{"id":2998,"date":"2017-02-20T12:29:32","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T12:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/earthempaths.net\/wp\/?p=2998"},"modified":"2017-02-20T12:29:32","modified_gmt":"2017-02-20T12:29:32","slug":"great-spirit-nahko-bear","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earthempaths.net\/?p=2998","title":{"rendered":"Great Spirit &#8211; Nahko Bear"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Pray Dangerously!!!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span lang=\"EN-US\">By Regina Sarah Ryan a former nun<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Deliver us, O Creator, O Truth, O Love, from quiet prayer<br \/>\nFrom polite and politically correct language,<br \/>\nFrom appropriate gesture and form<br \/>\nAnd whatever else we think must put forth to invoke<br \/>\nOr to praise You,<\/p>\n<p>Let us instead pray dangerously,<br \/>\nWantonly, lustily, passionately!<br \/>\nLet us demand with every ounce of our strength,<br \/>\nLet us storm the gates of heaven, let us shake up ourselves<br \/>\nAnd our plaster saints from the sleep of years.<\/p>\n<p>Let us instead pray dangerously.<br \/>\nLet us throw ourselves from the top of the tower,<br \/>\nLet us risk a descent to the darkest region of the abyss,<br \/>\nLet us put our head into the lion&#8217;s mouth<br \/>\nAnd direct our feet to the entrance of the dragon&#8217;s cave.<\/p>\n<p>Let us pray dangerously.<br \/>\nLet us not hold back a little portion,<br \/>\nDealing out our lives &#8211; our precious minutes and our<br \/>\nEnergies &#8211; like some efficient accountant.<br \/>\nLet us rather pray dangerously &#8211; unsafe, profligate, wasteful!<\/p>\n<p>Let us ask for nothing less than the Infinite to ravage us.<br \/>\nLet us ask for nothing less than annihilation in the<br \/>\nFires of Love.<\/p>\n<p>Let us not pray in holy half-measures nor walk<br \/>\nThe middle path<br \/>\nFor too long,<br \/>\nBut pray madly, foolishly.<br \/>\nLet us be too ecstatic,<br \/>\nLet us be too overwhelmed with sorrow and remorse,<br \/>\nLet us be undone, and dismembered and gladly.<\/p>\n<p>Left to our own device, ah what structure if deceit<br \/>\nWe have created;<br \/>\nWhat battlements erected, what labyrinths woven,<br \/>\nWhat traps set for ourselves, and then<br \/>\nFallen into.
