped her arms around the boy while tears flowed from her eyes. The other four boys and both girls moved to the foot of Jubel and Rene’ spoke “you must let us encircle him please; Darma has sent him to us to heal him. His wounds are far greater than we can see. Marni was reluctant for a moment to leave her husbands side but Waji spoke into her mind and consoled her. We must encircle him, he is far away and only we can bring him back. He has a death wound in his back and Darma knows that we must become one to retrieve him from the start over place. Please mother Marni let us bring him home. Marni fell back and scooted away. Megan had been spoken to also and told that Urial or little Jubel must become one with them. She let go of her son and moved back.

All of the adults moved to a place in the living room and watched the 7 children form a circle around Jubel. They all could see the children’s chests began to light up as if a glow worm set a fire inside of them. Their lights became brighter until with a sudden rush, all the lights shot fourth and formed a tube in the center over Jubel. The same sort of light shot up from Jubel’s chest and became one in the tube of light that shot through the ceiling. The people that had arrived in the meadow for the party witnessed a very bright tube of light shooting into the heavens from where the farm house was located. The tube of light lasted for almost a minute and then shrank back down. Inside the house the tube of light came back through the ceiling and at the juncture where it had become one broke and moved back into each individual child and into the man on the floor. Jubel arched his back as the light fell into him and lay relaxed as he opened his eyes. He sat up and looked at the children as they all stepped aside and Marni almost fell on him in her enthusiastic rush to hold him. “Do we have any sea water; I am so very thirsty after that exhilarating adventure.” Megan had to laugh with relief and moved to the refrigerator to fetch a glass of the sea water that was in a large pitcher. Hanna did the same and it became contagious for everyone in the room. The children all moved toward the back door and as soon as they were off the porch they held hands and began to move in a circle while they lifted from the ground. The laughter could be heard all the way out into the meadow and the folk out there began to chuckle and laugh. This was going to be a great party.

William Nathanial Hunter stood close to the fire with his men. Leif was close beside him. “I don’t know what happened, Julian and I were coming back from the smithy when the two bandits attacked us Julian fought bravely and killed the second man but he did not say anything about his wound. If he dies now with "Gyel-AYSH” and I getting wed in just a few hours, she will be devastated. You know he has been like a father to her.” Leif grabbed his arm and said “wait what is this, my lord?” Nathanial watched as 7 small children walked into the camp. He did not know what they were doing but they walked to Julian who was lying on a stack of blankets and stood while the healer stood up and moved away. Nathanial started to move and asked what they were doing when a voice in his head told him to wait and watch. The children encircled Julian and held hands. The light from their chests lit up the night sky and then shot forth into a tube directly above Julian. A light then came from him and joined the main tube and shot into the sky. A short time later the light shrank back into the children and Julian and they broke apart and left the camp. Julian woke and asked what they were all doing. The laughter could be heard around the camp and the wedding grounds.

On the grassy knoll under the huge oak tree, Jeanette told them that they would go to the fair and find the dresses they wanted for the wedding. “Otto, you and Devlin will drive us to this place,” and she showed them an image in their minds, “and once we are within the crowd we will be safe until we come home. I will send you both back so you can prepare for the party.” They all had to laugh and Jeanette phased out and in and handed a new dirk to Carolyne. “It would appear you know very well how to use one of these.” Another laugh and finally they all returned to the coach and headed toward the fair. As they all stood at the side of the coach, Jeanette said to Otto and Devlin, Look for us right behind you. We will show up in the barn and I am sending you to the house first.”

She reached over to touch each of them and Otto shook his head as he saw the crowd of people in the living room. Devlin was almost bowled over by Megan. Otto saw that Leif, Johansson and Jubel were all healthy and drinking some refreshments. Nathan was sitting at the table with Hanna and Marni and Hattie. Hattie was standing up and saying to Marni. “Come, now that everybody is safe and back we must attend to Galia. Debra walked up to Otto and said softly to him. “Did you have a good time?” Otto wrapped his arms around her and gave her a big kiss. “Yes darling, I did have a wonderful adventure just like you said I should.” “Well I am glad you are back, you don’t suppose we could get Jeanette to take us both on a wild adventure together?” “I think we should ask her when she is back and free.”

