According to some folks the veterans trip was poorly organized once people got there. GoFundMe wouldn't disburse their money or something and the organizer disappeared from camp. Lol. With like a million dollars in there or something. ......

The natives say protest remains a go thru December. Many are concerned that actual drilling has not stopped. They intend to stay until equipment removed.

Spirit rider resistance demonstrators are still going strong and iirc many veterans remain on site but being asked to come 100% prepared to self support.

I'm extremely pissed re Trump not saying much in regard to whats happened to these indigenous people unless i missed an announcement.

Still not too anxious to get on Facebook anyway.

So proud of you guys for going all the way out there.
Did i tell you my damn car has been in shop for almost a month..... they gonna get chewed out tomorrow like Chewbacca picked up a phone.

Yikes, this ain't good...the Red Warrior Tribe is who organized all the "actions"...while it was actually when they addressed us in the "training" that the tingles of worry of their militant mindset leading to too "white" of tactics for my liking, they balanced what they call the "Sioux praying away the pipe" with much needed organization and "battlefield" leadership

December 2016 Official Red Warrior Camp Communique
Red Warrior Camp has left the Lands and Waters of Oceti Sakowin.
Dutch translation by Alice Holemans at NAIS.
Grassroots leaders LaDonna Tamakawastewin Allard, and Chase Iron Eyes from Standing Rock have spoken and have made it abundantly clear that they want those equipped for the harsh North Dakota winter to stay and help stop DAPL, due to our current circumstance it is with great regret that we as Red Warrior cannot accept this heartfelt invitation. That is not to say we do not support this effort in fact is quite the opposite, we send our Warrior Salute and War Cry to the universe and the Ancestors that their needs are met and they receive the love and support they need in the fight for clean water.
Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's Chairman Dave Archambault has made it abundantly clear that a diversity of tactics in the battle against the Dakota Access Pipeline is not respected nor wanted. We have this to say: without the courage and the actions of those who actually put their minds, bodies, and spirits in harms way the pipeline would be built. Without the Warriors who locked down and took measures to put a stop to the work on DAPL, the black blood would already be flowing under the Missouri river. The encampment itself would not even be here right now. The hard work of the Warriors has cost ETP millions, we have struck the Black Snake a deadly blow.
The peace policing that was led by people who were for the most part self appointed used ceremony and spirituality as a weapon against us, they too have made it abundantly clear by their actions and their constant slinging of arrows that they are not ready to embrace a world view that upholds decolonization and revolution.
After months of active duty as Warriors fighting for Sacred Water and protecting Sacred Ground, and due to the current political climate here at Standing Rock, Red Warrior Camp is evolving. We are taking time to recoup, and expand on who we are as a Society. We have worked very hard here for many months and must be mindful of ourselves and our families and also to self care. We must also be true to who we are and as Indigenous Land Defenders, we are committed fully to our roles as Warriors and have worked too hard to allow any kind of outside threat to compromise our duties and movement.
Red Warrior Society is now dedicating ourselves to building a culture and community of Resistance on every level. We were called here by the People to help fight a battle that is far from our home territories for many of us, we have sacrificed much in the efforts for Mni Wiconi. Facing felony charges, lasting bodily harm and the long lasting effects of battle fatigue we have laid it all on the line for the water. Our time here has come to an end, we have done all we can in this fight and we are honored to have stood beside not only the Tribe but to each and every one of you from all nations all over the planet who came here with the fire of resistance in your bellies and fought hard and long beside us.
We offer up our sincerest thanks to all who have bettered us as a Camp, we are grateful to those who have made our lives here easier and who have sheltered us and fed us. To all those who came forward and offered their help in the form of finances and the sweat from their bodies. We salute you, your help, love, and offerings have given us the heart to be here for so many months, and it has held us up when we were weary from battle and felt discouraged. Without this we would not be in a place to carry on our battle to other frontlines and we would not be as strong as we are. There are no words in this colonized language to express the deep feelings we carry with us, for this movement that has arisen from this historic time, water is life.
One of the lessons we have learned that has inspired us is the very real need for a mobile resistance movement that is ready and willing to dismantle the capitalist regime that is destroying our planet. The mobilization of resistance is key to shattering the oppressive illegal military occupation of the so called 'Amerikkkas', for too long we have lived with broken treaties, genocide, racism and colonization. In order to best honor our ancestors and the future generations we are living our principles by forming a Warrior Society rooted in combatting the indoctrination of our minds, bodies, and spirits. We do not need Standing Rock to exist, but we did however require it to put us all in the same place at the same time. We realize now that all we need is each other, our Red Warrior family has undertaken the responsibility and role to uphold not only Mother Earth but Indigenous Rights. It is with this duty in mind we must rise up and move on.
We are unapologetically Indigenous, we embody resistance, everything we do from eating rubber bullets for breakfast to holding our frontline has been done in a manner that is nothing but spiritual. We have great respect and love for prayer and ceremony and understand its place in a time of battle, many of our People are spiritual leaders in their own right and in their own territories. We are the answered prayers of our Ancestors embodied in the flesh, we are given a sacred duty to ensure the continuity of our Peoples way of life on this planet, and to protect the future for those spirits yet to come. This is a call to action to which no man or women can or should deny in these precarious times.
The time has come for us as Red Warrior take a leap of faith in our Ancestors and carve a space for ourselves to exist as free from colonialism as we can. We recognize and acknowledge our role, we have been brought together by the struggle for clean water here at Oceti Sakowin and we are moving on as a group.
Our time together here has been a journey and a teaching experience for us all, it has honed our vision and our mission as a whole and we are looking seven generations forward. Focused on action to defend our Mother we are moving forward to ensure we are where we are needed and can be effective. Our people and our battles are all over Turtle Island, we have worked hard together to create a Warrior Society that is upholding not only Mother Earth but also each other. We are Mother Earths Army.
We cannot stay and fight a battle for land and water that is heavily invested in neo-colonialism. We are so grateful to the grassroots people who have supported us while we have been here. It is not easy to say goodbye, we are deeply tied to this struggle and are not abandoning our post. This fight is not over yet, the pipeline is still being built, Energy Transfer Partners will push this pipe through unless there is a diversity of tactics that include direct action and no court ruling or legal manoeuvring will prevent that from happening alone; and Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is heavily engaged in praying away a pipeline without action, this is in direct opposition to who we are as Warriors.
We are in a war to fight the greedy corporate whores who are pimping out our Mother for blood money and we say no more. Enough is enough, for over 500 years we have been brutalized and robbed, we are not victims looking for surcease we are Warriors fighting for our lives and the future. We cannot afford to allow our own corrupt leaders aid and abet this process, too many of our people are working for industry, too many of our people are selling out, we must remember the warrior blood that runs through our veins. We do a great disservice to ourselves and the People when we allow the values of white supremacist society to overshadow the knowledge of what it means to be a true human being.
Mother Earth is hurtin and she’s calling for backup.
Warriors rise up. FIGHT BACK!
In The Spirit Of Resistance,
Red Warrior Society

