Journaling for Your Community

Post by Naga_Fireball »

The common thread holding so many people together is tragedy, for a large number of towns in
Modern America.

But rather than letting it beat you, just keep track of the SHTF. Back in the early days, before TV and
Facebook, each and every person who could write and afford the materials, kept a journal.

They journaled the events of each day. Some waited a few days between entries, but they were still writing all the time.

Newspapers can't possibly publish each letter they receive. That said, you never know when your letter is going to be some newspaperman's "diamond in the rough". What you say, namely, what you write, is one of the most important duties of an American citizen.

And those who write from afar, Thank You! We need your exemplary work to keep flowing.

We used to have a culture of largely self a driven
Brotherhood falls asunder at the touch of fire!
He finds his fellow guilty of a skin
Not coloured like his own, and having power
To enforce the wrong, for such a worthy cause
Dooms and devotes him as his lawful prey.

Sorry, phone cursor got stuck.

A culture of largely self driven individuals who worked from the standpoint of taking great pride in their daily personal work.

The journal served both as a record of this work, and as practice for the Great Work we all ultimately leave behind.

So many modern people losing sight of the great work and giving up/giving in.

Not to mention our own government working against freelance journalists in general. People unprotected by the very news agencies paid to censor us all, ending up like the machete victims in Asia. Yet we live in america and deal with this kind of censorship.

Letters to the editor were going to be the example I used, of one of the very last places a us citizen can actually say something.

Expect people to throw your words back in your face. It's flattering. It means you successfully competed with TV for five minutes and made anotger human being think.

Lastly, you never know when you are the Only person in your city or county who is aware of some of its issues

The words we say are often forgotten but the words we write persist when our physical bodies are finished.

Dear friends, I realize we might have differing opinions, but I wrote a short letter to the editor here today in response to a propaganda letter from Dr. Donald Casebolt of College Place. he bashed marijuana pretty hard so I wrote a letter about how much I love doctors.

lol we'll see what happens

p.s. 400 goddamned words is not enough room for flowery letters.

The literal day after this letter ran in the newspaper my landlord tried to fuck me.

My welfare ass neighbors downstairs chain smoke night and day. When I explained the b*tch's cough sounds like a gunshot all night long the property manager did not care, but the police did.

They call them anytime we interact & last time they called, the woman lied.

The other older heavy woman who chain smokes tried to involve herself too. She's been stalking and following my husband & me with her cell phone and being present in common areas during hours that don't make sense.

Housing authority is shittily managed here. Lol

If it wasnt for storshe & transport I know for a fact that the street is happier than my fucking building... Lol
