Pulling on the Threads of Time

Pulling on the threads of time
You never know what you will find

The warp and weft of the fabrics weave
Is all tangled up, and seems to deceive

Who made this garment one may ask
It appears a dark spell upon us was cast

For it belies the beauty all around found
In the natural world where love is bound

Up in knots we find ourselves
How to unravel from the dark ones spells

We tug, we pull, we try to undo
Trace back to the beginning
When all was new

What do we find there, when clear sight is obtained
Would shock even the stalwarts of this domain

The original mage didn’t smoke us with sage
It wasn’t needed in that day and age

First love blossomed full, when first he spied her
In all her glory, and splendor too

Eyes bright blue, hair red as the morning sun
She glowed like a star, with a heart to be won

So he summoned his priests, and conjurers too
To woo her, and win her, no matter the cost
Never realizing at all, what would be lost

He’s been chasing her since
Running this way and that
And she’s been spinning her web
Ever so fast

So spun us a tale, so busy so lost
One wonders what would happen
If they would both stop
I see your love shining out from my furry friends faces, when I look into their eyes. I see you in the flower’s smile, the rainbow, and the wind in the trees....