Wanted to thank you again for going to SR and being brave, coordinating resources and documenting, being supportive.

I can't believe this administration's decision to just put the pipeline less than 10,000 ft from reservation boundary.

Sickening short sightedness, I thought Trump was wiser than this.

Wisdom comes when you love Mother Earth, something he clearly does not. He remains the joker card and the question to ask is; will humanity come out of the trauma and take off the masks of pain and fear ... I am every day Present at Standing Rock watching the rising of the Spiritual Warriors, all of them have suffered severe levels of suppression, they openly speak about PTSD and yet they walk and aren't afraid of their inner truth. How this will eventually be seen in our world is yet to be known ... I wrote this on Facebook yesterday and feel it bears repeating here for those who don't use social media ... actually the only real media we have as live feeds are coming in from around the world.

"Friends, if you can get to Standing Rock do so now. We are all going through many trials spiritually, psychically and physically. If folks haven't realized yet how vital this movement is, please take another look.

It is often said that we are waking up in our own time and to let others be, well I chose to examine that belief and found it totally lacking in depth. The Water Protectors, the Spiritual Warriors who are on the frontline facing the Black Snake, the death cult, don't claim to know everything, don't pretend they are high consciousness, they suffer from PTSD, abandonment, and betrayal ... yet! they are standing for all people everywhere. They know without a doubt that our Children, our very right to exist is being tested so if you want to Rise, do so now ... however, where ever you are.

Put aside your own fears, forgive your friends and reach out ... We all depend on it.

Be fierce in Truth, let go of what doesn't serve... All of our children depend on action now."

Pipeline foes returning for last stand; eviction showdown looms

A showdown at Standing Rock is brewing as the Dakota Access Pipeline speeds to completion.

New encampments are being set up by opponents to the more than 1,100-mile-long oil pipeline, even as contractors work steadily at drilling passage for the pipeline under a reservoir on the Missouri River.

Work could be completed in about a month, and oil could be flowing within two months, according to pipeline developer Energy Transfer Partners, of Dallas, Texas.

Meanwhile, the governor of North Dakota, Doug Burgum, has issued an emergency evacuation order requiring everyone to be out of the main Oceti Sakowin protest camp no later than 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

Yet even as the Oceti Sakowin camp is set to close, veterans are arriving and building structures at new camps on private land, and opponents of the pipeline are returning for a last stand at Standing Rock.