The four women had walked the open market and finally came to a store front. The open front was about 6 feet wide and they could see that someone would pull some kind of gate closed when ever the place was shut for night. Outside there were racks made of wood and they were full of garments. Mostly the Kirtles that were worn by women and small female children and there was a rack that had tunics for men and small boys. The tunics were of different lengths and colors and were just a taste of what might be inside the stone building. Jeanette had backed away from the front and looked up. She saw the sign that said “Tailor/seamstress and cordwainer” so she walked right in. The other three followed her and soon enough they found an area that displayed dresses and gowns of many colors and designs. Jeanette told the three ladies what the color scheme was to some degree so each of them looked and fitted with their eyes until each had found what they were looking for. They found a room that was a dressing room and after trying on the gowns they picked out they all searched for some nice shoes or boots and finally they were done. Carolyne spoke softly to Jeanette and asked her how they were supposed to pay for all of this. Jeanette told her not to worry and stood behind a rack for a split second and then led them all to the front where the owner or attendant was.

They laid everything on a wooden table top and the attendant made the comment “looks as if you ladies will be attending a wedding, might I be right about that?” Jeanette spoke and said “why yes kind sir although it will be some distance from here. We have come to the fair to find these gowns because we were told that your specific shop was one of the finest in all the Highlands and the lowlands.” The attendant, who indeed was the owner, blushed as he felt his way through the clothing and the shoes or boots. “May I ask where you hale from then?” “Yes you may kind sir; we are of the Clann an t-Sealgair and shall return to our town after today.” The man smiled and stayed silent until he had counted the gowns and boots. “You know that we provide the Ceinture’s free with these gowns and we also have a wide selection of broaches.” “Ah yes” and with that Jeanette turned to Maria and waved her hand. Maria stepped forward and laid the Ceinture’s on the counter. “Ah and a fine choice you have picked, these go well with the gowns, so what about the broaches then?” Jeanette looked at the man and smiled, “we have are own broaches befitting our clan, but thank you kind sir for asking. May I inquire what the price will come to?” The man told her which she thought was a bit high but she had taken enough from the Crookston Castle and would not be taking any with her except one full Pund Scots. She reached into her purse and pulled out the right amount of gold coins and looked at the man with smiling eyes. “You sir have been very accommodating to four ladies from another town so I will give you some extra if you can supply us with four of you baskets to carry our goods in.” The man almost fell over himself and said “of course my lady, I am remiss in my duties. Please except my apologies.” Jeanette enjoyed talking and bantering with these people, “no mind to apologize kind sir,” and with that she pulled out everything she had left in the purse except for the one full Pund Scots and placed it all on the counter. “We shall take our leave then and thank you.” Outside the store, Jeanette led the three others to a place that was semi secluded and asked them to touch her. The little boy that was sitting against the wall watched the four ladies walk into the alleyway and hug each other and then disappear. The only thing left was a purse with one full Pund Scots in it.

In the year 2037 on a bright sunny day, in Glasgow Scotland, CH-EHZSaa MacGregor found herself sitting on a seat in some kind of coach with windows along each side. There were other people on the coach and it was long with many seats. She looked out of the window and down at the river. She was not on the ferry and the coach was moving very fast. She stood up and moved to the other side quickly and saw other coaches moving on some kind of road that crossed the river. She was lost; she was confused and turned her head around to look at the other people. This did not make sense to her. Where was her brother, where was her sister. These people were dressed funny. It was very strange to her. She felt for her dirk but it was gone. She remembered the witch and the other women that she had taken aboard to rob. The coach was approaching the ferry and she knew her men and brother and sister were probably already aboard. As she looked out the window again she could see the river but the coach was already on the other side. All she could see were tall buildings such that she had never seen before and the little coaches buzzing by. The big coach began to slow down and then came to a stop. She heard a whooshing sound and them some people got up and left the coach. She hurriedly stood up and found the door. She climbed down and stood on a hard surface. There were other people moving around, walking to and fro and then the coach door closed and the thing moved forward away from where she was standing. She could see no horses, pulling the thing nor were there any horses pulling any of the coaches rushing by both ways on the road.

