CNN has a new article, http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/23/us/feat-n ... index.html
which claims that NASA has located a planet in the Cygnus constellation, which according to the article is earthlike (60% larger),
and of course being located in the so called "Goldilocks Zone" (otherwise known as the habitable zone) makes it a prime candidate for hosting life.

It's not been announced whether the Keppler images indicate water. They're keeping mum on that, but did say that they suspect this is a very rocky planet.
The planet, Kepler-452b, is about 1,400 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cygnus. It's about 60% bigger than Earth, NASA says, and is located in its star's habitable zone -- the region where life-sustaining liquid water is possible on the surface of a planet.
It takes 385 days for the planet to orbit its star, very similar to Earth's 365-day year, NASA said. And because it's spent so long orbiting in this zone -- 6 billion years -- it's had plenty of time to brew life, Jenkins said.
You know what's extremely strange about this?
Madeleine L'Engle, one of my favorite authors who recently passed away,
spoke in her children's fiction about a race of beings who are "dark/black, twice as tall as a human, from a high gravity plane/planet";
the example was Blajeny, a "teacher" who met with the Murry children on the "star watching rock" on their rural property --

Well the reason I mention Blajeny in a science thread is,
there are lots of star watching rocks that point at the Cygnus constellation.
People have intuitively felt the spirit link between our planet and theirs.
This connection is mirrored in the human mythology surrounding the role of the swan,
it is considered to be a messenger animal, and a servant of the gods,
because it masters many elements and moves between them with ease.

But back to the star watching rocks --
I googled "Cygnus" "megalithic sites", and it's pretty interesting when things like this come up:

The shape of the megalith

The Kings Stone represents the star
Deneb in Cygnus and shows birds
of various kinds from various perspectives.
It is a masterpiece of Stone Age art.

From the side-front
the entire megalith

and a smaller bird head

Deneb's distance isn't precisely known,
but thought to be around 2600 light years from earth.

The star around which the planet Kepler-452B orbits is by contrast, about 1400 light years from us.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kepler-452

Kepler-452 is a G-class star located about 1400 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus.[1] It has a similar temperature as the Sun, but is 20 percent brighter, four percent more massive and has a 10 percent larger diameter.[2][3] It is also 1.5 billion years older than the Sun, having an age of about six billion years.

The exoplanet Kepler-452b, orbiting in the habitable zone of Kepler-452, was discovered in July 2015 by the Kepler spacecraft.

7,500-YEAR-OLD STONE CIRCLE IN ARMENIA ALIGNED TO CYGNUS'S BRIGHTEST STAR

A Report by Andrew Collins, 20.04.10
Image
A new study into Armenia's Carahunge stone circle complex, has shown that it is arguably one of the oldest known megalithic sites outside of Turkey, dating to around 5500 BC. Moreover, investigations by Russian prehistorian Professor Paris Herouni indicate that Carahunge (car means "stone" in Armenian, and hunge means "voice" or "sound"), located some 200km from the Armenian capital Yerevan, not far from the town of Sisian, was created as an astronomical observatory marking the movement not only of the sun and moon, but also the stars.

Indeed, Herouni's work at Carahunge was impressive enough to draw in the expertise of the late Professor Gerald Hawkins, who was impressed by the thoroughness of the survey undertaken by his Russian colleague.

Key hole to Cygnus

More significant is that Carahunge's principal stellar alignment is towards Deneb, the bright star in the constellation of Cygnus the swan.

A number of the standing stones bear smooth angled spy holes that are 4 to 5cm in diameter, each one being angled towards different points on the horizon or ancient targets in the heavens.

A key stone had a hole that was focused due north towards the meridian. This suggested that it targeted a bright star at its culmination - i.e. the highest or lowest point it reaches as it revolves around the north celestial pole.

Before googling that, I'd searched for "life forms on high gravity planets"
yielding:

http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/vida_ ... oology.htm
Of course, gravity will affect design. In any given mass category high-gee animals should have shorter, stockier bones than those evolving in low-gee environments. To provide proper support, bone cross-section must increase directly with weight. Weight is the product of mass and gravity, so bone diameter must be proportional to the square root of gravity.

Let’s apply this to man. The typical human femur, the most perfectly cylindrical and largest single bone in our bodies, measures 3.5 centimeters in diameter. Using the above square-root relation, we find that the thigh-bone should increase to 4.9 cm on a two-gee world or shrink to 1.6 cm on a 0.2-gee planet for identical support of a 70 kg human body mass. Experiments have confirmed that animals reared in high gravity grow thicker bones, stronger hearts, and lose fat, but alien creatures will not appear wildly over- or underbuilt as compared with Earth life of equal mass.

