Wrestling with Wolves

This morning I awoke fairly suddenly. I'd collapsed into bed last night still wearing my boots and belt, lol. The lamp was on and i felt vaguely unrested yet glad to be up.

Remembered in the bathroom that I'd been dreaming.

***

In the dream, I'm sitting in rain flattened leaves on a even forest floor. The water has dried.

Suddenly I see motion, and the blur of a small but very unencumbered she wolf (?) comes hurtling from ahead and to the right.

She is a mixture of cinnamon fur and tabby green.

I am afraid to accept that i might end up fighting this wolf barehanded, and before i know it she's gained my left side and has turned to face me.

I put my arm & hand out to deflect teeth but feel dry fur followed by a soft play bite then wake up with a slightly stiff back.

Sounds like a good one :)
Whether the wolf appears in physical form or in a dream or meditation, it may reveal that you’re using your instincts and intuition to grasp a situation well. The fact that your wolf animal spirit guide shows up could also be a call to use this capacity to deal with a recent challenge you’ve experienced in your life.

Thank you. Life does have me feeling very backed into a corner, perhaps Madame Wolf was trying to cheer my piece of the Ring.

I'm scared of wolves & coyotes because of their great potential for harm, we have them here, but honestly they are among nature's most fascinating creatures.

It's weird that the dream came near Christmas rather than the week I was reading Call of the Wild.
