Sympathetic Magic? A Smoky Scoop!

Tonight at precisely midnight I ventured out for a smoke. Taking my wallet and keys, I left my phone behind and got into the car because the rain was pretty significant.

As I passed the Union-Bulletin building on 1st avenue, I heard an alarm going off then noticed the white firelights were flashing on the sides of the building. ...

Leaning out the window I smelled vague oily smoke like a bad old car had stopped in front of me but wondered if it was my own hood....

I opted to swing by Safeway so they could call the fire dept or maybe a cop would be in the store. The moron at the only open register refused to relay my message because he could not confirm my story.

By the time I got back to the UB building two fire dept vehicles were arriving. One long pickup and the fire engine. Firefighters got out and went in. I had time to go home for the phone and come back to gawk some more.

I couldn't see any flames etc from my angle but they were in there a long time.

So strange. @@ lol

By the way. I hope it was the sports section. Lol... ironically it's what I use to start my campfires in the rain. W t f

To my knowledge our local paper hasn't even told the public about this incident, guess they don't want to report it?