She began to walk along the road, on one side of her were tall buildings and the other side was the busy road with the horseless coaches. People were walking at her and from behind and some were using a foreign language as they walked around her. She thought she could here a dialect of Scottish but the words were gibberish to her. Someone bumped her and she stumbled. She almost fell to the hard surface but someone else grabbed her and balanced her fall. She turned to look into the face of a man that looked like one of the roosters she had at the village. He had bright red hair but it was only about 2” wide and ran from his forehead to the back of his head. It was tall and on each side his head was bald. The man spoke to her but she could not understand him. He finally took her by the arm and walked her into an alleyway away from the road. This little road was dark and wet and had boxes of some kind sitting along the sides. The man pulled her roughly further into the dark road and after a few minutes dragged her behind one of the funny boxes. He tried to lift her kirtle as she was pushed against a building. She could see what he meant to do and brought her knee up into his groin. The man bent over and yelled words that she did not understand. She was getting ready to run from him when she felt the burning of a knife in her stomach. She lay on her back and looked straight up at the blue sky. It was like looking up from a deep hole in the ground. She was lying in a puddle of water and the burning in her stomach was becoming numb. The darkness was closing around her vision as she thought about what she and her sister and brother had done to other people and here she was in a very strange place where someone else did to her the same thing she did to others. Her last thought, vision was of the woman that spoke to her in the coach just before she woke up in this strange world and thus a woman of the past died in the future.

A WEDDING OF PAST AND PRESENT (PART 3) (COLLIDING DIMENSIONS)

Galia was sitting on the bench in front of her vanity looking at the woman in the mirror. Something had been happening to her since she first tried on Hattie’s dress. It was as if she was in the past as well as the present. The first experience had placed her inside a stone building preparing to wed Nathan. His name was Nathanial at that wedding. She knew that she and he had been together before and many times. Her memories were not clear of other times but it seemed that there were many triggers in this time. First the dress and it kept being a trigger each time she was close to it or put it on. When Hattie brushed her hair it was yet another trigger. The more she thought about it all she was led back to the meeting of the Kelly family. Rene’ had triggered her and when she made the flowers down at Hattie’s it seemed to bring the wedding of past and present closer together. It was as if the closer the day came for the actual wedding, the closer her past came to her present. Looking at herself in the mirror gave her the real feeling that she was two separate people that were moving toward each other to inevitably become one. The entire medieval theme of this wedding was connected. She had visions of the wedding in that time period. She had visions of being a child and loosing her parents and brothers and being enslaved to Vikings. It all seemed surreal at times. Jeanette was somehow a center figure. In fact, the encounter with Nathan and then getting his mother, Jeanette from Brisbane, now that she thought deeper, it was meant to happen. Everything was meant to happen. The wedding was nothing more than a party. She and Nathan had already bonded but the wedding was bringing her past to the present.

Galia opened her eyes and stared at the woman in the mirror. The woman moved to the edge of the glass and reached her hand through to touch herself on the other side. Galia pushed the bench back quickly; Gyel-AYSH pushed her seat back from the mirror quickly and stood up. She could see the woman in the mirror doing the same. She had tried to reach through the glass and the woman on the other side had tried to do the same but the static shock had made her push backward. Her maid came into the room and rushed to her, “my lady what is wrong, you look as if you have seen a spirit. Here let me help you sit down, I will get some water for you.” Hattie and Marni came through the door and quickly rushed to Galia’s side. “What is the matter with you girl, you are acting very spooky today.” Marni wrapped her arms around her daughter and said “its alright baby, every woman gets the jitters on her wedding day. Let me get some tea and perhaps something to settle your stomach. You are as white as a ghost.” Galia didn’t say anything, she just nodded. Marni and Hattie helped her to sit on the edge of the bed and Marni went to fetch some tea and a piece of the pie that Debra had brought.

