Call Me Sam | Detransitioning after 25 years

Post by Christine »

Celia Farber who I follow on Substack is a prolific writer who covers many different subjects. I opened her most recent post with the title: Life After Extreme Trauma--A Message Of A Rare Kind Of Hope, In No Way Dependent On The Outside World Or Any Other Person: What Is Peace? It contained a quote from Sam and a link to a video. It is not the one I am sharing below, however it moved me enough to want to learn more of this man's story.

I've been sitting here in a stunned silence allowing a world of deep emotion to flow through me, the tears are inner tears of recognition, not for myself though I know the shattering of which he speaks they are tears of a widening compassion for all the lost souls who suffer so deeply. Perhaps the real epiphany is that it is now possible to see just how tormented all the kinky transgendered LGBTQ really are inside. Funny how just a small shift in perspective changes everything.

I will let Sam tell his story in his own words.

Telling our story seems a footstep on the path of realising that we are not a story and no story really describes who and what we are. Toward the end of this video I use the word Essence, Truth would have been a better choice of words.

"We need to see clearly and feel deeply enough to bring us to grief." —Sam

The journey, the challenge is to step into the
projection room and stop being lost in the script.
