Very heartbreaking evening yesterday. Was at a park i love checking out nightcrawlers and someone hit one of the baby deer.
I moved it out of the road, unfortunately there is nowhere readily private to process the meat and it was not legal to kill due to age.
Ironically at the park i visited earlier that day, i saw a very young buck with deformed antlers lying dead near the fenceline of the park.
Some hunters are literally so eager to kill something that they shoot a substandard or even illegal deer, and if possible they just let it rot where it lands, worse, it crosses onto a public property and instead of legally crossing to retrieve the animal, they use the boundary as their excuse not to harvest what they have killed.

We had an unexpectedly beautiful evening yesterday.
Geese came in to land on the lake, and did a weird sort of touch and go. When they landed, some extremely loud ducks greeted them.
Atop the hill, a lonely tree with red berries.
Van Gogh might have liked this park a lot. Last year or the year before, some of the cedar trees were looking exactly like Starry Night.
A view from the hawk watching bluff:

Viewed from the local landfill, what appears to be some sort of fire quite close to the penitentiary. ..
Sort of looks like a burning car or truck?? @@

				Dear Phil, thank you
By the way, it Was a vehicle on fire eek lol.
Firefighters responded to an earth mover fire at the Washington State Penitentiary, 1313 N. 13th Avenue. A hydraulic hose is believed to have burst, causing hydraulic fluid to catch fire on the engine. The driver evacuated the vehicle and firefighers extinguished the fire with no injuries.
