And protects us from harm<\/span><\/p>\n

A harsh world awaits us<\/span><\/p>\n

From the day that we\u2019re born<\/span><\/p>\n

If not for the mother<\/span><\/p>\n

Who gives harbor <\/span><\/p>\n

From the storm<\/span><\/p>\n

So grateful am I<\/span><\/p>\n

For her warm embrace<\/span><\/p>\n

Her comforting arms<\/span><\/p>\n

Her eternal grace<\/span><\/p>\n

She has buoyed me through<\/span><\/p>\n

Both thick and thin<\/span><\/p>\n

She has never failed me<\/span><\/p>\n

Through all life\u2019s challenges<\/span><\/p>\n

Again and again<\/span><\/p>\n

Each morning as I awake<\/span><\/p>\n

I give thanks to her<\/span><\/p>\n

For all she provides<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve not treated her kindly<\/span><\/p>\n

We children of hers<\/span><\/p>\n

But she loves and forgives us<\/span><\/p>\n

As any mother will<\/span><\/p>\n

I try to do better<\/span><\/p>\n

To be the best I can<\/span><\/p>\n

As my only way<\/span><\/p>\n

To show I\u2019ve matured<\/span><\/p>\n

And finally grown up<\/span><\/p>\n