“We have many members of our tribe that want to stay, and I think it is important that we maintain a presence there,” said Harold Frazier, chairman of the Cheyenne River Sioux nation. To that end, the Cheyenne River tribe leased land south of the Cannonball River on private land not far from the drill pad site.

“I am not putting out a call, but I will say this: The American government has failed us, but I strongly believe the American people have not. It is going to get real dangerous and violent in my opinion, though, on the 23rd, and I think people, if they come, need to know what is in store.”

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which owns and manages the land, on Thursday declared it would enforce the order with citations imposing fines of up to $5,000 and six months in jail.

The Morton County Sheriff’s Department would have to provide any law enforcement response to forcibly remove anyone remaining.

The reason for the order, the governor and corps officials declared, is expected flooding of the Missouri and Cannonball rivers in the location of the camp, which is in a flood plain. The corps is also requiring campers to leave two other camps on its land, one called Rosebud, and corps-owned portions of land at the Sacred Stone Camp.

The corps has no authority over privately owned portions of that camp, where the opposition of the Dakota Access Pipeline first took root last April, with a prayer camp.

Tribal members and their allies have been working for weeks to clean up the camps before water comes. But those efforts are insufficient to return the land to a pre-protest condition before high water is expected, said Capt. Ryan Hignight, spokesman for the corps’ Omaha district.

The melt of heavy snowpack and ice jams raise the risk of flooding, including flash flooding of camps adjacent to the Cannonball River, a tributary of the Missouri, according to the governor’s executive order.

“We very much support their First Amendment rights,” Hignight said of the pipeline opponents in the camp, who call themselves Water Protectors. “But safety is our first priority.”

The corps is engaging contractors to help remove firewood, hay, tents, trash, propane tanks, vehicles, human waste, pallets, structures and debris from use of the land by thousands of pipeline opponents since last August.

There is a difference of opinion between tribes and their allies on opposition strategy.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe has asked demonstrators to leave the camps and stay away, turning their battle to the court. The tribe is also organizing an indigenous people’s march on Washington, D.C., on March 10.

Continued clashes with police undermine the tribes’ credibility, Tribal Chairman Dave Archambault II stated, urging demonstrators to stand down.

In written remarks prepared for a House subcommittee Wednesday, a vice president for Energy Transfer Partners compared pipeline opponents to terrorists. However, in a news conference at the same time across town at the National Press Building, Frazier said, “from what I have seen, Morton County is the terrorist,” adding that he has been tear-gassed and shot with rubber bullets by police while standing with demonstrators trying to stop the pipeline.

He said he fears violence when the Army Corps of Engineers moves to clear the main camp used by demonstrators next week.

A showdown is coming, said Chase Iron Eyes, a Standing Rock Sioux tribal member and lawyer with the Lakota People’s Law Project who has been a leader of the opposition to the pipeline.

“The Army says they are going to raid, and there are 1,000 to 2,000 veterans en route to the construction site,” Iron Eyes, who was visiting Seattle, told a crowd gathered for a community meeting about Standing Rock on Monday night.

“We will find out who loves this land, and these waters, and who is willing to create the future that we need to pass on to our children,” Iron Eyes said. “We have to remember liberty flows in the streets, and liberty flows from the front lines.”

He advocated legal and political pursuits for justice in the fossil-fuel fight and battle against the pipeline. “But they don’t happen unless human beings are willing to place their bodies on the line in a peaceful and prayerful way,” Iron Eyes said. “Peace does not mean backing down.”

Even Pope Francis has gotten involved, with a statement Feb. 15 declaring indigenous peoples must give prior consent for any economic activity on their ancestral lands.

Lawyers for Cheyenne River and Standing Rock Sioux tribes have also filed more motions in federal court seeking an emergency stop of drilling under Lake Oahe, the reservoir on the Missouri where the pipeline crosses. The tribes want an environmental assessment of the pipeline, including alternative routes, resumed. The review ordered by the Obama administration in December was reversed by President Trump within days of taking office.

That was a violation of federal law and tribal treaty rights, the tribes contend.

Energy Transfer Partners has stated the pipeline will be safe, and is a cheaper and safer way to transport oil than either truck or rail.

That suit is due to be heard in federal court on Monday.

Prayers to the water protectors today, an official eviction is coming up soon (2pm whatever time zone they're in...think it's less than two hours away now)

And prayers for the enforcers, who think they're helping themselves or whoever they love

And even pray for the inhuman anti-life "people" that make these types of decisions. Perhaps they need our prayers most of all