Lastly a dark complexion such as Blajeny's would help combat the slightly higher brightness of Kepler-452.

From the Bible:
And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant.
And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

http://www.michaelsheiser.com/PaleoBabb ... tWorld.pdf
In the Levant, polydactylism—an excess of fingers or toes—was considered to be a mark of the Rephaim, a race of giants. If you were a giant, you apparently needed more fingers or toes. According to Genesis, the Rephaim were one of the peoples who lived in Canaan before the Israelite conquest (see Genesis 15:18–21). In Deuteronomy 3:11, we learn indirectly about the impressive stature of the Rephaim. Og, the last king of the Rephaim, possessed an iron bed “nine cubits long and four cubits wide.” A cubit is about 18 inches, so Og’s bed measured over 13 feet in length.

13 foot bed for a man nearly that tall.
And made of iron to support the weight of an offworlder!
At least, seems like it.

Giants from a rocky planet would be adept at mining.
They would have soon graduated from watching the stars to navigating them.

Weapons of Giants: Huge Bronze Axes Discovered in Denmark

Image

A pine tree farmer in Denmark has made an astonishing discovery: five enormous Bronze Age axe heads buried in a field near Nørre Snede in Jutland, Denmark. Did these weapons belong to the legendary giants that are said to have inhabited the area?

Norse mythology is rife in stories about an ancient race of violent giants known as the Jötnar. Banished to Jötunheimr by the ruling divinities (the Æsir), these giants were oftentimes hostile to mankind.

But is there any historical backing to these tales? As a matter of fact, many believe the presence of giants in worldwide mythology was inspired by a race of flesh-and-bone humanoids of giant statures.

Image

The axe heads measure 12 inches (30 centimeters) in length and each one weighs two pounds. Dating revealed they were made sometime during the 16th century BC, making them one of the oldest weapons of their kind discovered in Denmark. They are twice as heavy as axe heads usually are, suggesting that the men who wielded them must have been giant in stature.

The Flag of the Nordic Council is white, with a stylised circular motif of a white swan upon a blue (Pantone Reflex Blue C) disk. The Swan has enough wing feathers standing for the eight members and territories of the Council: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Åland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

The origin of the Swan symbol is the 5 Nordic swans, which appeared for the first time on a poster for 'Nordens Dag' ('Nordic Day') in 1936 based on Hans Hartvis Seedorff Pedersen's poem "The Nordic Swans".

In 1956, stamps illustrated with the 5 swans, although in different designs, were issued in the Nordic countries.

The Cygnus Mystery

The Cygnus Mystery

All around the world ancient peoples fixed the location of heaven in the same segment of sky, the constellation of Cygnus, the Swan. But why?

From Göbekli Tepe to the Great Pyramid to cutting edge of astrophysics, Andrew Collins sets out to find answers on an extraordinary historical quest to unravel the sky-religion of our most distant ancestors.

The Cygnus Mystery provides compelling evidence that …

- The veneration of Cygnus as a bird associated with cosmic life and death goes back 17,000 years to when the constellation occupied pole position in the northen night sky

- Cygnus is at the root of all the world's religions

- The origins of astronomy, literature, ancient cosmologies, even transoceanic sea voyages all occurred some 17,000 years ago

- Cosmic rays from a binary star known as Cygnus X-3 helped accelerate human evolution during the last Ice Age

- Traces the very DNA of life from shamanic art in Paleolithic caves to the foundations of the Great Pyramid, from psychedelic journeys in the Peruvian Amazon to Francis Crick's discovery of the double helix

- Reveals that our ancestors knew what science is now telling us - that life on Earth originated among the stars, a fact known and accepted by our ancestors

The March 2006 issue of ASTRONOMY NOW cites the findings of British anthropological writer Denis Montgomery. In 1995 he proposed that high levels of Beryllium-10 in the Antarctic and Greenland ice cores for a period of 2,000 years, c. 35,000 BP, argue that sudden transitions in human behaviour patterns around this time show that the two events are not exclusive to each other. Most obviously, the flowering of cave art in Western Europe, c. 32,500-30,000 BP, is a clear sign that something quite extraordinary was taking place (and, of course, c. 17,000-14,000 BP, when further high levels of Be-10 are present in the same ice cores).

