Old wolf:
We really don't know everything and unless we work the problems rather than jumping to conclusions or using supposition as a tool to justify our own beliefs, then we aren't actually going to deal with the problems and the problems will remain. The only way to solve a problem is to focus on the problem and find a specific solution to it.
In turn - assumptions regards others "jumping to conclusions".. is mere supposition.

Re: Betrayal and Abandonment
I snipped the longer bits and saved the main points of the OP, would very much appreciate an explanation of these original statements and the conditions which led to their adoption.Old Wolf wrote:Men feel abandoned and spend their lives searching for something to fill that hole.
Women feel betrayed and spend their lives seeking their betrayer.
It wasn't always this way.
Perhaps it's something that we've lost in modern society?
Each person has his or her own life experience,
so this talk of assuming etc. Has me scratching my head wondering where this discussion was intended to go.
Veering into the forest of It All Comes Down to Dominance and Power ingrained by failed childhood makes me feel old.
Sex is supposed to make people feel young.
Betrayal and abandonment happen to a lot of folks in many different forms.
Lose a job? A house? A marriage?
Or are we talking about other, specific people (and their kids?)
So nebulous .
Brotherhood falls asunder at the touch of fire!
He finds his fellow guilty of a skin
Not coloured like his own, and having power
To enforce the wrong, for such a worthy cause
Dooms and devotes him as his lawful prey.