The four women materialized in the barn. Jeanette had brought them forward after she had sent Otto and Devlin back. She wanted to give time for the 7 children to heal Jubel or Julian as he was known in the time of 1262. Everything was coming together faster now that it was the day of the wedding. She had known what was going to happen when she went to get Carolyne, Christine and Maria. They were all part of the past moving toward the present. The incident with the agents the night before was part of the past but she wasn’t sure how it would play out because she had changed the present by asking John to marry her. She had married him before but it was after the wedding of Nathan and Galia or to be more truthful Tias and Kali. When she had visited the Kellies for breakfast those few mornings ago and John was there, she was not sure what was happening. Something or someone had changed her life in this time of living. She had thought to perhaps change the wedding day but instead was compelled to become a part of it this time. Hava and Luun and the 7 children were instrumental in meshing the past with present. What would happen to her and John she did not know and it was almost exciting to her now because she didn’t know but was looking forward to an unknown.

She turned to Carolyne, Christine and Maria and said “ladies, you should go to the house and prepare yourselves for the wedding. I think the families are all in there at the moment. Your daughters will be at the joining as you all know. I have one more errand to run and I shouldn’t be long. All three women smiled and giggled as they hitched their baskets of goodies and walked toward the back porch. Jeanette smiled and then giggled herself as she entered the no-time and stepped into the time in Gyel-AYSH’s room. The ladies maid was consoling the girl. Gyel-AYSH looked shaken but was beginning to calm as she sipped on a cup of hot tea. The Maid jumped up when she saw Jeanette, “Oh my lady Jeanne d' Lafayette, please excuse me I did not see you come in.” Jeanette smiled and said “no matter Fiona, might you leave us for a few minutes, I must have words with the lady.” Fiona bowed and left the room.

Gyel-AYSH turned and said “oh Jeanne, I am so afraid. I am seeing another woman in the mirror that is me but she moves forward when I do not move. I wonder if she is a spirit. If I tell Nathanial this he might think I am possessed.” Jeanette sat down next to her on the bench and said “you are not possessed Gyel-AYSH, you are merely seeing yourself, but I must tell you that it is you in another time and today you will be one with her. You will be one with Nathanial. Do not be afraid of the other you in the mirror. You and she will come together the moment you and Nathanial bond in the ceremony. He is having visions of himself also and it is to be this way until you and he are one. Now you must let Fiona prepare you and know this, the other you is doing the same.” Gyel-AYSH dried her eyes again with the cloth and hugged Jeanette. Jeanette reached into the small pouch she was wearing and pulled a pin/broach from it. “Pin this on your dress; it is a bridge for you and Nathanial. It stands as your bond and your self of the future will have the same.” Gyel-AYSH took the pin and looked at it. It was a ring of gold with what looked like two words connected in the circle. She could not read the words but Jeanette folded her hand over the broach and smiled. “You will come to know these words after you bond with Nathanial and you will understand. Now get prepared, today is a joyous day, I must leave and I will see you at the festivities.” With that she kissed Gyel-AYSH on the cheek, stood and walked from the room. Fiona came in shortly and said “come my lady we are going to be late if we do not hurry now, time is short. You must get into your gown.”

Jeanette stepped into time in her bedroom at the cottage and sat on her bed. She cried with joy for all the things that happened to her. She took her shower and dressed in her wedding gown. She had picked out a maroon gown that semi matched the style of the emerald green gown that Galia would be wearing. The skirt flowed similar but the bodice was stitched or laced from the lower part to the top of the bosom line. The back had a low line like the front and the sleeves ended just above the elbow. It was a simple dress. She had picked the colors for John’s tunic to match and his trousers were made of a darker color of linen. She had decided to wear a finer Ceinture of a color that accentuated the gown. It was long enough to hang just shy of the full length hem line. Rene’ and Ursula had already made a tiara of flowers for her that would flow with her brownish blond hair. She had braided her hair into one long piece that hung down her back and as she checked herself in the mirror she caught a glimpse of herself, moving differently. She froze and waited a moment but the image of her moved again closer to the surface of the mirror. She could see herself or the other woman talking yet could not hear what she was saying. Something was different.

