All Things AI - Economics, Hype, Dangers, and Sanity

Post by Christine »

This seems to be a bit out of my usual but ever since writing my last blog I have become very interested in all things AI, my actual interest goes back over a decade—looking back I didn't see how fast it was coming, what I saw then was seemingly innocuous to what is being rolled out today at such a rapid pace it can cause one's head to spin.

With the IPO of SpaceX and the implications of another great money scam it becomes, in my mind at least, another imperative to see how this false reality is created along with the rather obvious "economic winners" ie: the already billionaire class.

A big question is what does the end user give up for the "convenience" of the increasing installation of AI in apps and on "smart (spy) phones". For those interested I will start this thread with a few videos, mostly from Tech guys or Economic guys. I assume most of the readers of this forum are well aware of Catherine Austin Fitts so I started exploring further away from my usual consumption of online information.

In this livestream, we break down the latest developments in the U.S.–Iran negotiations, the sudden shift in Washington’s approach to Tehran, the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, and why global markets are rallying on hopes of a deal. We'll also examine how falling oil prices, geopolitical stability, and investor confidence could impact Elon Musk, Tesla, and the historic SpaceX IPO. Is the White House trying to prevent another energy shock? Did financial markets influence the timing of a potential agreement? And what does this mean for China, Russia, the Middle East, and the future of global power?

Join us live as we separate fact from speculation and analyze one of the most fascinating geopolitical stories unfolding in real time. Recent reports indicate that optimism surrounding a possible U.S.–Iran agreement and the SpaceX IPO have both been major drivers of market sentiment this week.

What happens when an AI becomes so powerful that even its creators begin to worry about what it might be capable of?

In this video, we explore Anthropic's newest breakthrough, Claude Fable 5, a public-facing version of the highly advanced Mythos AI system that has sparked intense debate across the AI industry. Anthropic has described Mythos as one of its most capable models ever developed, with extraordinary reasoning, coding, cybersecurity, and research abilities. Because of those capabilities, access to the full Mythos model remains heavily restricted while safety systems and monitoring layers continue to evolve.

We'll break down why Anthropic created additional safety mechanisms to supervise and constrain the most advanced versions of its AI, what makes Mythos different from previous generations, and why researchers believe frontier AI models are entering an entirely new era. From cybersecurity concerns to AI alignment challenges, this story reveals the growing tension between innovation and control in the race toward increasingly powerful artificial intelligence.

In this video you'll discover:
What Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 actually are
Why Anthropic restricted access to its most advanced model
The safety systems designed to monitor powerful AI behavior
How Mythos changed the conversation around AI security
Why some experts call this a major turning point for artificial intelligence
What these developments could mean for the future of AI
If you're fascinated by AI breakthroughs, AGI, Anthropic, OpenAI, Claude, artificial intelligence safety, machine learning, and the future of technology, this is a story you don't want to miss.

Jimmy reports that — surprise, suprise! — AI is proving far more expensive than the human workers it was supposed to replace, with token costs for running AI agents now exceeding employee salaries—exemplified by Microsoft banning its own engineers from using Claude Code after invoices became unsustainable, and Uber's CTO blowing his entire 2026 budget by April. He notes that Nvidia's own VP admitted that for his team, "the cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees," and that Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft are spending hundreds of billions on AI infrastructure while discovering that the economics don't work.

Guest Garland Nixon observes that everything the ruling elite tells us produces the opposite result, and that companies like Microsoft don't actually bet their future because they know the government will bail them out, noting that Dodd-Frank baked bailouts directly into the system. Jimmy concludes that the whole AI narrative is "blowing up," that the scam was never about efficiency but about surveillance and control (via data centers, UBI, and CBDCs), and that PolyMarket gives a 22% chance of the AI bubble bursting by the end of the year.

I am cautioned to not take anything about AI as a certainty. The cost overruns, the IPOs, the installation of Google's Gemini AI into Apple with Siri, the hallucinations of AI, the false diagnostics and invented diseases, etc. From what I currently see we are dealing with your basic technocratic flimflam men on steroids being rolled out at hyper-dimensional speed.

And here we are "we the people" most likely being hood winked into a technocracy we could have easily done without. My interest is to hear from others, what they find acceptable and useful to what they are concerned about.

Thanks to your attention to this matter. :D

Whilst I use AI quite frequently for certain activities, I first learned a lot about it. And seriously, this:

"I am cautioned to not take anything about AI as a certainty"

is the wisest advice!

