Yeah, back then (time warp) freak flags did fly undaunted. I did see that movie but maybe I was in a fog then. There was so much input for our young minds that some of us can't even grasp the major download and dump into our fragile minds. HA! Well here is one that does make the heart strings vibrate and Anne Lennox does also and the Perfect symphony definitely vibrated. Thank you all for the most recent vibrations.

This song is almost 45 years long and was so real to the truth in the hearts of the group that did it. It is still in my heart to truth. The sadness, the tearing away of such wonder by greed and hate and fear. I go to my slumber with a heavy heart with a hollow spot. I can not find words to express such loss.

Wow Steven, just popped back in to this thread and have never heard that song before. He certainly does sum up an awful lot in those two short minutes. Towards the end of our time living in Florida I wound up taking an interest in Florida folk music, which in turn led to me taking an interest in Florida history. From the Seminole Indian who was never defeated and somehow through it all still walks free, to the first of the nation's cowboys who were called "cracker cowmen" because of the sound of their cracking whips, to Florida's first railroad linking it from the keys to the northern states built by Henry Flagler.

Funny how times and eras we live in have a way of passing us by, that's what good ole boy Frank Thomas speaks of in this old Florida folk song "Cracker Cowman", as the old man sees it has all passed him by.

And dirt bikes scream over land that used to be scrub cow trails
And interstate highways have taken the place of old Mr. Flagler's rails
And condos rise from the land and space shuttles fly
And the old cracker cowman don't know how it all passed him by

I'm starting to feel more and more like that old cracker cowman as I watch the world, and even what I do for a living, beginning to pass me by.

Steven, a very moving combination package of sight and sound. Definitely a compelling 5 minutes.

This one goes out to those who callously spread hurt in their wake, we've all experienced them.

I'm not much of a country western fan, but I do like Johnny Cash (and actually a few other old timers) and that was one heck of a song. Thanks for sharing it Fred. I like the one you just posted too Steven. I had to take a music appreciation class years ago for one of my required electives which really helped me cross over those imaginary boundaries between genres. I've even learned to appreciate classical (Karelia don't kick me, LOL). I'm still not fond of big band music. I think we were made to enjoy, make, and appreciate music.

May the song from within come forth, Expressing itself as it may
With nary a thought or worry, For how else to spend the day

Yes our hearts hold infinity.

Endless silver
Wave forms crash in
Sea's too big to fit in my brain [heart]
Nothings too big to fit in my heart

Seas come, seas go
Where they stood deserts flow
Time's too big to fit in the brain
Nothing's too big to fit in my heart

Spacetime strings bend
World without end
God's too big to fit in a book
Nothings too big to fit in my heart