She shivered and retrieved the small purse that held the broaches for Carolyne, Christine and Maria and opened a drawer where the broach/pin was that was the same one she gave to Gyel-AYSH in the past. The broach was a bridge, a bond. The ring of gold had a bar through its middle. On the top of the bar was the word Tias and on the bottom was the word Kali. The names were formed in such a way as to connect through the bar. She had told Gyel-AYSH that she would understand and know the words when she and Nathanial were bonded. She would say the same to Galia. When she looked back into the mirror all she saw was her own reflection. The air felt cold and as she looked around there was a feeling of wrongness. She quickly entered the no-time and stepped into the hall outside Galia’s bedroom just as Marni came out.

Marni almost bumped into Jeanette as she came from the bedroom. She stopped abruptly and reached for Jeanette to keep from bowling her over. “Oh Jeanette, I’m so sorry, I had no idea you were standing here.” Jeanette reached out and took a hold of Marni and smiled. “That is okay Marni; I have come to give something to Galia for the wedding. I will go and help Hattie until you get back.” Marni sidestepped and rushed down the hall. “I’ll be right back and you look beautiful.” Jeanette walked into the bedroom and stopped abruptly. Galia was standing in front of her vanity and Hattie was standing behind her trying to pull her backward. Jeanette was not standing in a position to see directly into the mirror but she could see the arm reaching out. She hurried over to stand between Galia and the mirror. “Hattie, hold her back, this woman is not from our past, and I think she may be from a different dimension. She turned and looked straight at the woman in the mirror and spoke in the old Gaelic tongue. “You must not come here.” Hattie and Galia could see the other woman in the mirror as she was grabbed by an older woman who pulled her from the room. Galia, Hattie and Jeanette could only see their own reflection in the mirror suddenly.

Jeanette hurried to the bed and pulled the blanket from it and threw it over the mirror. Galia fainted and Hattie moved her to the bed. “What in blue blazes is happening, is that some kind of spirit?” Jeanette was starting to understand now. This could be an effect of her doing a different thing for this wedding. The fact that she was going to be a part of the wedding party and get married at the same time had somehow caused the past and present wedding of Galia and Nathan to become transparent to a different dimension. An opening had been created between this dimension of past and present and a different dimension with its past and present and they were on a collision course. She had no idea of how the wedding takes place in the other dimension. The children were seeing their past images as two separate beings and trying to connect. Instead of the past connecting with the present in this dimension as had always been the norm, the past of another dimension was trying to connect with the present of this dimension. The thoughts of this were overwhelming because she thought what if there are other dimensions that are opening up? She stopped herself before she would become catatonic in those thoughts which would not help.

She was starting to understand only a fraction of this phenomenon but it appeared that Galia was now in four parts and so was Nathan or at the least two of each in two separate dimensions. The Gyel-AYSH of the past in the other dimension was trying to connect with Galia of the present in this dimension while Galia of the present in the other dimension was trying to connect with Gyel-AYSH of the past in this dimension. She wondered if all the other folks involved in this wedding might be experiencing the same thing. It all seemed so convoluted. The mirror seemed to be a gateway or hole. She wondered if there were other gateways and what they might be. She knew or so she thought that people from another dimension could not touch those from this dimension and visa versa or the two dimensions could possibly collapse and/or cease to exist or the people would do the same. So far this was happening to Galia and her, and she wondered how she might fit into the infinity of dimensions. Again she shut the runaway thoughts off and turned to Hattie.

