Lol thats my youngest son, Arend (Eagle).
We are allowed to comb his hair, but no scissors..

Don't worry your not the first to mistake him for a girl...
Best one was at swimming lessons about a month ago where some girl asked her mom "why does that girl have boys gear down there".....

Doh! Apologies to Arend. In my defense, I must say there isn't much way to tell one way or the other, with that video. And I guarantee you I would not notice the equipment at that age. Lol....Oy!

p.s. I fixed that ;)

I thought of you this morning, Eelco. This morning's meditation challenge for me:

Really, you just never know what the background distraction will be at my house.

Hope all is going well with your meditation efforts :)

Much Love,

I face similar challenges with my practices. Playing-with-kids Meditation, Petting-cats Meditation, and more recently, Pecked-at-by-chickens Meditation, all in all, difficult forms to master.

Is this what you are doing?

http://www.dhammaloka.org.au/articles/i ... ation.html

"The Buddha said that a well-trained mind is the most useful thing and the untrained mind the most dangerous thing to have. An untrained mind causes a lot of trouble to oneself and others, so begin by dedicating quite a lot of time and patience to the cultivation of concentration."

"A clear mind can look so directly, intensely and so penetratingly that we can see through experience and see it for what it really is."

Niiiice. Sometimes I come around to my breath to refocus, when I catch myself identifying with thoughts. Otherwise, I don't focus on the breath. I may try it to see what that's like.

Do things in your life start to go berzerk when you pick up meditation practice, Eelco?

I can't imagine chicken pecking meditation. That would take some doing, fo sho.