Based on suggestions made by American and Russian scientists working on the Greenland and Antarctica ice cores at the beginning of the 1990s, Montgomery proposed that the source of the cosmic rays was a close supernova, most likely the one that caused the beautiful stellar debris caught on camera by the Hubble space telescope and known to astronomers as the Cygnus Veil, or Cygnus Loop. Located in the right wing of the celestial swan, the shock waves of this cosmic event were believed to have ripped open the Earth's protective layer of ozone, causing cosmic rays and ultraviolet radiation from the sun to rain down on the unsuspecting world beneath. For many years the exploding star would have been brighter than the full moon, making it a blinding light source that turned night into day.

Premature deaths, cancer and mutations would have resulted in both animals and humans on a massive scale. Yet very gradually the supernova would have burnt out, and an immunity achieved by the human survivors, our own Homo sapien ancestors, who were the successors of the less adaptable Neanderthal peoples.

Even though the 35,000 BP cosmic event highlighted by the Be-10 levels in the ice cores alluded to Montgomery is the same as the one proposed by the Meinel Institute, said by them to have taken place c. 40,000 years ago, the suspected source of the cosmic rays is unlikely to have been the Cygnus Veil, or Loop. This is now known to have been created when a dying super giant in this suspected binary system exploded into a supernova just 5,000 to 8,000 years ago. Moreover, at worst this spectacular event, which would have temporarily made it one of the brightest sources in the night sky, was far too distant to have affected life on Earth.

This reassessment of the Cygnus Veil comes from revised data regarding its distance, now thought to be around 1,400 light years away, instead of the presupposed 150 light years banded around in the early 1990s. Moreover, no other similar event is known to have occurred around 35,000-40,000 years ago, even though close supernovae cannot be ruled out as the cause of mass extinctions on Earth, either in the past or in the future.

Swan Symbolism

Because of its pure white color, the swan is a symbol of light in many parts of the world.

As a dream symbol, the swan can signify self transformation, intuition, sensitivity, and even the soul, the ‘higher Self’ within each person.

Though in some regions it was considered a feminine symbol of the moon, in most it was a masculine symbol of the sun. In ancient Greece, for example, the swan was linked to Apollo, the god of the Sun. The god Zeus took the shape of a swan to get close to Leda, with whom he had fallen in love. And in Celtic myth, a pair of swans steered the Sunboat across heaven. As a feminine symbol, the swan represents intuition and gracefulness, and goddesses such as Aphrodite and Artemis were sometimes accompanied by swans.

As a symbol in alchemy, the swan was neither masculine nor feminine, but rather symbolized hermaphroditism or ‘the marriage of the opposites’, fire and water. It was an emblem of mercury, as it was white and very mobile, because of its wings.

I think there's a pretty decent case for intelligent life in the Cygnus systems...
Heh!

Dear Ms. Fireball!

I can't keep up with you! Sitting in that beautiful energy of synchronicity that TELLS ALL! ADORE.

I have been digging into the inner fields of intelligence around all the megalithic sites in a rather directed manner and am finding that many of my friends of Spirit are too. My intent is after Saturday to have some times to compile a post sharing the message of Memory we are receiving.

Gotta love your Spirit and fire!

Christine

Thank you for reading it though, Christine!
What boggles my mind about astronomy and its related ecology is the math involved.
It was my weakest subject, next to history. So I have no idea really the pain these NASA folks go through,
reaching these conclusions by longhand and wringing readable articles out of that data.

However, it's super super interesting, the things we've learned quite recently from them and other space agencies,
about the moon Hyperion for example, and also Titan (the amazing 22nd pass of Casini really wowed them due to what it saw),
not to mention recent discoveries regarding the nature of Saturn and Mars, respectively.

I do think that it's very easy for them to fall in love with the HI RES pictures of nearby planets :)
I know for me it would be distracting. Nature though is a great inspiration.
Hopefully the people analyzing all this new data for them will be inspired by the beauty of the universe.

So many people down here on earth who don't care what's out there!
They try to make others not care... it's sad, even one of my professors in college,
tried to steer me away from writing about NASA... she had no foresight at all!

Regarding my disorganized sandbox thread, haha,
With my short memory, the tendency is to get it out there before it's gone,
but truly it could be shorn down from a coat to a sweater perhaps.

;)

This is why I don't yet sell Ebooks,
it needs to be in a readable format lol