“Hattie, keep her away from this mirror and you and Marni get her ready. Be aware that the other person could come through anywhere. I have to find Nathan. This in not happening the way it should. There is an opening between dimensions of the past and the present and the dimensions are on a collision course. Without the opening these dimensions would be fine but you see what is happening? No maybe you don’t. All I can say is the outcome is not going to be good for any of us and quite possibly the world.” Hattie did not understand what Jeanette was saying but she could fathom that something was really wrong. Jeanette left the room hurriedly. Hattie heard her saying something to Marni and then Marni came through the door. “We got to get her dressed. I heard some of what Jeanette said about the dimensions and a tear in the fabric between the two and I know something about that. We must hurry.”

Jeanette stopped long enough in the living room to tell everyone to hurry and get ready. “We may be in for a very bad storm. It appears that there is an opening between two dimensions and people from that one are trying to enter this one. We got to get Galia and Nathan out to the meadow.” John had seen Jeanette come from the back bedrooms and rushed to her side. “What can I do?” Jeanette wanted to kiss him but she asked “where is Nathan, has anybody seen him?” Leif stood up and said “he was going out to the meadow to see how everyone was doing. He was dressed and ready as we all are, I’ll go get him.” Jeanette looked at Carolyne and Christine. Can you get Hava and Luun here? We are going to have to get this wedding going sooner than we thought. Where are the children?” By this time everybody in the room was up and alert. Everyone had dressed in their medieval cloths and the men’s clothes had been repaired. They seemed to be ready but this new urgency was spooky. There definitely was something happening in the air it was the feeling of static electricity or something. Jubel said “the children went to the ocean earlier but they should be back by now.” Jeanette was trying her best to remain calm but she could feel clearly now that two dimensions were on a collision course and all they could do to stop it and have the smooth connection of the past and present in one dimension was to get everybody out to the meadow and perform the bonding. She grabbed her dress and hiked up the hem so she could run and went out the back door with John and Leif both on her heals.

Nathan was halfway through the field when something raised the hair on his neck. He turned around and standing 10 feet from him was himself and another man that looked like Leif. They looked like they were standing on the other side of mirror that was watery and wavy. They were talking at him but he could not hear them. There was a sound of wind and he saw the man who looked like Leif unsheathe his sword and try to walk toward him. He drew his own sword and at the same time the image of himself drew his sword. He did not move and neither did his image. However the image of Leif was moving slowly toward the mirror. He was getting ready to move forward when Leif walked by him toward the mirror and the other Leif. He heard his mother raise her voice against the high wind sound. “Do not engage either of these two; they are from a different dimension.” Nathan watched in bewilderment as the image of his mother and John walked up behind his image and Leif’s. “You must get to the meadow; Galia is being brought by the others and we need to get the children there.”

As she spoke, Leif began to move slowly once again toward his image as it was moving toward the watery, waving mirror. Jeanette hurried past Nathan and grabbed Leif’s arm. “You must not go there. I am afraid if you touch him or he touches you, your existence will cease.” Leif was having a very hard time fighting the urge to stop his image from coming any further. He finally noticed that his image had stopped and was standing still watching him. Jeanette’s image was standing next to him. He could see them talking but could not hear them. He turned to face Jeanette and she was starring at herself. She turned quickly and said “John, find the children and get them to the meadow. Rene’ and Ursula should understand what is happening so they might already be out there, I will bring these two. Do not stop for anything, you will be confronted by yourself but he will be from the other dimension and he will be doing almost the same thing you are doing. Hurry darling everything is getting closer.” John took off running and all of a sudden Otto, Jubel and Devlin came running over. “Hurry this thing is getting worse” Otto said as they ran up to them. Devlin and Jubel danced around them and said “let’s go.” Otto quickly said “The women are on there way, they are bringing Galia” and then he started to run to catch up with Devlin and Jubel. Jeanette grabbed Nathan and yelled at Leif to help her. Nathan was being drawn toward the opening so she and Leif had to take him by the arms and move toward the meadow.