There are a few factors: Firstly, AI is evolving at such speed, there is almost not a single day when there aren't new features introduced, others removed, etc. Then there is the hallucination factor, which could likely be starkly reduced if not completely eliminated if AI weren't a free-for-all. Got a phone? You can access AI. Sure, in a limited way, but I would not recommend the use of it to anyone before educating oneself about how to use it. Of one thing I'm about 75% certain: it is not working exactly the way it was designed, and somehow I feel satisfaction about that.

Also, Anthropic made Fable 5 unavailable for the moment, following a US government order, and nobody has a clue whether it'll be brought back, and whether it's another smart marketing move or something else entirely. The interwebs are buzzing about it.

Hiya karelia, Just like the old days on the forum when folks communicated here. ;)

I agree with what you are saying. We are walking in an unknown field at the moment. . . if you get a chance or maybe you did watch Your AI Guy's video, an eye opener. Yes, the internet is abuzz but almost no one I know is following the bigger picture of the developing roll out. Everything is changing so rapidly that it's almost impossible to keep up with all.

Love you.

Conversations continue to explore AI and AGI, underlining again that we are in unknown territory. I found Mo Gawdat's analysis worthy of a listen. Engaging human love with intelligence is something that AI can not do. I found this conversation had me engaging within, ie: using my innate intelligence with the floating and at times fleeing from the impact of war on my feeling body... His take on the use of AI and drone warfare sound an alarm bell that we ignore at our own peril.

AI Expert Mo Gawdat returns to The Diary Of A CEO to reveal why AGI has already arrived, why 30% of jobs will disappear by 2027, and why the most dangerous thing about AI isn't the technology - it's the people in charge of it.

Mo Gawdat is the former Chief Business Officer at Google X, founder of One Billion Happy, and co-founder of Emma.Love. He is a 4x international bestselling author, and his upcoming book ‘Alive: A Human's Guide to Living in the World of AI’, will be released in October 2026.

He explains:
◾How AI can give you a 400-point IQ boost, and why most people are wasting it
◾ Why Mo actually wants a machine smarter than all of humanity to take control
◾Why Sam Altman said AI will "likely end humanity", and what he chose to do next
◾Why capitalism breaks when AI replaces the workers who buy the things we make
◾Why AI unemployment could trigger civil unrest before governments are ready for it

Everyday I wake up now my mind almost immediately wants to ponder the ramifications of the very strange times we live in, and it’s endless potential outcomes. I’m still doing the markets, even though it keeps kind of changing forms. And farm life. They both seem essential for multiple reasons, in no small measure due to the very strange times we live in.

For me, AI is just a small part of the whole picture. I think about it, but not too much. Like most things that are seemingly happening to us, by forces that are also seemingly beyond our control, I actually find much of it a distraction from what really matters. Other than the fact that AI is employed now when looking up almost any subject online, I’ve made it a point not to familiarize myself too much with it on purpose. I tend to think that what we see here in our so called “reality” is just a small portion of what is going on, much of it on the unseen levels. And that is where my interest lies.

My question as of late is what are we? Since I’m as certain as I can be that we are actually spirits embodying a human form for what amounts to a short time here, then what really is AI? It’s a form of programmed intelligence, in this case where human minds are doing the programming. But then, I tend to think on a higher level, something else, a super intelligence, has sort of programmed all life potentials, both physical and non physical.

For me, that is the real problem with all of this. Had we as a human race taken a different trajectory, a more overall positive one, then the whole question of AI would not be so worrisome. But seeing what drives most people, AI’s place in our reality here could be seen as most concerning. And this ties in to so many other areas of what appears to be coming at us faster than we can adapt to. There are certainly “drivers”, control freaks in a way, that want to be large and in charge of everything.

But, there is also a huge potential for humanity to wake up, due to all the pressure building in so many ways. That there would be the real game changer worthy of our attention. It seems like there are forces that want to clamp down to make that possibility unlikely, but I can’t shake the feeling there are equal forces that want us to come out of the already, even before the advent of AI, programmed stupor we’ve been in.

So, fear and our pre-programmed belief systems are, in my mind, more of a problem than AI itself. That’s why I question everything. Fear of death is a big one, but I’m as certain as I can be that even that is a lie we’ve been taught. In truth, there is no death. The quest to know the truth pretty much trumps everything. It’s not that I don’t care about the AI question, but I do know I’m not planning on turning over my natural innate intelligence to something outside of myself. Not to sound self centered, but what’s going on inside of me is actually where I feel most pulled to put my attention, focus, and energy. That is the BIG mystery, especially due to all the programming that’s taken place. If there are forces that want to keep us in lock down, then that is what they fear the most - us truly waking up to who and what we really are. Because each of us has that potential, having come in with a spark of divine intelligence that is greater than anything man tries to create without that awareness. Just my little more than 2 cents worth.
