Dark Music :(

few tracks give such strange emotions as this one. at the beginning it gives you an idea of someone who gave up to the evil side of their personality, then the piano kicks in and it's like a glimpse of hope, innocence... but then it gets all dark again, till the end... Perfectly describes Laura and her life. Amazing work on this track.

The haunting "6 measure introduction" of this one would be my ringtone if I were technically inclined, my favorite:

Nice bit of suggestion there. Perhaps it gives YOU (or the author in case this was quoted from elsewhere) the perception of someone who gave up to their 'evil' side, but that's like describing the color 'red' as "Passionate, vibrant, etc.", which is entirely a biased qualification (I.e., subjective nonsense). Plus,... it's from Twin Peaks, it's supposed to be atmospheric and omenous.

If you want an example of individuals who have 'given up' to their 'evil' side (I'm using the terms bandied by those who DON'T get what is occurring), try THIS on for size.

Possible trigger warning,....

Something that needs be said (so I'll take the liberty):

The properties/characteristics of 'the dark' are NOT what they are purported, propagandized, and asserted as. The perception of those who identify as 'the light' OF 'the dark' are entirely in conflict with the ACTUAL dynamic of being of 'the dark'.

What's more, when one explores 'the dark', it becomes readily apparent that the dichotomy of 'light' and 'dark' is false propaganda in the first! Expressly and evidently, it is an information campaign (read: psyop) to discourage, bar, and otherwise incentivize those of 'the light' to avoid, discount, and otherwise flee ANYTHING related to the dark, but without any sort of honest or comprehensive analysis.

What does Einstein say about conclusion without investigation?

Mind you, 'investigation' doesn't mean "verifying that 'I' am right", that's like 'Christian science'; 'science' to fit a predisposed conclusion. Investigation involves throwing OUT bias (to the best of one's ability) and considering both viewpoints to verify which is logically and/or conclusively conducive.

And, the reason 'the dark' is so 'adverse' to those who are committed to 'the light' is due to the degree of literal ignorance that is part and parcel to 'the light'. Simply put, to commit entirely/exclusively to 'the light' is to engage in ignorance and self deception.

P.S. Personally - and contrary to popular opinion - I am not 'of' the 'dark' OR the 'light'; what most people see online of me is more TOWARD 'the dark', and that's entirely to due with the overwhelming preponderance of 'light' conviction, assertion, and advocacy (read: proselytizing). There are many in person who would be quite astounded to see how I express myself online, as are those online who would be astounded at how I express myself in person.

Gloomy Sunday

http://www.historicmysteries.com/gloomy ... cide-song/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The original Gloomy Sunday, written in 1932 by Rezső Seress, was known as the Hungarian Suicide Song and blamed for more suicides than any other song in history.

Lyrics (Literal Translation)

"On a sad Sunday with a hundred white flowers
I was waiting for you, my dear, with a church prayer
That dream-chasing Sunday morning
The chariot of my sadness returned without you.
Ever since then, Sundays are always sad
Tears are my drink, and sorrow is my bread.
Sad Sunday.
Last Sunday, my dear, please come along,
There will even be priest, coffin, catafalque, hearse-cloth.
Even then flowers will be awaiting you, flowers and coffin.
Under blossoming (flowering in Hungarian) trees
My journey shall be the last.
My eyes will be open, so that I can see you one more time
Do not be afraid of my eyes as I am blessing you even in my death.
Last Sunday."

In the original lyrics of Gloomy Sunday the singer is asking his dead lover to join him at his own planned funeral. The song seems to allude to suicide, as he longs to be with his love in the afterlife, and appears to be taking matters into his own hands to get there.

The song was released in English in 1936 with revised lyrics by Ray M. Lewis. This version clearly refers to suicide:

"Gloomy is Sunday, with shadows I spend it all
My heart and I have decided to end it all
Soon there’ll be candles and prayers that are sad I know
Let them not weep let them know that I’m glad to go"

How about a hauntingly beautiful piano piece
(No Blixa involved)

Darkness
~ Peter Gabriel

I'm scared of swimming in the sea
Dark shapes moving under me
(Mmm)
Every fear I swallow makes me small

Inconsequential things occur
Alarms are triggered
Memories stir

It's not the way it has to be

I'm afraid of what I do not know
I hate being undermined
I'm afraid I can be Devil Man
And I'm scared to be divine
Don't mess with me my fuse is short
Beneath this skin these fragments caught

When I allow it to be
There's no control over me
I have my fears
But they do not have me

Walking through the undergrowth
To the house in the woods
The deeper I go, the darker it gets
I peer through the window
Knock at the door
And the monster I was so afraid of
Lies curled up on the floor
Is curled up on the floor just like a baby boy
I cry until I laugh, ah

I'm afraid of being mothered
With my balls shut in the pen
I'm afraid of loving women
And I'm scared of loving men
Flashbacks coming in every night
Don't tell me every thing's alright

When I allow it to be
It has no control over me
I own my fear
So it doesn't own me

Walking through the undergrowth
To the house in the woods
The deeper I go, the darker it gets
I peer through the window
Knock at the door
And the monster I was so afraid of
Lies curled up on the floor
Is curled up on the floor
Just like a baby boy
I cry until I laugh, ah
Ah

Ahh
Ahh
